We describe an experimental approach to image the three-dimensional (3D) momentum distribution of the negative ions arising from dissociative electron attachment (DEA). The experimental apparatus employs a low energy pulsed electron gun, an effusive gas source and a 4π solid-angle ion momentum imaging spectrometer consisting of a pulsed ion extraction field, an electrostatic lens, and a time- and position-sensitive detector. The time-of-flight and impact position of each negative ion are measured event by event in order to image the full 3D ion momentum sphere. The system performance is tested by measuring the anion momentum distributions from two DEA resonances, namely H(-) from H(2)O(-) ((2)B(1)) and O(-) from O(2)(-) ((2)Π(u)). The results are compared with existing experimental and theoretical data.  相似文献

Specifications of Radio Frequency (RF) analog integrated circuits have increased strictly as their applications tend to be more complicated and high test cost demanding. This makes them very expensive due to an increased test time and to the use of sophisticated test equipment. Alternative test measures, extracted by means of Built-In Self Test (BIST) techniques, are useful approaches to replace standard specification-based tests. One way to evaluate the efficiency of the CUT measures at the design stage is by estimating the Test Escapes (T E ) and the Yield Loss (Y L ) at ppm level. Unfortunately, an important number of Monte Carlo simulations must be run in order to guarantee their accuracy. For certain types of circuits, this requires many months or even years to generate millions of circuits. To overcome this limitation, we present in this paper a new technique where a small number of simulations is sufficient to reach an important precision. This method is based on a classification using machine learning methods, such as SVM and Neural Networks based classifiers to determine pass/fail regions. The proposed approach requires a few number of simulations only to determine the region separating the process parameters generating good and faulty, or pass and fail circuits. Then only this region is needed to estimate the test metrics without running any additional simulation. The proposed methodology is illustrated for the evaluation of a filter BIST technique.  相似文献

Magnesium dihydroxide (MDH) was evaluated as char promoter into different polymers exhibiting various chemical structures. Char promotion was characterized using thermogravimetric analysis and pyrolysis‐combustion flow calorimetry. Gases released during pyrolysis were identified using pyrolysis coupled gas chromatography/mass spectrometry and thermogravimetric analysis coupled Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. Relationships between the MDH effect (according to the char content and its thermal stability) and the chemical structure of the host polymers were identified. It was shown that MDH can be a good char promoter for aromatic polyesters such as polybutylene terephtalate and polyethylene terephtalate. Char promotion can be considered as one of the main mode‐of‐action of MDH at low or moderate filler content. An optimum was observed at approximately 20wt.% of MDH. Magnesium oxide was also studied as substitute to MDH to avoid hydrolysis phenomena due to the water release. But it was demonstrated that MDH was more efficient as a char promoter for polybutylene terephtalate than magnesium oxide. Copyright © 2015 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

The main objective of this work was to propose a new process for household fume incineration treatment: the droplet column. A feature of this upward gas‐liquid reactor which makes it original, is to use high superficial gas velocities (13 m s–1) which allow acid gas scrubbing at low energy costs. Tests were conducted to characterize the hydrodynamics, mass transfer performances, and acid gas scrubbing under various conditions of superficial gas velocity (from 10.0 to 12.0 m s–1) and superficial liquid velocity (from 9.4·10–3 to 18.9·10–3 m s–1). The following parameters characterized the hydrodynamics: pressure drops, liquid hold‐ups, and liquid residence time distribution were identified and investigated with respect to flow conditions. To characterize mass transfer in the droplet column, three parameters were determined: the gas‐liquid interfacial area (a), the liquid‐phase volumetric mass transfer coefficient (kLa) and the gas‐phase volumetric mass transfer coefficient (kGa). Gas absorption with chemical reaction methods were applied to evaluate a and kGa, while a physical absorption method was used to estimate kLa. The influence of the gas and liquid velocities on a, kLa, and kGa were investigated. Furthermore, tests were conducted to examine the utility of the droplet column for the acid gas scrubbing, of gases like hydrogen chloride (HCl) and sulfur dioxide (SO2). This is a process of high efficiency and the amount of pollutants in the cleaned air is always much lower than the regulatory European standards imposed on household waste incinerators.  相似文献

