The purpose of the research was to establish the influence of the solution composition and the electrophoretic deposition voltage on the coating homogeneity and thickness, nanohardness, adhesion, corrosion resistance and wettability. The Ti13Zr13Nb alloy was coated by the electrophoretic technique with hydroxyapatite in a solution containing 0.1, 0.2 or 0.5?g nanoHAp in 100?mL of suspension and at voltage 15, 30 or 50?V. The scanning electron and atomic force microscopies, polarization curves technique for corrosion assessment, nanoindentation and nanoscratch tests, and measurements of contact angle in simulated body fluid were performed. The obtained results revealed the complex and interrelated effects of both process determinants on the structure and properties of hydroxyapatite coatings, which were attributed to the role of the size, shape and content in suspension of hydroxyapatite particles.  相似文献

Photopolymerization of commercially available bisphenol A epoxy diacrylates with bis[4(2-hydroxy-3-acryloyloxypropoxy)phenyl]sulfide (BES-DA)—a monomer synthesized by our group in previous study was carried out. As this compound is solid at room temperature in its polymerization reactive diluent N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone, which is also comonomer, has been applied. As a photoinitiator, 2-hydroxy-2-methyl-1-phenylpropan-1-one (Darocur 1173) was used. Thermal and mechanical properties of the obtained compositions were studied. The results show that thermal properties of both epoxy diacrylates improve with the increasing concentration of BES-DA. The addition of N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone causes decrease of their storage moduli and glass transition temperatures. The constantly growing resistance of bacteria to antibiotics and other antibacterial substances has led us to an era in which alternative antimicrobial therapies are urgently required. One promising approach is to target bacterial pathogens using metal complexes. Therefore, we investigated the possibility of utilizing series of manganese(II) complexes with heteroaromatic ligands: Alcohol, aldehyde, ketone, and carboxylic acid as inhibitors for biofilm formation of Pseudomonas aeruginosa. To complete the series mentioned above, Mn-dipyCO-NO3 with dipyridin-2-ylmethanone (dipyCO) was isolated, and then structurally (single-crystal X-ray analysis) and physicochemically characterized (FT-IR, TG, CV, magnetic susceptibility). The antibacterial activity of the compounds against representative Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria was also evaluated. It is worth highlighting that the results of the cytotoxicity assays performed (MTT, DHI HoloMonitorM4) indicate high cell viability of the human fibroblast (VH10) in the presence of the Mn(II) complexes. Additionally, the inhibition effect of catalase activity by the complexes was studied. This paper focused on such aspects as studying different types of intermolecular interactions in the crystals of the Mn(II) complexes as well as their possible effect on anti-biofilm activity, the structure–activity relationship of the Mn(II) complexes, and regularity between the electrochemical properties of the Mn(II) complexes and anti-biofilm activity.  相似文献

In the present paper, new pyrimidine derivatives were designed, synthesized and analyzed in terms of their anticancer properties. The tested compounds were evaluated in vitro for their antitumor activity. The cytotoxic effect on normal human dermal fibroblasts (NHDF) was also determined. According to the results, all the tested compounds exhibited inhibitory activity on the proliferation of all lines of cancer cells (colon adenocarcinoma (LoVo), resistant colon adenocarcinoma (LoVo/DX), breast cancer (MCF-7), lung cancer (A549), cervical cancer (HeLa), human leukemic lymphoblasts (CCRF-CEM) and human monocytic (THP-1)). In particular, their feature stronger influence on the activity of P-glycoprotein of cell cultures resistant to doxorubicin than doxorubicin. Tested compounds have more lipophilic character than doxorubicin, which determines their affinity for the molecular target and passive transport through biological membranes. Moreover, the inhibitory potential against topoisomerase II and DNA intercalating properties of synthesized compounds were analyzed via molecular docking.  相似文献

The study investigated the effect of traditional soaking and cooking, storage after cooking and freezing (? 18 °C, 21 days) and autoclaving of two varieties of runner bean on starch digestibility. Results achieved were compared with digestibility of isolated starch subjected to similar treatments. The digestibility of native starch from Nata var. seeds was lower after isolation than in raw flour. This starch was characterized by a higher content of fat and lower values of swelling power (SP) and amylose leaching (AML). After the thermal treatment, a significantly higher content of rapidly digestible starch (RDS) was observed both in seeds and starch. It was accompanied by reduced contents of resistant starch (RS) and slowly digestible starch (SDS). In flours from cooked seeds, the content of RDS was observed to be higher than in flours from autoclaved seeds, despite similar changes in contents of other constituents (ash and protein). It was probably due to better starch gelatinization owing to the long-lasting soaking of seeds. This resulted in a greater decrease of amylose content of starch compared to the other flours. Differences in SP, AML and thermal properties between starches isolated from two bean varieties had no influence on their digestibility after cooking. The storage of starch pastes at a temperature of ? 18 °C, unlike that of seeds, resulted in a significant increase in RS content, which shows the importance of other flour components in the process of starch retrogradation.  相似文献

A novel tin-based POSS analogue, butylstannoxane dodecamer, was incorporated as chemically active nanofiller in epoxy resins and achieved a considerable anti-oxidative activity already near 0.05 wt% and very high activity near 1 wt%. The amino-functional nanofiller, which bonds as a linear segment, displayed a high reactivity towards the resin components during cure and was very poorly extractable. Interestingly, at elevated temperatures, the stannoxane nanofiller, whose functional substituents are attached by ionic bonds, displays a considerable short-range mobility in the matrix, and in course of a nano-phase-separation process, rearranges and polymerizes to needle-like nano-domains. This effect leads to additional crosslinking in the nanocomposite. This “solid-phase nano-precipitation” does not occur under oxidative conditions, where the nanofiller preferentially undergoes crosslinking with matrix chains and is thereby immobilized. Nanocomposite synthesis, characterization and the concentration dependence of the nanofiller effect are presented.  相似文献

Bone structure abnormalities are increasingly observed in patients chronically treated with antiepileptic drugs (AEDs). The majority of the available data concern older conventional AEDs, while the amount of information regarding newer AEDs, including stiripentol, is limited. The aim of the study was to assess the effect of stiripentol on bones. For 24 weeks, male Wistar rats, received 0.9% sodium chloride (control group) or stiripentol (200 mg/kg/day) (STP group). In the 16th week of the study, we detected lower serum PINP levels in the STP group compared to the control group. In the 24th week, a statistically significant lower 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D3 level, higher inorganic phosphate level and higher neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin (NGAL) levels in serum were found in the STP group compared to the control. Micro X-ray computed tomography of the tibias demonstrated lower bone volume fraction, lower trabecular thickness, higher trabecular pattern factor and a higher structure model index in the stiripentol group. Considering the results of this experiment on rats which suggests that long-term administration of stiripentol may impair the cancellous bone microarchitecture, further prospective human studies seem to be justified. However, monitoring plasma vitamin D, calcium, inorganic phosphate and kidney function in patients on long-term stiripentol therapy may be suggested.  相似文献
