A camera flash-lamp, which makes use of the enhanced photothermal effect in silver nanoparticles, was used for sintering of ink-jet printed silver tracks on Polyimide (PI), Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) and photographic paper at room temperature. After the camera flashing the nonconductive tracks was changed and became conductive. The resistivity of all tracks on different substrates was decreased after the first flashing and the second flashing, while it exhibited a slight increase after the third and forth flashing. Irrespective of the number of flashings, the silver track printed on the PET substrate had the lowest resistivity and it can reach 6.2 μΩ cm after the second flashing, while the track that was printed on the photographic paper had the highest measured resistivity due to defects in the substrate. The thermal conductivity of the substrate had an important effect on the microstructure of the silver tracks after the flashing. The nanoparticles within the tracks printed on the photographic paper exhibited significant melting after flashing sintering. This melting was due to very low thermal conductivity of the photographic paper and slow heat dissipation to the substrate and the surroundings. The nanoparticles on the PI substrate exhibited less appreciable melting due to greater thermal conductivity of the PI and fast heat dissipation to the substrate and the surroundings.  相似文献

The sinterability and microwave dielectric properties of (Zr0.8Sn0.2)TiO4 with additions of 1 mol% of magnesium, calcium, strontium, or barium were examined. All the alkaline-earth metals were effective for densification, and the order of effectiveness was as follows: Mg < Ca < Sr < Ba. The dielectric constant and the temperature coefficient of the resonant frequency were not influenced very much by the additives; however, a strong deterioration of the quality factor ( Q ) did occur when magnesium was added. The presence of grain-boundary phases was confirmed via microstructural observation, using transmission electron microscopy. In addition, energy-dispersive X-ray analysis was performed to investigate the cause of the deterioration in the Q value.  相似文献

In the past, the selection of resources to execute various warehouse operation services was done solely by experts. In this paper, a RFID-based Resource Management System (RFID-RMS) is designed to help users to select the most suitable resource usage packages for handling warehouse operation orders by retrieving and analysing useful knowledge from a case-based data warehouse for solutions in both time saving and cost effective manner. In addition, a pure integral-linear programming model using a branch and bound algorithm to define the optimum travel distance of forklifts is also developed and embedded in the proposed system. The proposed system, which is suitable for usage in a warehouse operation environment, enhances the effectiveness in formulating resource usage package and managing resource operation by integrating the Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), case-based reasoning (CBR) technologies and the programming model for forklift route optimization. Through applying RFID-RMS in the GENCO Distribution System, a multinational logistics company, the utilization of warehouse resources is expected to be maximized while work efficiency will be greatly enhanced.  相似文献

The permittivities of 70/30 vinylidene fluoride-trifluoroethylene copolymer and lead zirconate titanate/vinylidene fluoride-trifluoroethylene 0-3 composites have been measured at 1 kHz over the temperature range of 20 to 120°C. Thermal hysteresis was observed for the 0-3 composites and abrupt changes in the permittivities occurred at different temperatures upon heating and cooling. Good agreement was found between the measured permittivities and the predictions of the Bruggeman model. Implications of the thermal hysteresis behavior on the poling of 0-3 composites are also discussed  相似文献

We elicited three single motor unit action potentials (S-MUAPs) via multiple point stimulation and subjected them to repetitive stimulation (RS) in 3 healthy subjects. We tracked each S-MUAP and its RS trains over two separate sessions as well as the compound motor action potential (CMAP) RS trains obtained from the same muscle following whole nerve stimulation. Repetitive axonal stimulation yields consistent results when carefully performed with minimal variation in each S-MUAP RS train from session to session, providing previously unobtainable data regarding neuromuscular junction function in the same single motor unit over time. In this small, normative sample, no significant correlation between S-MUAP and CMAP RS responses was observed.  相似文献

Sixteen consecutive patients with cutout of a lag screw of a dynamic hip screw fixation in an intertrochanteric fracture were treated with reinsertion of a lag screw, bone cement supplementation in the neck-trochanter, and subtrochanteric valgus osteotomy. Postoperatively, patients were permitted to ambulate with protected weight-bearing. Fourteen patients were followed-up for at least 1 year (median 2 years; range 1-3 years), and all had a solid union. The union period took a median of 5 months, with a range of 3-7 months. Usually, union of an intertrochanteric fracture was faster than that of subtrochanteric osteotomy (P < 0.01). There were no complications of wound infection, loss of reduction, cutout of a lag screw, or osteonecrosis of the femoral head. From clinical and theoretical considerations, we conclude that despite cutout of a lag screw of a dynamic hip screw fixation being difficult to treat, out technique still can provide an excellent outcome. Therefore, we strongly recommend its wide use.  相似文献

We compared calcaneal ultrasound measurements (speed of sound [SOS], broadband ultrasound attenuation [BUA], and stiffness index [SI]) of lesbian and heterosexual women to examine the medical and lifestyle risk factors for osteoporosis in each group. This was an exploratory, community-based, cross-sectional study. Subjects were mailed food frequency, health, and physical activity questionnaires. Weight, height, and calcaneal ultrasound measurements were taken at one office visit. In communities in southern and eastern Maine, 71 lesbians and 77 heterosexual women between the ages of 30 and 50 with regular menses and in good general health were the subjects. Statistical analysis used t-tests and chi-square tests to evaluate differences between study groups. Linear regression models were used to evaluate risk factors for low calcaneal ultrasound measurements. There were no differences between the lesbian and heterosexual women in age, body mass index (BMI), exercise, calcium intake, alcohol use, or calcaneal ultrasound measurements. There was a positive association between BUA and both BMI and alcohol consumption (p < 0.01). Antidepressant use significantly reduced SOS and SI (p < 0.05). There were no differences in calcaneal ultrasound measurements between lesbian and heterosexual women. BMI was strongly and positively associated with BUA. Antidepressant use in both populations was associated with a significant reduction in calcaneal bone mass. Studies are needed to define the relationship of depression and its treatment to bone mineral density and the future risk of osteoporosis.  相似文献

