The temperature and pressure characteristics of a noncentrosymmetric crystal modification of NaNbO3 were studied by Raman spectroscopy. A transition towards the bulk-like structure of NaNbO3 occurs in the temperature range from 280 to 360 °C. High-pressure Raman spectroscopy revealed successive pressure-induced
phase transitions at around 2, 6.5 and 10 GPa. Raman scattering profiles recorded above 7 GPa correspond to those reported
for the bulk. The temperature-induced spectral changes were completely reversible between −150 and 450 °C. Those induced by
pressure were almost reversible from ambient pressure up to 15.9 GPa. Piezoresponse force microscopy demonstrated the occurrence
of piezoelectric activity for submicron NaNbO3 crystals with particle size ranging from 200 to 400 nm. The noncentrosymmetric crystallographic structure plays a critical

The current access policies and funding schemes of computing e-infrastructures represent a huge challenge for the sustainable growth of computing e-infrastructures and a serious jeopardy for investments made into these e-infrastructures. In order to be able to address these issues, the economics of computing e-infrastructures has to be understood thoroughly. As a first step in this direction, this paper conducts a set of computing e-infrastructure case studies and discusses the economic issues of different global computing e-infrastructure efforts. The analyses results show that the major shortcomings that need to be resolved are the insufficient involvement of the private sector in the development of computing e-infrastructures, the restricted user access to e-infrastructure resources, and the lack of sustainable funding. As a solution to these shortcomings, we propose a new funding and governing model for computing e-infrastructures. It follows a token-based market mechanism that allows a business-oriented operation of the computing e-infrastructure. We argue that this new model fosters the transition towards a sustainable computing e-infrastructure, being another requirement for successfully implementing the cloud computing vision. Definition of the problem Medical confidentiality, which is one of the main pillars of medical ethics, has taken a decisive role in the latest discussions about the improvement of child protection laws. Inexplicit and plurivalent arrangements and procedures of how to legally handle child abuse cases when persons with legal custody refuse to take further support are seen as an obstacle for effective child protection. Arguments Non-specific legal regulations lead to task uncertainty and hesitation on the side of health care professionals, which can result in the delay or even prevention of necessary actions. Therefore, new laws on the federal level have been passed in order to establish certainty with regard to professional secrecy and in order to foster networking among the actors in the field of child protection. Conclusion The paper analyses and discusses these legal attempts at strengthening child protection. In power electronics, the switching elements are controlled by pulse width modulated (PWM) signals making their currents on and off repeatedly. This might cause electromagnetic interference (EMI) problems especially in switched mode power supplies. One method for mitigating the EMI is to use the frequency modulation technique in the control signal of the switching metal–oxide–semiconductor field‐effect transistor. According to this approach, frequency of the PWM signal is modulated in order to spread its spectrum and hence reduce the EMI levels.
