Risks always exist in construction projects and often cause schedule delay or cost overrun. Risk management is a key issue in project management. The first step of risk management is risk identification. It includes the recognition of potential risk event conditions in the project and the clarification of risk responsibilities. We conducted multiple-case studies using a systematic analytical procedure to identify risks in highway projects in Taiwan, to recognize risk allocation by contract clauses, and to analyze the influence of risk allocation on the contractor’s risk handling strategies. The results show that the owner allocates risks by stipulating specific contract clauses into five kinds of risk allocation conditions. If a risk is more controllable by the contractor, the owner has a greater tendency to allocate the risk to the contractor. Risk allocation determines which kinds of risks the contractor would take and influences the contractor’s risk handling decisions. The analysis furthermore indicates that, if the probability of a certain risk event condition is uncontrollable, then with the increasing possibility of taking the risk, the contractor’s tendency of risk handling changes from actively transferring the risk to passively retaining the risk. In contrast, if a risk is controllable and certainly allocated to the contractor, the contractor tends to take the initiative to reduce the impact caused by the risk event rather than retain the risk. 相似文献

四川盆地油气勘探结果表明,盆地油气储集层普遍为致密砂岩非常规储集层,有效性主要取决于孔、洞、缝发育程度,因此在油气钻井中如何识别致密储集层的孔、洞、缝并确定其所在井段尤其重要。针对综合录井仪的0.1m钻时及相关参数的资料采集技术要求,通过对大量录井数据资料的统计和演算,建立起储集层裂缝发育程度及裂缝发育位置的3种储集层裂缝识别模型,即直接识别模型、地层可钻性(A值)识别模型、钻时回归(RWSR)值识别模型。系统阐述了致密砂岩储集层裂缝综合录井识别技术方法原理,详细介绍了致密砂岩储集层裂缝识别的3个模型在实际生产中的应用情况。该技术方法的研究在国内尚属首次,为油气勘探中储集层评价提供了一个新的方法和手段,可最大限度地发挥现代录井技术在油气勘探开发过程中的作用。 相似文献

Aliquots of serum collected in a large case-control study of cervical cancer were stored at −70°C for up to 4 years during implementation of the study. When 500 μL serum aliquots were thawed in preparation for carotenoid and vitamin A assays, volumes were noticeably variable and fell below 500 μL in the majority of the samples. We were concerned about evaporation/sublimation during storage of the samples because loss of water would concentrate the analytes of interest. We evaluated the use of density and sodium ion concentration measurements to confirm its occurrence. We found that serum density was an unreliable indicator of extent of volume loss since the anticipated increases in density due to evaporation were of the same magnitude as inter-individual variation in serum density. In contrast, Na+ concentration is tightly regulated and would rise if water had been lost from the samples. In a representative sample of serum aliquots from the case-control study, 24 of 25 vials contained less than 500 μL of serum. The mean sodium ion concentration (138.1 ± 3.6 mmol/L) was within the normal range for human serum of 136–145 mmol/L, and no correlation was observed between serum volume and Na+ concentration. These results strongly suggest that the observed low volumes were not due to evaporative losses. Instead, the variably low volumes of serum aliquots were probably due to pipetting errors in the initial aliquotting resulting from the use of air-displacement pipettes. 相似文献

1. The haemodynamic mechanisms by which infusion of angiotensin II (AngII), either into the lateral cerebral ventricles (i.c.v.) or intravenously (i.v.), increased arterial pressure were studied in conscious sheep. 2. Sheep were previously fitted with flow probes for measurement of cardiac output and coronary, mesenteric, renal and iliac blood flows. 3. Intracerebroventricular AngII (10 nmol/h for 1 h) increased arterial pressure by 11 +/- 4 mmHg (P < 0.001) due to vasoconstriction, predominantly in the mesentric vasculature. These effects developed over 30 min and took 2 h to return to control. Following the infusion renal conductance increased continuously for 3 h, resulting in a parallel increase in renal blood flow (to 75 +/- 18 mL/min above control, P < 0.001). 4. Intracerebroventricular AngII increased plasma vasopressin from 0.8 +/- 0.3 to 7.2 +/- 1.8 pg/mL (P, 0.01), and reduced plasma renin concentration from 0.9 +/- 0.3 to < 0.4 nmol/L/h. 5. The pressor effect of i.v. AngII (5, 10, 25, 50 nmol/h) also depended on peripheral vasoconstriction, but the pattern of responses was different. The greatest degree of vasoconstriction occurred in the renal, followed by the mesentric and iliac vascular beds; these effects were rapid in onset and offset. 6. In conclusion, the pressor responses to both i.c.v. and i.v. angiotensin depended on peripheral vasoconstriction, but there were contrasting regional haemodynamic changes. ICV AngII caused a prolonged pressor response, mainly due to mesentric vasoconstriction possibly partly due to vasopressin release, and following the infusion there was a pronounced, long-lasting renal vasodilatation. Metal-organic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD) performance is optimized for growing titanium dioxide (TiO2) thin films. Different gas flow directions and susceptor rotation, along with reactor geometry and shape variations are considered. Gravity proves to be an important parameter in changing the flow pattern in the reaction chamber. However, since film uniformity is not improved by changing the flow direction, modifying the reactor geometry is also proposed. Among the different geometrical parameters, the susceptor-inlet distance, inlet tube diameter, and susceptor size are considered. To minimize the occurrence of recirculation cells in the reaction chamber, modifications in the reactor shape are also suggested. In this paper we analyze the algebraic formulations of certain geometry statements appearing in recent literature related to mechanical geometry theorem proving and give several examples to show that one of these formulations can cause serious problems.