Planted roofs are passive cooling techniques that reduce the thermal load of buildings. In this paper, the authors have developed a model for evaluating the cooling potential of green roofs. Transfer equations are solved using a finite difference scheme and Thomas algorithm. The study was conducted taking into account the Togolese climate conditions. The effect of Leaf Area Index (LAI) and Biot (Bi) number on diurnal variation of the Solar Heat gain Factor (SHF) is presented and analysed. A correlation for the estimation of the Solar Heat gain Factor as a function of LAI and Bi has been established. The results presented in terms of evapotranspiration (ET) and Solar Heat gains Factor (SHF) show notably that the foliage density and hence the vegetable canopy type selection influence the thermal efficiency of the bioclimatic insulation screen greatly. It was found that a larger LAI reduces the solar flux penetration, stabilizes the fluctuating values, and reduces the indoor air temperature.  相似文献

The optimisation of the electrocoagulation‐electroflotation (EC‐EF) process assisted by the mucilage of the Opuntia ficus indica (OFI), on the turbidity removal was performed through the response surface methodology (RSM). For a solution of 300 mg/L of silica gel, high turbidity removal (93.14% ± 1.31) was obtained under the optimal conditions of 2.5 mg/L, 21.2 V, 9.65 and 2.61 mS/cm for the mucilage concentration, voltage, pH and conductivity, respectively, this experimental value was close to the predicted value of 92.96% ± 0.3. OFI mucilage increases turbidity removal efficiency and reduces specific energy consumption at a fixed current density. The turbidity removal of the EC‐EF process was improved by 30.94% compared with the conventional EC–EF (EC–EF without OFI mucilage) which shows 62.02% ± 1.45 of turbidity removal.  相似文献

In this article, we first review state‐of‐the‐art experimental techniques and measurements to characterize the mechanical properties of anisotropic vegetal alfa fibers, epoxy‐resin, and the behavior of the interphase between the matrix and alfa fibers. Second, we conduct experimental tests to determine the mechanical properties of fibers, resin, and the interphase. Third, we carry out a series of finite element simulations to predict damage initiation and to estimate crack propagation in alfa‐fiber/epoxy‐resin (AFER) composites. Different tests to determine the longitudinal Young's modulus of alfa fibers and epoxy resin as well as nanoindentation tests to obtain the transverse stiffness of the fibers are presented. Experimental results from the characterization are introduced in a micromechanical model to estimate, using the concept of the energy release rate (ERR), the matrix crack, and its interaction with interfacial debonding. The wettability problems in the preparation of vegetable composites and their effect on fiber‐matrix interfacial debonding are also addressed. The analysis of the damage behavior of AFER composites demonstrates that under load transverse to the fiber axis, a crack initiated in the matrix is propagated perpendicular to the direction of the load. Near the interface, the ERR decreases and this energy is higher in the presence of interfacial debonding areas generated by problems of fiber wettability. © 2016 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Appl. This paper presents a theoretical and experimental study of the vaporization over rotating bodies of revolution, which are subjected to a constant wall heat flux. The laminar boundary‐layer approach and the first stage of drying conditions are considered when writing the governing equations. Numerical results are presented for the disc and sphere geometries. The experimental procedure is based upon infrared thermography and pyrometry techniques which help to obtain some quantitative comparisons with the theoretical results for the case of the rotating disc.  相似文献

In this paper a new robust adaptive speed controller algorithm for AC motor drives is presented. The main feature of this algorithm is that minimum synthesis is required to implement the strategy. MCS algorithm is a significant development of MRAC. The stability of the proposed system is achieved through Popov’s Hyperstability criteria. The new algorithm appeared to be robust in the face of totally unknown plant dynamics, external disturbances and parameter variations with the plant. Finally, a new approach has been successfully implemented on DTC-SVM. Extensive simulation results are presented to validate the proposed technique. The system is tested at different speeds and a very satisfactory performance has been achieved.  相似文献
