Novel flexible dielectric composites composed of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), polyethylene glycol (PEG), and graphene oxide (GO) with high dielectric constant and low dielectric loss have been developed using facile and eco-friendly colloidal processing technique. The structure and morphology of the PVA/PEG/GO composites were evaluated using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), Raman spectroscopy, UV-vis spectroscopy (UV-vis), X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and atomic force microscopy (AFM). The dielectric behavior of PVA/PEG/GO composites was investigated in the wide range of frequencies from 50 Hz to 20 MHz and temperature in the range 40 to 150 °C using impedance spectroscopy. The dielectric constant for PVA and PVA/PEG (50/50) blend film was found to be 10.71 (50 Hz, 150 °C) and 31.22 (50 Hz, 150 °C), respectively. The dielectric constant for PVA/PEG/GO composite with 3 wt% GO was found to be 644.39 (50 Hz, 150 °C) which is 60 times greater than the dielectric constant of PVA and 20 times greater than the dielectric constant of PVA/PEG (50/50) blend film. The PVA/PEG/GO composites not only show high dielectric constant but also show low dielectric loss which is highly attractive for practical applications. These findings underline the possibilities of using PVA/PEG/GO composites as a flexible dielectric material for high-performance energy storage applications such as embedded capacitors.  相似文献

An approach to induce conductivity in immiscible polystyrene/polypropylene (PS/PP) blends is described using a percolated conducting polyaniline/polyamide (PANI/PA) filler combined with a polystyrene-block-poly(ethylene-ran-butylene)-block-polystyrene-graft-maleic anhydride compatibilizer. The approach is based on the ability of the compatibilizer to concomitantly stabilize the cocontinuous morphology and to improve the state of dispersion of the PANI/PA filler. Selective localization of PANI/PA in the PS phase with improved filler dispersion is achieved with the optimal master batch (MB) preparation technique followed by its optimized sequence addition to the blend components. This results in an increase in the dc conductivity by six decades as compared with that of the neat compatibilized blend at an effective 4.8-wt % PANI concentration. An investigation of the effect of functionality and concentration of the filler and the compatibilizer on the filler connectivity in the blend is performed. In this article, two methods of designing a centralized control system for multi-input, multi-output (MIMO) processes are presented. Centralized proportional-integral (PI) controllers are designed based on a direct synthesis method. The inverse of the process transfer function matrix in the direct synthesis method is approximated based on the relative gain array concept. The method is further improved by using a relative normalized gain array, and an equivalent transfer function for each element in the process transfer function matrix is derived for the closed-loop control system. The transpose of the effective transfer function is used to approximate the inverse of the process transfer function matrix. The simulation studies demonstrate the effectiveness of this method. The proposed centralized controllers reduce the interactions better than recently reported decentralized controllers do. A centralized controller designed based on a relative normalized gain array (RNGA) gives a better performance than a centralized controller designed based on a relative gain array (RGA).  相似文献

We report a case of left ventricular myxoma with embolization to the left posterior cerebral artery, causing acute visual loss. The tumor was successfully resected and a follow-up echocardiography after 21 months revealed no evidence of tumor recurrence. The patient also had a past history of testicular seminoma. We believe that this is the first case report of an association of cardiac myxoma and testicular seminoma.  相似文献

Cyanate ester resin-based composite materials have been proposed as potential encapsulants for high-temperature applications. The objective of this study is to develop a cyanate ester-based encapsulant, which can also serve as a flip-chip underfill as well as for traditional encapsulation. Two different materials, quartz and alumina fillers, have been studied. The impact of shapes and sizes of the fillers on the overall thermomechanical properties has been investigated. The adhesion strengths of the materials to the ceramic substrate, Kovar lid, and silicon die have also been characterized. The modulus of the resin and the shape of the fillers play a pivotal role in minimizing thermal stress, generated by coefficient of thermal expansion mismatches. Smaller filler particles were found to have better adhesion to the cyanate ester resin. The high-temperature performance of the cyanate ester-based encapsulants was evaluated by thermal aging at 300°C for up to 500 h.  相似文献

There are many fascinating areas of research related to the response of materials at high static and dynamic pressures. The experimental range of compression achievable in the condensed state under pressure is much larger than the range of expansion achievable before melting by variation of temperature. The advances in the experimental techniques have been matched by the developments in the first principles theories and in computational resources. Studies of equation of state and of phase transitions in materials have helped to increase our basic understanding of the condensed state of matter, with possible applications in many fields, including nuclear technology. The current status of high pressure research is briefly reviewed, taking examples mainly from the work of our group at Trombay.  相似文献

A novel methodology for the solvent free auto-oxidation of methylbenzenes under mild conditions is disclosed. The new scheme is based on a combination of metallic salt (cobalt chloride) and a quaternary ammonium phase transfer catalyst (didecyldimethylammonium bromide) which together form a complex soluble catalyst in the organic phase. Major reaction parameters are studied and optimized and the procedure is applied for the conversion of several substituted toluenes to the corresponding benzoic acids in excellent isolated yields.  相似文献

This paper presents a simple cascade controller in the enhanced modified Smith predictor structure for control of integrating processes. The proposed structure consists of two control loops, a secondary inner loop and a primary outer loop. The method has totally three controllers of which the secondary loop has one controller and the primary loop has two controllers. The secondary loop controller is designed using IMC technique. The primary loop set-point tracking and disturbance rejection controllers are designed using direct synthesis method. The primary set-point tracking controller is designed as a PID with lag filter and the primary disturbance rejection controller is designed as a PD with lead-lag filter. Simulation studies have been carried out on various cascade integrating processes with/without zero. The present method gives significant disturbance rejection both in the inner and outer loops and also shows significant improvement when compared to the recently reported methods.  相似文献

A phenomenological model of the three-phase flow inside an abrasive water jet machining cutting head has been developed. Several improvements over previously presented models such as taking into account the abrasive particle size distribution, and the effect of breakage of particles on the energy flux have been made. The model has been validated using an extensive set of experimental data with wide variations in cutting-head geometry, operating pressure, and abrasive mass flow rates. The cross-sectional averaged abrasive particle velocity at the exit of the focussing tube has been predicted with good accuracy over the whole range of experiments. In particular, the Pearson correlation between the model and the experimental results is found to be more than 95%, implying the utility of this model in design.  相似文献

Ultrahigh-vacuum conditions can be achieved by employing porous absorbent materials such as Ti, Zr, Ta, and Yt. Commercial getters are primarily Zr-based, since Zr possesses the best adsorption characteristics. Titanium is not considered as a candidate, since adsorption of gases by Ti is significantly reduced due to oxidation and other contamination. In the present work, it is demonstrated that the adsorption property of Ti can be substantially enhanced and benchmarked against other Zr-based commercial getters by employing a sacrificial layer such as Ni over Ti, and also by using other surface engineering techniques. It has been confirmed that, in addition to the activation temperature, the vacuum level during getter activation also plays a pivotal role in influencing the adsorption characteristics of Ti. It has been determined that the getter life could be significantly improved by the reversible adsorption characteristic of H2 gas, facilitating regeneration cycles.  相似文献
