A new concept of a composite transducer for amperometric biosensors based on the use of a solid substance with amphiphilic character (called a solid binding matrix, SBM) is presented. The electrochemical properties of the transducers prepared with five different SBMs and the characteristics and performance of SBM-based glucose sensors prepared by three different methods are described. Biosensor stability is evaluated and discussed. The biosensor was used for the determination of glucose in wine, yielding results which were consistent with those obtained with the commercially available Glucose Enzyme Photometric Kit. The average accuracy was 6% for the whole range of analyzed concentrations (0.2-47 g/L) using the same sample dilution in a buffer.  相似文献

Melt viscosities of poly(p-dioxanone) (PPDO) samples having different molecular weights were studied using a controlled-strain rotational rheometer under a nitrogen atmosphere. First, PPDO’s thermal stability was evaluated by recording changes in its viscosity with time. The result, that samples’ viscosities decreased with time when heated, demonstrated that PPDO is thermally unstable: its degradation activation energy, obtained by using a modified MacCallum equation, was a relatively low 71.8 kJ/mol K. Next, viscoelastic information was acquired through dynamic frequency measurements, which showed a shear thinning behavior among high molecular weight PPDOs, but a Newtonian flow behavior in a low molecular weight polymer (M w = 18 kDa). Dynamic viscosity values were transferred to steady shear viscosities according to the Cox–Merz rule, and zero shear viscosities were derived according to the Cross model with a shear thinning index of 0.80. Then flow activation energy (48 kJ/mol K) was extrapolated for PPDO melts using an Arrhenius type equation. This activation energy is independent of polymer molecular weight. A linear relationship between zero shear viscosity and molecular weight was obtained using a double-logarithmic plot with a slope of 4.0, which is near the usually observed value of 3.4 for entangled linear polymers. Finally, the rheological behaviors of PPDO polymer blends having bimodal molecular weight distributions were investigated, with the results indicating that the relationship between zero shear viscosity and low molecular weight composition fraction can be described with a Christov model.  相似文献

The paper reports on the fabrication and characterisation of free-standing multimode optical epoxy polymer waveguides consisting of a core made of EpoCore and EpoClad polymer cladding and cover protection layers. The 50 × 50 μm2 rectangular waveguides are intended for short-reach optical interconnection and optimised for an operating wavelength of 850 nm. The waveguides of the proposed shapes were fabricated by a standard photolithography process on a silicon substrate provided with a Poly(vinyl alcohol) thin layer. The free-standing structure was then achieved by peeling the deposited EpoClad/EpoCore/EpoClad structures of that substrate. The optical scattering losses of the created planar waveguides, measured by the fibre probe technique at 632.8 and 964 nm, were 0.30 dB cm−1 at 632.8 nm and 0.17 dB cm−1 at 964 nm. Propagation optical loss measurements for rectangular waveguides were performed by the cut-back method and the best samples had optical losses below 0.55 dB cm−1 at 850 and 1310 nm.

Contemporary computer tools can generate a tremendous amount of numerical data so the user might easily lose insight into the phenomenon being investigated. Those who use powerful computer algebra systems must thoroughly understand the assumptions that underlie the software. In this paper, the role and importance of symbolic computation in control engineering and signal processing is exemplified. Real-life application examples are presented in which systems are symbolically solved and simulated with Mathematica. We introduce an original approach to algorithm development, system design and symbolic processing that successfully overcomes some problems encountered in the traditional approach. Benefits of symbolic methods and the role of computer algebra systems are highlighted from the viewpoint of both academia and industry.  相似文献

Undercooling and recalescence were studied using the differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) method on real electronic systems. Two solder pastes, Sn62.5Pb36.5Ag1 and Sn96.5Ag3Cu0.5, were used for preparation of electronic joints. Various combinations of these solders and soldering pads with different surface finishes such as Cu, Cu-Ni-Au, Cu-Sn, and Cu-Sn99Cu1 were used. During melting of both pastes, the Sn and Sn99Cu1 surface finishes immediately dissolved in the solder and the Cu surface coating was exposed to the melt. Therefore, practically the same undercooling was found for the Cu, Cu-Sn, and Cu-Sn99Cu1 coatings. The lowest undercooling was found for the Cu-Ni-Au surface finish for both solder pastes. If two separated electronic joints were made on the sample, two separate peaks were found in the DSC signal during solidification. In the sample with only one joint, only one exothermic peak was found. These findings were observed for all paste/surface finish combinations. These data were analyzed, showing that this effect is a consequence of undercooling and recalescence: Latent heat released during solidification of the joint increases the surrounding temperature and influences all the processes taking place.  相似文献

This paper presents the results of an analysis of the formation of an intermetallic bond between a ring carrier and an aluminum piston alloy. The ring carrier is made of austenitic cast iron (Ni-Resist) to increase the wear resistance of the first ring groove and is applied in highly loaded diesel engines. The most important thing is that the Ni-Resist (ferrous) must be bonded with a non-ferrous piston material during the casting of the piston. A metallographic investigation using an optical microscope in combination with the SEM/EDS analysis of the quality of the intermetallic bonding layer was done. The test results show that if the proper conditions are met, then the preparation of the ring carrier can be made successfully, as can the formation of the metal connection between the two materials of different qualities.  相似文献
