In this paper, the effects of partial shear connection on the behavior of semi-continuous composite beams were studied numerically using two-dimensional finite element model with plane stress elements. The finite element model takes into account the nonlinearity of the different materials involved. For the shear connectors, a non-linear (shear-slip) relation, drawn from the push-out tests, was used. The accuracy of the proposed finite element model was verified against test results available in the literature. A simplified method to predict load capacity and deflection of the semi-continuous composite beams was also proposed. Based on the results obtained from the finite element analysis, the concept of partial shear connection in the hogging moment regions can be accepted provided that the shear connectors are sufficiently ductile.  相似文献

This paper presents a theoretical and experimental study of the vaporization over rotating bodies of revolution, which are subjected to a constant wall heat flux. The laminar boundary‐layer approach and the first stage of drying conditions are considered when writing the governing equations. Numerical results are presented for the disc and sphere geometries. The experimental procedure is based upon infrared thermography and pyrometry techniques which help to obtain some quantitative comparisons with the theoretical results for the case of the rotating disc.  相似文献

In this paper a new robust adaptive speed controller algorithm for AC motor drives is presented. The main feature of this algorithm is that minimum synthesis is required to implement the strategy. MCS algorithm is a significant development of MRAC. The stability of the proposed system is achieved through Popov’s Hyperstability criteria. The new algorithm appeared to be robust in the face of totally unknown plant dynamics, external disturbances and parameter variations with the plant. Finally, a new approach has been successfully implemented on DTC-SVM. Extensive simulation results are presented to validate the proposed technique. The system is tested at different speeds and a very satisfactory performance has been achieved.  相似文献

The use of bulk heterojunctions can increase the efficiency of exciton dissociation in polymer-based photovoltaics. We prepared and characterized bulk heterojunctions of poly[2-methoxy-5-(2′-ethylhexyloxy)-p-phenylenevinylene] (MEH-PPV) and titanium dioxide nanoparticles deposited by spin coating on indium tin oxide substrates. The surface morphology of the MEH-PPV+TiO2 composite films revealed that addition of TiO2 nanoparticles increased the film roughness. The effect of TiO2 nanoparticles on the photoelectrochemical and optical characteristics of MEH-PPV polymer heterojunctions was studied. Addition of TiO2 nanoparticles improved the absorbance of MEH-PPV composite films. Moreover, the photocurrent of the composite devices increased with the TiO2 nanoparticle concentration. These observations provide an insight into new approaches to improve the light collection efficiency in photoconductive polymers.  相似文献

This article proposes a Service Level Agreement applied to the optical domain (O-sla), which is expected to be the near and long term network technology thanks, among other things, to the great bandwidth capacity offered by optical devices. After an exposition of the rationale behind an optical sla, parameters which could enter in thisO-sla, as well as their values for four classes of services, are proposed. Specifications of Radio Frequency (RF) analog integrated circuits have increased strictly as their applications tend to be more complicated and high test cost demanding. This makes them very expensive due to an increased test time and to the use of sophisticated test equipment. Alternative test measures, extracted by means of Built-In Self Test (BIST) techniques, are useful approaches to replace standard specification-based tests. One way to evaluate the efficiency of the CUT measures at the design stage is by estimating the Test Escapes (T E ) and the Yield Loss (Y L ) at ppm level. Unfortunately, an important number of Monte Carlo simulations must be run in order to guarantee their accuracy. For certain types of circuits, this requires many months or even years to generate millions of circuits. To overcome this limitation, we present in this paper a new technique where a small number of simulations is sufficient to reach an important precision. This method is based on a classification using machine learning methods, such as SVM and Neural Networks based classifiers to determine pass/fail regions. The proposed approach requires a few number of simulations only to determine the region separating the process parameters generating good and faulty, or pass and fail circuits. Then only this region is needed to estimate the test metrics without running any additional simulation. The proposed methodology is illustrated for the evaluation of a filter BIST technique.  相似文献

Magnesium dihydroxide (MDH) was evaluated as char promoter into different polymers exhibiting various chemical structures. Char promotion was characterized using thermogravimetric analysis and pyrolysis‐combustion flow calorimetry. Gases released during pyrolysis were identified using pyrolysis coupled gas chromatography/mass spectrometry and thermogravimetric analysis coupled Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. Relationships between the MDH effect (according to the char content and its thermal stability) and the chemical structure of the host polymers were identified. It was shown that MDH can be a good char promoter for aromatic polyesters such as polybutylene terephtalate and polyethylene terephtalate. Char promotion can be considered as one of the main mode‐of‐action of MDH at low or moderate filler content. An optimum was observed at approximately 20wt.% of MDH. Magnesium oxide was also studied as substitute to MDH to avoid hydrolysis phenomena due to the water release. But it was demonstrated that MDH was more efficient as a char promoter for polybutylene terephtalate than magnesium oxide. Copyright © 2015 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献
