We study the problem of identification for nonlinear systems in the presence of unknown driving noise, using both feedforward multilayer neural network and radial basis function network models. Our objective is to resolve the difficulty associated with the persistency of excitation condition inherent to the standard schemes in the neural identification literature. This difficulty is circumvented here by a novel formulation and by using a new class of identification algorithms recently obtained by Didinsky et al. (1995). We present a class of identifiers which secure a good approximant for the system nonlinearity provided that some global optimization technique is used. Subsequently, we address the same problem under a third, worst case L(infinity) criterion for an RBF modeling. We present a neural-network version of an H(infinity)-based identification algorithm from Didinsky et al., and show how it leads to satisfaction of a relevant persistency of excitation condition, and thereby to robust identification of the nonlinearity. 相似文献

Psychiatric disorders are common and complex diseases that show polygenic and multifactorial heredity. A single nucleotide polymorphism (Val108/158Met) in the catechol-O-methyl transferase (COMT) gene is related to many psychiatric disorders such as schizophrenia, alcoholism, bipolar disorder, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. Schizophrenia is a complex disorder and a single nucleotide polymorphism (Val108/158Met) at the COMT gene is related to schizophrenia susceptibility. A novel hybridization-based disposable electrochemical DNA biosensor for the detection of a common functional polymorphism in the COMT gene from polymerase chain reaction (PCR) amplicons has been described without using an external label. This developed technology combined with a disposable carbon graphite electrode and differential pulse voltammetry was performed by using short synthetic oligonucleotides and PCR amplicons in length 203 bp to measure the change of guanine oxidation signal obtained at approximately +1.0 V after DNA hybridization between probe and target (synthetic target or denatured PCR samples). COMT-specific oligonucleotides were immobilized onto the carbon surface with a simple adsorption method in two different modes: (a) Guanine-containing targets were attached or (b) inosine-substituted probes were attached onto an electrode. By controlling the surface coverage of the target DNA, the hybridization event between the probes and their synthetic targets or specific PCR products was optimized. The wild-type or polymorphic allele-specific probes/targets were also interacted with an equal amount of noncomplementary and one-base mismatch-containing DNAs in order to measure the sensor selectivity. The decrease or appearance in the intrinsic guanine signal simplified the detection procedure and shortened the assay time because protocol eliminates the label-binding step. The nonspecific binding effects were minimized by using sodium dodecyl sulfate with different washing methods. The Val108/158Met COMT genotype detection were performed with real samples containing wild-type (healthy controls), polymorphic (mutant type), and heterozygous PCR products. The detection limit (S/N = 3) of the biosensor was 2.44 pmol of target sequence in the 30-muL samples. Analytical performance of the sensor is described, along with future prospects. 相似文献

Direct and indirect releases of large quantities of surfactants to the environment may result in serious health and environmental problems. Therefore, surfactants should be removed from water before release to the environment or delivery for public use. Using powdered activated carbon (PAC) as adsorbent and separating particles with a membrane may be an effective technique to remove surfactants. In this study, the removal of surfactants by microfiltration and PAC was investigated and the influences of the operating parameters on the effectiveness on microfiltration were determined. An anionic (LABS) and a cationic surfactant (CTAB) were selected for the experiments. A series of batch experiments were performed to determine the sorption isotherms of surfactants to PAC. Then microfiltration experiments were carried out. The results showed that formation of secondary membrane on the surface and, within the pores of the membrane, increased the retention of surfactants significantly. Increase in transmembrane pressure and pore size of the membrane decreased the rejection rates, but increase in cross-flow velocity increased the rejection rate. Temperature had no apparent affect on the efficiency of surfactant removal. Presence of electrolyte had different effects on CTAB and LABS. The rejection rates of CTAB significantly increased when the concentration of NaCl increased; however, a slight decrease was observed in the rejection rate of LABS at the same conditions. 相似文献

