There are several kinds of catalyst for tar reduction such as Ni-based catalysts, alkali catalysts, metal catalysts, and char. Char is a nonmetallic material which be generated by the devolatilization of organic materials. In this article, by using an experimental setup we tried to study the effect of char particles as a catalyst on the tar concentration and produced gas from steam gasification of bitumen oil and to introduce effective parameters in the process of syngas generation. With the increase of gasification temperature from 800 to 950°C, the hydrogen increased sharply from 28.4 vol% to 34.9 vol% and 18.5 vol% to 21.3 vol%, while CO decreased from 12.5 vol% to 14.9 vol% and 14.8 vol% to 18.1 vol% for gasification with and without char, respectively. As a result, it was found that the gas produced is not sensitive to the pressure changes.  相似文献

This paper investigates the possibilities of viable power electronics converters, semiconductor switching devices and electric machines for 10 MW variable‐speed wind turbine generators. The maximum rated power of existing wind turbine configurations is in the range of 6 MW. The proposed alternatives are compared against several technical and economical factors, and their advantages over the present wind turbines are highlighted. A comprehensive performance comparison of modern power semiconductor devices, their electrical characteristics and the key differentiators among them are presented. The power electronics converters considered include all commercially available multilevel voltage source and current source converters as well as the opportunities offered by power electronics building block‐based design. The factors used for the comparison include the converter power range, capacitor voltage balancing, common mode voltage and current, electromagnetic interference emissions, fault ride‐through capability, reliability, footprint, harmonic performance, efficiency and losses, component count, risk of torsional vibration by the harmonics and inter‐harmonics, complexity, ease of back‐to‐back operation and filtering requirements. For the electric machines, this study concentrates on high‐temperature superconducting machines, multi‐phase induction machines and permanent magnet synchronous machines. These machines are compared against existing wind generator technologies in terms of their power range, torque density, efficiency, fault ride‐through capability, reliability, footprint, harmonic performance, ease of fault detection, excitation control, noise and vibration signature, oscillation damping, gearbox requirement, cost and the size of the associated converter. In this paper a new algorithm for allocating energy and determining the optimum amount of network active power reserve capacity and the share of generating units and demand side contribution in providing reserve capacity requirements for day-ahead market is presented. In the proposed method, the optimum amount of reserve requirement is determined based on network security set by operator. In this regard, Expected Load Not Supplied (ELNS) is used to evaluate system security in each hour. The proposed method has been implemented over the IEEE 24-bus test system and the results are compared with a deterministic security approach, which considers certain and fixed amount of reserve capacity in each hour. This comparison is done from economic and technical points of view. The promising results show the effectiveness of the proposed model which is formulated as mixed integer linear programming (MILP) and solved by GAMS software.  相似文献

We studied the catalytic effects of Titanium, Iron and FeTi intermetallic on the desorption kinetics of magnesium hydride. In order to separate the catalytic effects of each element from additional synergistic and alloying effects, Mg-Ti and Mg-Fe mixtures were studied as a baseline for Mg-Fe-Ti elemental and Mg-(FeTi) intermetallic composites. Sub-micron dimensions for MgH2 particles and excellent nanoscale catalyst dispersion was achieved by high-energy ball-milling as confirmed by analytical electron microscopy techniques. The composites containing Fe shows desorption temperature of 170 K lower than as-received MgH2 powder, which makes it suitable to be cycled at relatively low temperature of 523 K. Furthermore, the low cycling temperature prevents the formation of Mg2FeH6. In sorption cycling tests, Mg-10% Ti and Mg-10% (FeTi), after about 5 activation cycles, show fast desorption kinetics initially, but the kinetics also degrade faster than for all other composites, eventually slowing down by a factor of 7 and 4, respectively. The ternary Mg-Fe-Ti composite shows best performance. With the highest BET surface area of 40 m2/g, it also shows much less degradation during cycling. This is attributed to titanium hydride acting as a size control agent preventing agglomeration of particles; while Fe works as a very strong catalyst with uniform and nanoscale dispersion on the surface of MgH2 particles.  相似文献

Flexible manufacturing system (FMS) is described as a set of computerised numerical controlled machines, input–output buffers interconnected by automated material handling devices. This paper develops a bi-objective operation allocation and material handling equipment selection problem in FMS with the aim of minimising the machine operation, material handling and machine setup costs and maximising the machine utilisation. The proposed model is solved by a modified chaotic ant swarm simulation based optimisation (CAS2O) while applying pre-selection and discrete recombination operators is surveyed a capable method to simulate different experiments of FMS problems. A test problem is selected from the literature to evaluate the performance of the proposed approach. The results validate the effectiveness of the proposed method to solve the FMS scheduling problem.  相似文献

