In this paper we propose a distributed locality sensitive hashing based framework for image super resolution exploiting computational and storage efficiency of cloud. Now days huge multimedia data is available on the cloud which can be utilized using store anywhere and excess anywhere model. It may be noted that super resolution is required for consumer electronics display devices due to various reasons. The propose framework exploits the image correlation for image super resolution using locality sensitive hashing (LSH) for manifold learning. In our work we have exploited the benefits of manifold learning for image super resolution, which in-turn is a highly time complex operation. The time complexity is involved due to finding the approximate nearest neighbors from trillion of image patches for locally linear embedding (LLE) operation. In our approach it is mitigated by using a distributed framework which internally uses hash tables for mapping of patches in the target image from a database of internet picture collection. The proposed framework for super resolution provides promising results in comparison to existing approaches.

This paper is concerned with enhanced process design and control of a multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) granulation process. The work is based on a first-principles mechanistic three-dimensional population balance model (3D-PBM), which has been previously validated against experiments at the laboratory-scale for various operating conditions and formulations. The main objective of this study is via a novel process design, to control and operate the granulation process under more optimal conditions. Novelty of the work lies in the usage of the validated 3D-PBM to extract suitable multiple control-loop pairings from which an overall control loop performance is qualitatively and quantitatively assessed. Results show that for most existing granulation process configurations, enhanced control-loop performance is not achieved and as a result an alternative process design strategy is necessary. The proposed design demonstrates increased efficiency in the control and operation of the granulation process, which is required for further efficient control and operation of subsequent downstream processes. 相似文献
In this work, we have attempted to fabricate flexible single walled carbon nanotube based sensor for detection of 2,4-dinitrotoluene (DNT) an explosive chemical. For analyte sensing study, the flexible sensor is fabricated by vacuum filtration method. These fabricated gas sensors are characterised by SEM and Raman spectroscopy. The sensor response is investigated toward the explosive chemicals which have NO2 group in their molecular structure. The fabricated sensor is able to detect the traces of DNT at room temperature. The sensor gives 0.28–0.32% repeatable response to 0.22 ppm of DNT. The response of sensor increases with increase in the vapour concentration of the DNT vapours. 相似文献
Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) steelmaking uses different carbon based materials as foaming agents. Depending on cost and availability, anthracite and metallurgical coke are among the conventional injecting materials. Considering the energy and green house gas emissions requirements, alternative carbon sources are put on the spot to replace, at least partially, the conventional materials, i.e. waste materials such as rubber and high density polyethylene (HDPE) plastics may react with gas and slag phases resulting in devolatilization, combustion and iron oxide reduction reactions. The addition of waste tyres and waste plastics in EAF steelmaking has been studied in detail by our groups at UNSW and OneSteel is developing a method for EAFs to use blends of different proportions of rubber/HDPE plastics and coke as a slag foaming agent. Initially, laboratory investigations were carried out to establish the feasibility of carbon and polymer blends as foaming agents. The enhanced slag foaming performance compared to coke was found to be in good accordance with the results obtained in the laboratory indicating an increased slag volume when using polymeric blends. Following the successful installation of materials handling systems at both plants, the use of a rubber and coke blend is no longer considered a trial and is instead standard practice. 相似文献
A comparison of the CNTFET device with the MOSFET device in the nanometer regime is reported.The characteristics of both devices are observed as varying the oxide thickness.Thereafter,we have analyzed the effect of the chiral vector and the temperature on the threshold voltage of the CNTFET device.After simulation on the HSPICE tool,we observed that the high threshold voltage can be achieved at a low chiral vector pair.It is also observed that the effect of temperature on the threshold voltage of the CNTFET is negligibly small.After that,we have analyzed the channel length variation and their impact on the threshold voltage of the CNTFET as well as MOSFET devices.We found an anomalous effect from our simulation result that the threshold voltage increases with decreasing the channel length in CNTFET devices; this is contrary to the well known short channel effect.It is observed that at below the 10 nm channel length,the threshold voltage is increased rapidly in the case of the CNTFET device,whereas in the case of the MOSFET device,the threshold voltage decreases drastically. 相似文献

BACKGROUND: The use of phenobarbital for childhood epilepsy is controversial because of reported behavioural side-effects; however, whether this research can validly be extrapolated to developing countries is not clear. We undertook a randomised comparison of phenobarbital and phenytoin to assess the acceptability and efficacy of phenobarbital as monotherapy for childhood epilepsy in rural India. METHODS: Between August, 1995, and February, 1996, 109 unselected children aged 2-18 years with partial and generalised tonic-clonic epilepsy were identified by population screening. 15 families declined to take part. 94 children were randomly allocated treatment with phenobarbital (1.5 mg/kg daily for 2 weeks; maintenance dose 3.0 mg/kg daily; n = 47) or phenytoin (2.5 mg/kg daily then 5.0 mg/kg daily; n = 47). Children were followed up for 12 months. The primary outcome measure was the frequency of behavioural side-effects; behaviour was assessed by the Conners parent rating scale for children aged 6 years and older, and by the preschool behaviour screening questionnaire (BSQ) for those aged 2-5 years, at 12 months or at withdrawal from treatment. Analysis was by intention to treat. FINDINGS: The mean log-transformed scores on the behaviour rating scales did not differ significantly between the phenobarbital and phenytoin groups (Conners 2.64 [SD 0.71] vs 2.65 [0.89], p = 0.97; n = 32 in each group: BSQ 2.12 [1.31] vs 2.18 [1.02], p = 0.94; n = 4 vs 3). The odds ratio for behavioural problems (phenobarbital vs phenytoin) was 0.51 (95% CI 0.16-1.59). There was no excess in parental reports of side-effects for phenobarbital. We found no difference in efficacy between the study drugs (adjusted hazard ratio for time to first seizure from randomisation 0.97 [0.28-3.30]). INTERPRETATION: This evidence supports the acceptability of phenobarbital as a first-line drug for childhood epilepsy in rural settings in developing countries. 相似文献