Introduction: Patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) commonly experience 25‐hydroxyvitamin D3 (25‐OH‐D3) deficiency, and these patients have a higher incidence of cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) due to endothelial dysfunction (ED). The aim of our study was to investigate the effect of 25‐OH‐D3 deficiency and its supplementation on ED in patients with CKD. Methods: Twenty‐nine uremic patients on dialysis and 20 healthy controls were evaluated for ED by high‐resolution Doppler ultrasonography of the brachial artery. In addition, 25‐OH‐D3‐deficient patients (25‐OH‐D3 < 30 nmol/L) with CKD and healthy controls were evaluated for ED before and after 8 weeks of oral vitamin D (cholecalciferol, 50,000 units) treatment. All subjects were evaluated for percent flow‐mediated dilatation (%FMD), percent endothelium‐independent nitroglycerin‐induced vasodilatation (%NID), and bilateral carotid intima‐media thickness (CIMT). Findings: Patients on dialysis had lower %FMD and %NID 6.11 [2.27–12.74] and 10.96 [5.43–16.4], respectively, than controls 15.84 [8.19–22.49] and 21.74 [12.49–29.4], respectively (P < 0.05). Patients on dialysis had higher left and right CIMT (0.79 ± 0.15 and 0.78 ± 0.14, respectively) than controls (0.60 ± 0.09 and 0.59 ± 0.09, respectively; P < 0.05). In 25‐OH‐D3‐deficient patients with CKD, after vitamin D treatment, %FMD was significantly increased in dialysis patients (10.25 [7.8–12.8]) compared to before supplementation (5.4 [2.77–6.15]; P < 0.001). Discussion: These results indicated that dialysis patients had significantly lower blood 25‐OH‐D3 levels and higher CIMT than healthy subjects. In addition, vitamin D supplementation improved ED and increased %FMD in dialysis patients. Our findings suggest that vitamin D supplementation in dialysis patients might prevent CVD. 相似文献

This paper deals with multi-objective optimization of a single-model stochastic assembly line balancing problem with parallel stations. The objectives are as follows: (1) minimization of the smoothness index and (2) minimization of the design cost. To obtain Pareto-optimal solutions for the problem, we propose a new solution algorithm, based on simulated annealing (SA), called m_SAA. m_SAA implements a multinomial probability mass function approach, tabu list, repair algorithms and a diversification strategy. The effectiveness of m_SAA is investigated comparing its results with those obtained by another SA (using a weight-sum approach) on a suite of 24 test problems. Computational results show that m_SAA with a multinomial probability mass function approach is more effective than SA with weight-sum approach in terms of the quality of Pareto-optimal solutions. Moreover, we investigate the effects of properties (i.e., the tabu list, repair algorithms and diversification strategy) on the performance of m_SAA. 相似文献

Recent advances in additive manufacturing made it feasible to fabricate products with desired shapes and features. Herein, a new, photocurable 3D printer ink mainly based on pentaerythritol triacrylate (PETA) is reported. To achieve rapid curing needed for 3D printing process, high performance water-soluble photoinitiator, lithium phenyl-2,4,6-trimethylbenzoylphosphinate (LAP), was emulsified in PETA monomers and this suspension was evaluated for its polymerization kinetics by exposing to 395 nm UV-light. The distinct influences of LAP and triethanolamine (TEA) concentrations on photo-polymerization and printability were examined and an optimum concentration for extrusion-based 3D printing was found to be 10 mM and 1.62 M for LAP and TEA, respectively. Synthesized PETA-based 3D printer ink was functionalized by dispersing magnetic particles/flakes into the mixture, and consequently, a magneto responsive ink was obtained to be used in specialized applications. A ring-shaped structure embedded with micron sized iron flakes was printed as a prototype. This study presents a versatile photo-curable polymer formulation with possible translation to high performance 3D printing of customizable shapes that can be utilized in a wide range of areas such as micro-robotics and medical science. 相似文献

Novel side-chain pyrrole or thiophene functional polystyrenes (PS-Py and PS-Th) were synthesized by using ‘‘click chemistry’’ strategy. First, approximately 40% of chloro groups of poly(styrene-co-chloromethylstyrene) P(S-co-CMS), prepared by nitroxide mediated radical polymerization (NMRP), were converted to azido groups by using NaN3 in N,N-dimethylformamide. Propargyl pyrrole was prepared by etherification of 4-(1H-pyrrol-1-yl)phenol prepared by Clauson-Kaas reaction using propargylbromide. Propargyl thiophene was synthesized by heterogeneous esterification reaction between 3-thiophenecarboxylic acid and propargylbromide. Finally, azido-functionalized polystyrene was coupled to these propargyl functional heterocyclics with high efficiency by click chemistry. The intermediates at various stages and final polymers were characterized by spectral analysis and cyclic voltammetry. 相似文献
