In this paper, we present the feed-forward neural network (FFNN) and recurrent neural network (RNN) models for predicting Boolean function complexity (BFC). In order to acquire the training data for the neural networks (NNs), we conducted experiments for a large number of randomly generated single output Boolean functions (BFs) and derived the simulated graphs for number of min-terms against the BFC for different number of variables. For NN model (NNM) development, we looked at three data transformation techniques for pre-processing the NN-training and validation data. The trained NNMs are used for complexity estimation for the Boolean logic expressions with a given number of variables and sum of products (SOP) terms. Both FFNNs and RNNs were evaluated against the ISCAS benchmark results. Our FFNNs and RNNs were able to predict the BFC with correlations of 0.811 and 0.629 with the benchmark results, respectively.  相似文献

This article presents a 12‐bit frequency coded chipless RFID system in the frequency range of 3 to 6 GHz. The system consists of a fully printable chipless tag and a pair of high‐gain reader antennas. The tag also incorporates its own antennas to improve the read range. Information is encoded into frequency spectrum using a multi‐resonant circuit. The circuit consists of multiple microstrip U and L‐shaped open stub resonators patterned in a unique configuration. The proposed configuration aids in capturing more data in a reduced space as well as tunable frequency operation. Tag and reader antennas utilize techniques such as stepped impedance feeding line, defective partial ground plane, and stair‐step patch structure to achieve wide‐band impedance bandwidth in miniature size. The results of the wireless measurements in the non‐anechoic environment show that the proposed system has a reading range of more than 20 cm. The presented system possesses great potential for low‐cost short‐range inventory tracking.  相似文献

Metallic nickel (Ni) was successfully dispersed onto a polyaniline (PANI) matrix by a simple one‐step electrochemical method. Ni particles as deposited onto the polymer seemed to be much smaller compared to those deposited onto bare Pt. The size of the Ni deposits was found to be influenced by the electrolytic bath composition and potential sweep rate. The PANI matrix thus dispersed with Ni particles exhibited ferromagnetic behavior and a lower electrical conductance. The decrease in conductivity may be attributed to the partial blockage of the conductive path by the Ni particles thus embedded in the polymer matrix. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Human neutrophil elastase (HNE) is an enzyme that plays a key role in the body‘s inflammatory response. It has been linked to several diseases such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), emphysema, and cystic fibrosis. As potential treatments for these diseases, HNE inhibitors are of great interest. Metabolites derived from plants, particularly terpenoids such as β-caryophyllene found in black pepper and other plants, and geraniol present in several essential oils, are recognized as significant sources of inhibitors for HNE. Because of their ability to inhibit HNE, terpenoids are considered promising candidates for developing novel therapies to treat inflammatory conditions such as COPD and emphysema. Furthermore, nature can serve as an excellent designer, and it may offer a safer drug candidate for inhibiting HNE production and activity in the future. The Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses were searched to get relevant and up-to-date literature on terpenoids as human neutrophil elastase inhibitors. This review focuses on the isolation, chemical diversity, and inhibition of human neutrophil elastase (HNE) of various terpenoids reported from natural sources up to 2022. A total of 251 compounds from various terpenoids classes have been reported. Further, it also provides a summary of HNE inhibitors and includes a thorough discussion on the structure-activity relationship.  相似文献

Influence of Gypsification on Engineering Behavior of Expansive Clay   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
Volume change in argillaceous sediments can take place due to either swelling of expansive clay or gypsification of anhydrous calcium sulfate. Gypsification offers a variety of serious geotechnical hazards such as high swell pressure, floor heave in tunnels, massive rock uplift in dams, and damages to light structures and pavements. Some of these phenomena have been observed in the Arabian Gulf coastal region, where the behavior of local argillaceous sediments is controlled by severe climatic and environmental conditions. Based on laboratory investigation of natural and synthetic samples, this paper studies the influence of gypsification of anhydrite on the engineering behavior of calcareous expansive clay.  相似文献

After briefly summarising the advantages and drawbacks of bombardment with heavy ions, we describe the experimental apparatus we used for studying swelling in nickel. Next we discuss the problems connected with the determination of the number of atoms displaced during ion-bombardment.We studied the influence of the following parameters on the swelling of nickel: temperature, gas content, fluence, ion energy. Swelling varied with temperature and increases to a maximum at 620°C for 500 keV nickel ions. Prior helium-loading of the samples (10ppm) reduces swelling and the mean void size and increases the number of cavities. Swelling grows linearly with fluence up to 25 displacements per atom. The number and size of voids grows rapidly in the early stages of irradiation.We explain how helium reduces swelling in our experiments, and we determine how far the fluences calculated for ion-bombardments need to be corrected to allow valid comparisons with in-pile results.  相似文献

The main objective of this paper was to study the effect of precipitation on the geological development of badlands in arid regions. Field observations and laboratory investigations were carried out to characterize the surface soils of the Avonlea badlands in southern Saskatchewan, Canada, which is currently experiencing a rapid development in infrastructure. Three distinct surface sediments were identified: an upper slope of cemented sandstone, a mid-slope on weathered mudrock and a relatively flat basal pediment. Each of these soils reacts differently to rainfall events. Precipitation results in grain size reduction which, together with the consistency limits, explains the water sensitivity of the soils; the fines increased by 16% in the cemented sandstone, 78% in the weathered mudrock and 33% in the basal pediment. Erosion susceptibility was highest in the basal pediment (2% clays) followed by cemented sandstone (cementation by 6% active clays) and then by weathered mudrock (cohesion due to the 40% clay).  相似文献