Previous studies in the primate fetal adrenal gland have indicated that the gland is comprised of three functional zones: 1) the inner fetal zone (FZ), which has the enzymes necessary for dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate (DHEAS) production beginning early in gestation; 2) the transitional zone (TZ), which possesses enzymes necessary for cortisol production; and 3) the outer, definitive zone (DZ), which appears to function as a reservoir of progenitor cells that may populate the remainder of the gland and does not acquire a steroidogenic phenotype with the capacity to produce mineralocorticoids until near term. The enzymes CYP21A2 (P450 21 hydroxylase, or P450c21), CYP11B1 (11beta hydroxylase or P450c11) and CYP11B2 (aldosterone synthase) are necessary for glucocorticoid and mineralocorticoid synthesis but have not been localized previously in an ontogenic manner in the primate fetal adrenal gland. Therefore, we used immunocytochemistry (ICC) to assess specific zonal localization and developmental regulation of CYP21A2 and CYP11B1/CYP11B2 in the human (13-24 weeks' gestation) and rhesus monkey (109 d-term) fetal adrenal gland. In the fetal rhesus, ICC was performed with and without metyrapone administration to the fetus to assess the effects of endogenously increased fetal ACTH. In the human fetal adrenal, CYP21A2 immunoreactivity (IR) was present in only a few isolated cells in the DZ but was detectable in almost all cells in the TZ and FZ. In the fetal rhesus, CYP21A2-IR was present in cells throughout the DZ and TZ and, to a lesser degree, in the FZ. Staining intensity increased with advancing gestational age and was up-regulated in the DZ and TZ, but not the FZ, of the metyrapone-treated fetuses. In the human fetal adrenal gland, CYP11B1/CYP11B2-IR was absent in the DZ but present in the TZ and FZ. In the fetal rhesus monkey adrenal, CYP11B1/CYP11B2-IR was present in all cells of the TZ and FZ but was absent from the DZ until near term. After metyrapone, CYP11B1/CYP11B2-IR was induced in the DZ and was up-regulated in the TZ and FZ. Taken together, these data indicate that in the primate fetal adrenal gland, the FZ has the capacity to synthesize DHEA and DHEAS beginning early in development, the TZ has the capacity to synthesize cortisol after midgestation, and the DZ has the capacity to synthesize mineralocorticoids, but not until near term. The spatial localization of steroid metabolizing enzymes and steroid products in the human and rhesus monkey fetal adrenal suggests analogies of the three functional zones of the fetus (DZ, TZ, and FZ) to their adult counterparts (zona glomerulosa, zona fasciculata, and zona reticularis) and their steroid products (mineralocorticoids, glucocorticoids and androgens, respectively), although the reason for the presence of CYP11B1/CYP11B2- and CYP21A2-IR in the FZ remains to be elucidated.  相似文献

To evaluate the relative ability of those striatal neuron types containing calbindin or parvalbumin to withstand a Ca(2+)-mediated excitotoxic insult, we injected the NMDA receptor-specific excitotoxin quinolinic acid (QA) into the striatum in mature adult rats and 2 months later examined the relative survival of striatal interneurons rich in parvalbumin and striatal projection neurons rich in calbindin. To provide standardization to the survival of striatal neuron types thought to be poor in Ca2+ buffering proteins, the survival was compared to that of somatostatin-neuropeptide Y (SS/NPY)-containing interneurons and enkephalinergic projection neurons, which are devoid of or relatively poorer in such proteins. The various neuron types were identified by immunohistochemical labeling for these type-specific markers and their relative survival was compared at each of a series of increasing distances from the injection center. In brief, we found that parvalbuminergic, calbindinergic, and enkephalinergic neurons all showed a generally comparable gradient of neuronal loss, except just outside the lesion center, where calbindin-rich neurons showed significantly enhanced survival. In contrast, striatal SS/NPY interneurons were more vulnerable to QA than any of these three other types. These observed patterns of survival following intrastriatal QA injection suggest that calbindin and parvalbumin content does not by itself determine the vulnerability of striatal neurons to QA-mediated excitotoxicity in mature adult rats. For example, parvalbuminergic striatal interneurons were not impervious to QA, while cholinergic striatal interneurons are highly resistant and SS/NPY+ striatal interneurons are highly vulnerable. Both cholinergic and SS/NPY+ interneurons are devoid of any known calcium buffering protein. Similarly, calbindin does not prevent striatal projection neuron vulnerability to QA excitotoxicity. Nonetheless, our data do suggest that calbindin may offer striatal neurons some protection against moderate excitotoxic insults, and this may explain the reportedly slightly greater vulnerability of striatal neurons that are poor in calbindin to ischemia and Huntington's disease.  相似文献