This paper presents a review on selection problem of material handling equipment (MHE) and general equipment used in industry area. The issue on MHE is widely paid attention since MHE has contribution on material, good and product accomplishment. Few methods and softwares have been proposed and developed to select the most appropriate MHE for a complex selection problem. Today’s high diverisity of MHE categories and types influence the generation of many possible choices which leads to the complexity. In this paper, a further discussion in terms of MHE and equipment including three major points namely level of selection, the context of selection problem and the approaches are served to highlight the complex MHE selection according to the number of possible choices provided, to analyse the consideration for the problem context, and to reveal the superior method for complex MHE selection. This paper presents a fuzzy goal programming approach to solve a multi-objective mixed-model assembly line sequencing problem in a just-in-time production system. A mixed-model assembly line is a type of production line capable of diversified small-lot production and is able to promptly respond to sudden demand changes for a variety of models. Determining the sequence of introducing models to such an assembly line is of particular importance for the efficient implementation of just-in-time (JIT) systems. In this paper, we consider three objectives, simultaneously: minimizing total utility work, total production rate variation, and total setup cost. Because of conflicting objectives, we propose a fuzzy goal programming-based approach to solve the model. This approach is constructed based on the desirability of decision maker (DM) and tolerances considered on goal values. To illustrate the behavior of the proposed model, some of instances are solved optimally and computational results reported.  相似文献

Thermomechanical and thermal properties of whey protein, maize prolamin protein (zein), and the laminated whey protein–zein films were studied. The dynamic mechanical (thermal) analysis (DMTA) results showed that the single zein film had higher Tg than single whey protein and zein–whey laminated films. The shift in the Tg values of films from 31.2°C in whey protein film and 88.5°C in the zein film to 82.8°C in the laminated whey protein–zein films may be implied some interaction formation between the two polymers. The small tan δ peaks were observed at ?50°C in zein–glycerol films and at ?22.37°C in the whey protein films and can be related to β‐relaxation phenomena or presence of glycerol rich region in polymer matrix. Zein‐olive oil and zein–whey protein–olive oil films showed tan δ peaks corresponded the Tg values at 113.8, and 92.4°C, respectively. Thus, replacing of glycerol with olive oil in film composition increased Tg. A good correspondence was obtained when DSC results were compared with the tan δ peaks in DMTA measurements. DSC thermograms suggested that plasticizers and biopolymers remained a homogeneous material throughout the cooling and heating cycle. The results showed that Tg of zein–glycerol films predicted by Couchman and Karasz equation is very close to value obtained by DSC experiments. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Nanorods of a lead(II) supramolecular three-dimensional (3D) coordination compound, [Pb(tfpb)2]n (1) (Htfpb?=?4,4,4-trifluoro-1-phenyl-1,3-butanedione), was prepared by the sonochemical method. The new nano-structure was characterized by scanning electron microscopy, X-ray powder diffraction, elemental analyses and IR spectroscopy. A single-crystal structure of the compound showed that the coordination number of Pb(II) is eight with six O-donor atoms from the tfpb ligand and two F-donors from anionic ligands. The 3D supramolecular structure of 1 is realized by weak directional C–F···F–C and π–π stacking interactions. After calcination of nano-sized 1 at 500?°C, pure phase nano-sized lead(II) oxide is produced.  相似文献

A new nano-structured cadmium(II) coordination compound, [Cd(phen)(dfpb)2] (1) (phen?=?1,10-phenanthroline, dfpb?=?4,4-difluoro-1-phenyl-1,3-butandion), was synthesized by a solvothermal method and produced a coordination polymer in the nano-size range. The new nanostructure was characterized by scanning electron microscopy, X-ray powder diffraction elemental analysis and IR spectroscopy. Compound 1 was structurally characterised by single crystal X-ray diffraction. The single crystal structure shows a coordination number for the Cd ion of six with two N-donor atoms from the phen ligand and four O-donors from the two dfpb moieties. Self-assembly occurs by CH····F–C and π–π stacking interactions. The supramolecular features in these complexes are controlled by weak directional intermolecular interactions.  相似文献
