In recent years, one of the most important and promising research fields has been metaheuristics to find optimal or near-optimal solutions for NP-hard combinatorial optimization problems. Improving the quality of the solution or the solution time is basic research area on metaheuristics. Modifications of the existing ones or creation of hybrid approaches are the focus of these efforts. Another area of improving the solution quality of metaheuristics is finding the optimal combination of algorithm control parameters. This is usually done by design of experiments or one-at-a-time approach in genetic algorithms, simulated annealing and similar metaheuristics. We observe that, in studies which use Ant Colonies Optimization (ACO) as an optimization technique; the levels of control parameters are determined by some non-systematic initial experiments and the interactions of the parameters are not studied yet.In this study, the parameters of Ant System have been investigated on different sized and randomly generated job-shop scheduling problems by using design of experiments. The effects and interactions of the parameters have been interpreted with the outputs of the experiments. Referring to the statistical analysis it is observed that none of the interactions between the Ant System parameters has a significant effect on makespan value. A specific fractional experimental design is suggested instead of the full factorial design. Depending on the findings from the benchmark problems it will be a reliable approach to use the suggested design for saving time and effort in experiments without sacrificing the solution quality. 相似文献

This paper presents a new hybrid optimization approach based on immune algorithm and hill climbing local search algorithm. The purpose of the present research is to develop a new optimization approach for solving design and manufacturing optimization problems. This research is the first application of immune algorithm to the optimization of machining parameters in the literature. In order to evaluate the proposed optimization approach, single objective test problem, multi-objective I-beam and machine-tool optimization problems taken from the literature are solved. Finally, the hybrid approach is applied to a case study for milling operations to show its effectiveness in machining operations. In this paper, we have made medical application of a new artificial immune system named the information gain based artificial immune recognition system (IG-AIRS) which minimizes the negative effects of taking into account all attributes in calculating Euclidean distance in shape–space representation which is used in many artificial immune systems. For medical data, thyroid disease data set was applied in the performance analysis of our proposed system. Our proposed system reached 95.90% classification accuracy with 10-fold CV method. This result ensured that IG-AIRS would be helpful in diagnosing thyroid function based on laboratory tests, and would open the way to various ill diagnoses support by using the recent clinical examination data, and we are actually in progress. 相似文献

Reconstructing high dynamic range (HDR) images of a complex scene involving moving objects and dynamic backgrounds is prone to artifacts. A large number of methods have been proposed that attempt to alleviate these artifacts, known as HDR deghosting algorithms. Currently, the quality of these algorithms are judged by subjective evaluations, which are tedious to conduct and get quickly outdated as new algorithms are proposed on a rapid basis. In this paper, we propose an objective metric which aims to simplify this process. Our metric takes a stack of input exposures and the deghosting result and produces a set of artifact maps for different types of artifacts. These artifact maps can be combined to yield a single quality score. We performed a subjective experiment involving 52 subjects and 16 different scenes to validate the agreement of our quality scores with subjective judgements and observed a concordance of almost 80%. Our metric also enables a novel application that we call as hybrid deghosting, in which the output of different deghosting algorithms are combined to obtain a superior deghosting result. 相似文献

In this study, a hybrid intelligent solution system including neural networks, genetic algorithms and simulated annealing has been proposed for the inverse kinematics solution of robotic manipulators. The main purpose of the proposed system is to decrease the end effector error of a neural network based inverse kinematics solution. In the designed hybrid intelligent system, simulated annealing algorithm has been used as a genetic operator to decrease the process time of the genetic algorithm to find the optimum solution. Obtained best solution from the neural network has been included in the initial solution of genetic algorithm with randomly produced solutions. Absorptive capability appears to be an appealing concept in the technology and innovation management literature. Though absorptive capability attracts researchers from a variety of disciplines, team‐level empirical research on it is scant. In this study, we operationalized team absorptive capability as a multidimensional construct involving knowledge acquisition, assimilation and exploitation. This study also explores the moderating effect of project complexity between team absorptive capability and new product success. In studying the data from 239 new product development projects using partial least squares structural equation modelling, we found that team functional diversity is a significant determinant of team absorptive capability. Moreover, regarding the relationships between team absorptive capability and new product success, we uncovered that (i) new product success is dependent on the ability to understand the acquired knowledge, and (ii) the teams appear to be more cautious in putting the assimilated knowledge into practice to the extent that project complexity increases. 相似文献

Every quadratic programming problem with a mix of continuous and binary variables can be equivalently reformulated as a completely positive optimization problem, that is, a linear optimization problem over the convex but computationally intractable cone of completely positive matrices. In this paper, we focus on general inner approximations of the cone of completely positive matrices on instances of completely positive optimization problems that arise from the reformulation of mixed binary quadratic programming problems. We provide a characterization of the feasibility of such an inner approximation as well as the optimal value of a feasible inner approximation. In particular, our results imply that polyhedral inner approximations are equivalent to a finite discretization of the feasible region of the original completely positive optimization problem. Our characterization yields, as a byproduct, an upper bound on the gap between the optimal value of an inner approximation and that of the original instance. We discuss the implications of this error bound for standard and box-constrained quadratic programs as well as general mixed binary quadratic programs with a bounded feasible region. 相似文献

Discrimination of quarry blasts and earthquakes in the vicinity of Istanbul using soft computing techniques 总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2
The purpose of this article is to demonstrate the use of feedforward neural networks (FFNNs), adaptive neural fuzzy inference systems (ANFIS), and probabilistic neural networks (PNNs) to discriminate between earthquakes and quarry blasts in Istanbul and vicinity (the Marmara region). The tectonically active Marmara region is affected by the Thrace-Eski?ehir fault zone and especially the North Anatolian fault zone (NAFZ). Local MARNET stations, which were established in 1976 and are operated by the Kandilli Observatory and Earthquake Research Institute (KOERI), record not only earthquakes that occur in the region, but also quarry blasts. There are a few quarry-blasting areas in the Gaziosmanpa?a, Çatalca, Ömerli, and Hereke regions. Analytical methods were applied to a set of 175 seismic events (2001-2004) recorded by the stations of the local seismic network (ISK, HRT, and CTT stations) operated by the KOERI National Earthquake Monitoring Center (NEMC). Out of a total of 175 records, 148 are related to quarry blasts and 27 to earthquakes. The data sets were divided into training and testing sets for each region. In all the models developed, the input vectors consist of the peak amplitude ratio (S/P ratio) and the complexity value, and the output is a determination of either earthquake or quarry blast. The success of the developed models on regional test data varies between 97.67% and 100%. 相似文献
