本文整理出巴米扬山谷遗址群的年代学证据,旨在重现大佛的历史与图像地位。首先介绍了巴米扬山谷遗址群的研究方法和年代阶段,接着讨论玄奘所见所录的大佛的原始配置,最后将三尊佛像放入其原始的图像志语境中去考查,认为涅檗像原应位于38米大佛和55米大佛之间。后者为宝装焰肩佛,其神格应为燃灯佛;38米大佛为释迦佛。而巡礼者所遵循的应是燃灯佛-释迦佛-涅粲佛-弥勒佛的绕拜顺序。  相似文献

Objective: Objective examination of cognitive fatigue in persons with multiple sclerosis (MS). Participants: Fifty-six individuals with MS and 39 age- and education-matched healthy control subjects. Main Outcome Measures: Cognitive fatigue, operationalized as the failure to sustain effort over the course of a continuous working memory task; performance on the Paced Auditory Serial Addition Test was examined, with number of correct responses generated and responses produced under conditions of sustained central executive load as the dependent variables. Results: Cognitively impaired MS subjects produced significantly fewer correct responses than either nonimpaired MS subjects or healthy control subjects, who performed at a comparable level. Both MS groups, however, showed susceptibility to cognitive fatigue significantly earlier in time than the healthy group. International open government initiatives are releasing an increasing volume of raw government datasets directly to citizens via the Web. The transparency resulting from these releases not only creates new application opportunities but also imposes new burdens inherent to large-scale distributed data integration, collaborative data manipulation and transparent data consumption. The Tetherless World Constellation (TWC) at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) has developed the Semantic Web-based TWC LOGD portal to support the deployment of linked open government data (LOGD). The portal is both an open source infrastructure supporting linked open government data production and consumption and a vibrant community portal that educates and serves the growing international open government community of developers, data curators and end users. This paper motivates and introduces the TWC LOGD Portal and highlights innovative aspects and lessons learned.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

Total quality management (TQM) has been increasingly accepted as a management philosophy. Criteria such as those contained in the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award (MBNQA) often guide TQM implementation. However, reports indicate that fully assessing TQM efforts is difficult and hiring experts to help with this task is expensive. Using survey instruments is an attractive alternative to full-scale assessment. Despite the availability of many papers covering organizational performance assessment, few instruments specifically address TQM evaluation. Furthermore, none of the TQM assessment instruments has been subjected to rigorous validation; thus, only modest confidence can be placed in results obtained from their use. This article proposes a quick and cost-effective instrument that is a simple questionnaire designed to assist organizations in conducting self-evaluations of their TQM programs. The proposed instrument is based on the seven categories of the MBNQA criteria and was developed in cooperation with the Excellence in Missouri Foundation, which administers the Missouri Quality Award (MQA). This article highlights how questionnaire results can be used to guide further TQM implementation efforts.  相似文献

Corn grits that were supplemented with isovaleraldehyde, ethyl butyrate, butyric acid and flavour enhancers were extruded under different processing conditions. Volatile compounds retained in the extrudates were isolated by dynamic headspace and analysed using gas chromatography–mass spectrometry. The expansion ratio, density and cut force to break down the extrudates were evaluated and aroma intensity was assessed using a multisample difference test. Butyric acid showed the greatest retention (96.4%), regardless of the extrusion conditions. All compounds were better retained when samples were extruded at 20% feed moisture and 90 °C processing temperature (2.9–81.0%), conditions that also resulted in greater aromatic intensity (moderate to moderate‐strong intensity). The addition of volatile compounds reduced the expansion ratio and cut force, whereas the addition of flavour enhancers increased the expansion ratio but reduced ethyl butyrate and butyric acid retention.  相似文献

Hydrogen energy applications often require that systems are used indoors (e.g., industrial trucks for materials handling in a warehouse facility, fuel cells located in a room, or hydrogen stored and distributed from a gas cabinet). It may also be necessary or desirable to locate some hydrogen system components/equipment inside indoor or outdoor enclosures for security or safety reasons, to isolate them from the end-user and the public, or from weather conditions.Using of hydrogen in confined environments requires detailed assessments of hazards and associated risks, including potential risk prevention and mitigation features. The release of hydrogen can potentially lead to the accumulation of hydrogen and the formation of a flammable hydrogen-air mixture, or can result in jet-fires. Within Hyindoor European Project, carried out for the EU Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking safety design guidelines and engineering tools have been developed to prevent and mitigate hazardous consequences of hydrogen release in confined environments. Three main areas are considered: Hydrogen release conditions and accumulation, vented deflagrations, jet fires and including under-ventilated flame regimes (e.g., extinguishment or oscillating flames and steady burns). ABSTRACT: BACKGROUND: The food group intake patterns of low income Hispanic and African American preschool children are not well documented. The aim of this study was to perform a food group intake analysis of low income minority preschool children and evaluate how macronutrient and micronutrient intake compares to Dietary Reference Intakes (DRI). METHODS: A cross sectional study design using three-day food diaries analyzed by dietary analysis software (Nutrient Database System for Research) was used. Children were recruited from well-child clinics at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Hughes Spalding and North Dekalb Grady Satellite Clinic, Atlanta, GA. Low-income, African American and Hispanic preschool age children (n = 291) were enrolled. A total of 105 completed the 3-day food diaries were returned and analyzed. Chi-squared tests were used to assess demographic variables. The mean percentage of intake per day of specific food groups and sub-groups were obtained (servings of given food group/total daily servings). Food intake data and proportion of children meeting DRIs for macro- and micronutrients were stratified by race/ethnicity, nutritional status, and caloric intake, and were compared using t-tests. Regression models controlling for age, BMI and sex were obtained to assess the effect of total caloric intake upon the proportional intake of each studied food group. RESULTS: The mean age of African American children was 2.24 [PLUS-MINUS SIGN] 1.07 years and Hispanic children 2.84 [PLUS-MINUS SIGN] 1.12 years. African Americans consumed more kcal/kg/day than Hispanics (124.7 [PLUS-MINUS SIGN] 51 vs. 96.9 [PLUS-MINUS SIGN] 33, p < 0.05). Hispanics consumed more fruits (22.0 [PLUS-MINUS SIGN] 10.7% vs. 14.7 [PLUS-MINUS SIGN] 13.7%, p < 0.05), while African Americans consumed more grains (25.7 [PLUS-MINUS SIGN] 7.8% vs. 18.1 [PLUS-MINUS SIGN] 6.4%, p < 0.05), meats (20.7 [PLUS-MINUS SIGN] 9.0% vs. 15.4 [PLUS-MINUS SIGN] 6.1%, p < 0.05), fats (9.8 [PLUS-MINUS SIGN] 5.4% vs. 7.0 [PLUS-MINUS SIGN] 5.8%, p < 0.05), sweet drinks (58.7 [PLUS-MINUS SIGN] 17.1% vs. 41.3 [PLUS-MINUS SIGN] 14.8%, p < 0.05) and low-fat dairy products (39.5 [PLUS-MINUS SIGN] 19.3% vs. 28.9 [PLUS-MINUS SIGN] 12.6%, p < 0.05). Among Hispanics, the proportional intake of fruits, fats and grains varied by total caloric intake, while no difference by total caloric intake was found for the dietary patterns of African Americans. Micronutrient intake also differed significantly between African American and Hispanic children. CONCLUSIONS: Food group intake patterns among low-income children differ by ethnic group. There is a need for more research to guide program design and target nutritional interventions for this population.  相似文献
