There is growing demand for a fine metal-patterning technique to fabricate devices of the next generation, such as patterned media, plasmon photonics, and nanoscale electrodes. Nanotransfer printing (nTP) using a nanoscale patterned stamp has recently received considerable attention because of its high throughput and high resolution. To increase the throughput of the process further, it will be necessary to be able to use the stamp repeatedly, because fabrication of the stamp is a comparatively lengthy process. However, after the first transfer process, residual metal in the concave areas of the stamp obstructs the continuation of the transfer process. We examined a two-tone metal pattern transfer technique using a single mold after the first transfer process. The obstructive gold pattern in the mold could be removed and obtained as a negative tone by using a layer of polymer as a transfer substrate.  相似文献

Summary A theoretical study is presented for the stability characteristics of the laminar free convection boundary layer flow along a vertical porous (permeable) flat plate subjected to a constant heat flux. The disturbance equations are solved numerically on the basis of the linear stability theory for a wide range of values of the modified Grashof number,G, and some values of the suction or injection parameterX when the Prandtl number, Pr, is 0.73 (air). These solutions indicate the important role of the parametersG andX on the flow and heat transfer characteristics. It is found that the present results are in very good agreement with those from the open literature.  相似文献

Calcium phosphate was formed on nickel-free high-nitrogen stainless steel (HNS) by chemical solution deposition. The calcium phosphate deposition was enhanced by glutamic acid covalently immobilized on the surface of HNS with trisuccinimidyl citrate as a linker. X-ray diffraction patterns and Fourier transform infrared spectra showed that the material deposited on glutamic acid-immobilized HNS within 24 h was low-crystallinity calcium-deficient carbonate-containing hydroxyapatite (HAp). The biological activity of the resulting HAp-coated HNS was investigated by using a human osteoblast-like MG-63 cell culture. The HAp-coated HNS stimulated the alkaline-phosphate activity of the MG-63 culture after 7 days. Therefore, HAp-coated HNS is suitable for orthopedic devices and soft tissue adhesion materials.  相似文献

With the increasing amount of information available in recent years, searching for the desired content is becoming a challenging task. In this work, a tool for searching abstracts submitted to scientific conferences is introduced. It not only searches abstracts by the given keyword(s) but also displays abstracts related to a single or multiple selection. It also displays highly relevant abstracts together with possible keywords to help users refine their search. Analysis of the conditional similarity algorithm proposed here has shown that it does provide better output compared to ordinary cosine similarity, as well as the list of possible keywords reflects results of latent topic analysis. An interface for storing and sorting selected abstracts for future review and/or printing is also provided.  相似文献

The purpose of this study was to characterize the oxide scales formed on various Cr-Si-Ni compacts at 1273 K in air and H2O-containing atmosphere by TEM. It was found that CrSi2-(5-20)mass%Ni compacts form double layer scales, consisting of an outer Cr2O3 layer and an inner SiO2 layer. The oxide scale changed from SiO2- to Cr2O3-based scale with an increase in the Ni concentration. However, it was observed that the oxide scale formed in H2O-containing atmospheres showed local SiO2 growth into the substrate. This result suggests that the inward oxidant diffusion promotes the local growth of SiO2 in the H2O-containing atmospheres.  相似文献

Cell transformation in vitro is a model of carcinogenesis in vivo. Two-stage transformation assay increases the sensitivity of cells to chemicals and permits detection of carcinogens acting as initiating agents. [60]Fullerene (C60) was cytotoxic in BALB/3T3 cells when it was irradiated by visible light, but not without light irradiation. Under conditions when C60 was cytotoxic, it acted as an initiating agent for cell transformation, but it did not act as a complete transforming agent. the initiating activity of visible-light-irradiated C60 was statistically significant in a modified two-stage transformation assay including a procedure for replating cells treated by C60 and light, but it was equivocal in the standard two-stage transformation assay.  相似文献

A fuzzy excitation control system (FECS), based on the fuzzy theorem and having the function of both AVR and PSS, was established to improve power system stability. This paper includes the results of experiments of the FECS on the AC/DC power system simulator of the CRIEPI. The FECS is compared with the conventional quick-response excitation system with optimized PSSs on a 4-machine long distance fish-bone type power system and various system configurations. Numerous cancer cells, when exposed to transforming growth factor beta (TGF-beta), become resistant to tumor necrosis factor (TNF) cytotoxicity. Pretreatment of L929 fibroblasts, for example, with TGF-beta isoforms (beta 1, beta 2 and beta 3) for at least 0.5-1 h results in resistance to TNF killing. TGF-beta 1 mediates the following sequential events in L929 cells: i) rapid induction of protein tyrosine-phosphorylation (< 30 min), ii) stimulation of protective protein synthesis and acquisition of TNF resistance (approximately 0.5-1 h), and iii) suppression of I kappa B-alpha expression (1-2 h). Two protective proteins induced by TGF-beta 1 are a 46 kDa extracellular matrix TNF-resistance triggering (TRT) protein and a putative transmembrane anti-apoptotic adhesion protein TIF2 (containing and RGD motif in the extracellular region). Both proteins enable L929 cells to resist TNF killing. Notably, testicular hyaluronidase increases TNF sensitivity in several types of cancer cells, counteracts TGF-beta-mediated TNF-resistance, and suppresses TGF-beta 1 gene expression in L929 cells in a serum-dependent manner. Moreover, hyaluronidase antagonizes TGF-beta-mediated inhibition of epithelial cell growth. Both TGF-beta and hyaluronidase are essential for the progression and invasiveness of breast, prostate and other cancers. Conceivably, a stage-dependent expression, as well as a balanced production, of these proteins is essential for cancer development and self protection against TNF cytotoxicity.  相似文献

Large power system frequency/voltage fluctuations due to severe faults in trunk transmission lines or major generating units may trip-off other facilities and result in large-scale power system blackout. To prevent such blackout, development of an accurate and fast long-term power system dynamic simulation tool is required. With respect to the development stage, selection of a numerical integration method available for step-size adjustment, and the development of a scheme for the adjustment are principal subjects. The trapezoidal and the second-order Gear methods were selected as possible candidates for the step-size adjustment from the viewpoint of numerical stability. The trapezoidal method is selected from the viewpoint of accuracy and applicability to power system dynamic simulations. A new scheme for the automatic step-size adjustment is proposed for the trapezoidal method to achieve fast simulation of the long-term power system dynamics. The validity of the proposed scheme is verified through simulation studies on a single-machine-to-infinite bus system.  相似文献
