In addition to the respective pore space geometries, transport enhancement in hierarchical nanoporous materials may most decisively depend on the nature of the probe molecule under consideration. As a function of these two influences, mass transfer in hierarchical materials may follow quite different scenarios. Considering mass transfer enhancement by a network of mesopores within a microporous continuum, this work presents an approach to assess these influences quantitatively. The validity of this approach is tested by dynamic Monte Carlo simulations and by comparison with the results of diffusion measurements.  相似文献

We analyze the effect of spurious diffraction orders when generating functional multifoci patterns produced by illuminating a phase-only hologram with a single Gaussian beam. Using a practical device for encoding a hologram generates an undesirable zero order and high-diffraction orders at the Fourier plane. This translates to the fact that a significant fraction of the incident light does not necessarily convert to functional multifoci patterns. In most applications, the zero order can be avoided by generating foci patterns shifted off the optical axis, which further increases the amount of light distributed to spurious high-diffraction orders owing to the reduction of light directed to the desired foci pattern. We analyze the amount of light dispersed to spurious orders and show that these unwanted orders can be a major limiting factor for most applications based on arbitrary multifoci patterns.  相似文献

The dependence on laser fluence and laser pulse duration of size, size distribution and concentration of gold nanoparticles synthesized by laser ablation in liquid media was investigated. It was demonstrated that increasing laser energy from 1 to 5 mJ/pulse enhances the ablation rate by a factor of 100. The behavior of the ablation rate, hence of the nanoparticle concentration, as a function of pulse duration (varied from 40 fs to 200 ps) was found to strongly differ from that in air, which can be explained by photoionization and important losses of laser energy in the femtosecond regime. The optimal pulse duration for maximum ablation rate in liquid media was found to be equal to 2 ps.  相似文献

This paper considers a scheduling problem with component availability constraints in a supply chain consisting of two manufacturing facilities and a merge-in-transit facility. Three mixed-integer programming (MIP) models and a constraint programming (CP) model are compared in an extensive numerical study. Results show that when there are no components shared among the two manufacturers, the MIP model based on time-index variables is the best for proving optimality for problems with short processing times whereas the CP model tends to perform better than the others for problems with a large range of processing times. When shared components are added, the performance of all models deteriorates, with the time-indexed MIP providing the best results. By explicitly modelling the dependence of scheduling decisions on the availability of component parts, we contribute to the literature on the integration of inventory and scheduling decisions, which is necessary for solving realistic supply chain problems.  相似文献

The microstructure development in CrMnNi TRIP steel during the onset of the plastic deformation was investigated with the aid of in‐situ X‐ray diffraction experiments. The analysis of the shift and broadening of the X‐ray diffraction lines allowed the elastic and the plastic components of the lattice deformation to be separated from each other. This separation made possible to follow the formation of the microstructure features like stacking faults, deformation bands and local lattice rotations that were afterwards confirmed by X‐ray diffraction with high resolution, scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy.  相似文献

In many assembly systems, ergonomics can have great impact on productivity and human safety. Traditional assembly systems optimisation approaches consider only time and cost variables, while few studies include also ergonomics aspects. In this study, a new multi-objective model for solving assembly line balancing problem is developed and discussed in order to include also the ergonomics aspect. First, based on main features of assembly workstations, the energy expenditure concept is used in order to estimate the ergonomics level, thanks to a new technique, called Predetermined Motion Energy System, which helps rapidly estimate the energy expenditure values. Then, a multi-objective approach, based on four different objective functions, is introduced in order to define the efficient frontiers of optimal solutions. To complete the study, a simple numerical example for a real case is presented to analyse the behaviour of Pareto frontiers varying several parameters linked to the energy and time value.  相似文献

As new media are becoming daily fare, Internet addiction appears as a potential problem in adolescents. From the reported negative consequences, it appears that Internet addiction can have a variety of detrimental outcomes for young people that may require professional intervention. Researchers have now identified a number of activities and personality traits associated with Internet addiction. This study aimed to synthesise previous findings by (i) assessing the prevalence of potential Internet addiction in a large sample of adolescents, and (ii) investigating the interactions between personality traits and the usage of particular Internet applications as risk factors for Internet addiction. A total of 3105 adolescents in the Netherlands filled out a self-report questionnaire including the Compulsive Internet Use Scale and the Quick Big Five Scale. Results indicate that 3.7% of the sample were classified as potentially being addicted to the Internet. The use of online gaming and social applications (online social networking sites and Twitter) increased the risk for Internet addiction, whereas extraversion and conscientiousness appeared as protective factors in high frequency online gamers. The findings support the inclusion of ‘Internet addiction’ in the DSM-V. Vulnerability and resilience appear as significant aspects that require consideration in further studies.  相似文献

X-ray photodynamic therapy (XPDT) has been recently considered as an efficient alternative to conventional radiotherapy of malignant tissues. Nanocomposites for XPDT typically consist of two components—a nanophosphor which re-emits X-rays into visible light that in turn is absorbed by the second component, a photosensitizer, for further generation of reactive oxygen species. In this study, BaGdF5 nanophosphors doped with different Eu:Gd ratios in the range from 0.01 to 0.50 were synthesized by the microwave route. According to transmission electron microscopy (TEM), the average size of nanophosphors was ~12 nm. Furthermore, different coatings with amorphous SiO2 and citrates were systematically studied. Micro-CT imaging demonstrated superior X-ray attenuation and sufficient contrast in the liver and the spleen after intravenous injection of citric acid-coated nanoparticles. In case of the SiO2 surface, post-treatment core–shell morphology was verified via TEM and the possibility of tunable shell size was reported. Nitrogen adsorption/desorption analysis revealed mesoporous SiO2 formation characterized by the slit-shaped type of pores that should be accessible for methylene blue photosensitizer molecules. It was shown that SiO2 coating subsequently facilitates methylene blue conjugation and results in the formation of the BaGdF5: 10% Eu3+@SiO2@MB nanocomposite as a promising candidate for application in XPDT.  相似文献

The quality of germanium crystals deposited from the gas phase by chemical vapor deposition using pyrolytic decomposition of GeH4 in a helium atmosphere at various growth temperatures on silicon substrates was determined.X-ray diffraction and rocking curve measurements proved to be very useful in determining the degree of preferred orientation of the germanium deposit, since they distinguish clearly between the reflections of the thin germanium deposited layer and those of the thick silicon substrate. Therefore they permit fairly accurate calculations. Laue measurements, in this case, proved to be unsatisfactory because of inadequately low resolution. The results show that a preferred orientation of germanium crystallites in the layer of up to 99.9% was reached.  相似文献
