This study investigated the effects of heat‐moisture treatment (HMT) on the resistant starch content and thermal, morphological, and textural properties of rice starches with high‐, medium‐ and low‐amylose content. The starches were adjusted to 15, 20 and 25% moisture levels and heated at 110°C for 1 h. The HMT increased the resistant starch content in all of the rice starches. HMT increased the onset temperature and the gelatinisation temperature range (Tfinish–Tonset) and decreased the enthalpy of gelatinisation of rice starches with different amylose contents. This reduction increased with the increase in the moisture content of HMT. The morphology of rice starch granules was altered with the HMT; the granules presented more agglomerated surface. The HMT affected the textural parameters of rice starches; the high‐ and low‐amylose rice starches subjected to 15 and 20% HMT possessed higher gel hardness.  相似文献

A distillation process for the production of hyperazeotropic ethanol from a dilute wine obtained from the fermentation of biomass has been studied. This process utilizes the coupling of a soft preconcentration stage and of a dehydration stage based on the salting-out effect produced by calcium chloride on the ethanol in an aqueous solution, with the disappearance of the azeotrope. The salt is employed in a close cycle, due to the presence of a regeneration stage, therefore no consumption of calcium chloride is noticed.

The distillation process utilizes one column consisting of two sections operating at different pressures in order to reach an efficient heat recovery.

In this paper, a simplified flow-sheet of the process and the principal operating conditions of the distillation column are illustrated. When compared with other processes, conventional or under development, this one is characterized by the promising reduction of the specific energy requirement.

The operating conditions chosen for the distillation with salt have been experimentally checked using a laboratory column running continuously with calcium chloride as salting-out agent. Moreover, the experiments confirmed the reliability of the mathematical model of the process. Further experiments are in progress with the aim of utilizing a mixture of salts which can be fed from the bottom of the dehydration section back to the fermentor, so that the salt regeneration stage can be reduced.  相似文献

In this paper we have represented the economic, environmental and territorial transformation of Metaponto district (southern Italy) generated by the land reform since 1950. The coastal area, once inhospitable and unproductive, through land reform has become a point of development for the entire Basilicata Region. The intensive model of economic development applied to agriculture and tourism today represents the main critical points of high environmental impact. In particular, the great human pressure exerted by economic activities has led to an insufficient capacity of water purification systems in the area and such criticism is amplified in the summer mainly for seaside tourism. In this study we have measured the environmental load exerted on the territory and we have estimated the human pressure on the district in the year 2030 and made proposals for amendments to current patterns of development in the agricultural and tourist sectors.  相似文献

The objective of this research was to study the removal of cadmium and lead from an aqueous solution through a biological treatment. For this purpose a glass-ceramic material was manufactured from industrial and urban wastes. Biofilms of microorganisms found in wastewater were developed on its surface, and continuous tests were conducted in the presence and absence of the biofilm to analyze the glass-ceramic's ability to remove the heavy metals from an aqueous environment. The results suggest that this bioremediation process, developed on an industrial scale, could represent an alternative to the chemical processes currently used.  相似文献

Lipogenesis is the process by which fatty acids are synthesized. In metabolic syndrome, an insulin resistant state along with high plasma levels of free fatty acids (FFA) and hyperglycemia may contribute to the lipogenic process. The aim of the present study was to investigate the effects of oral administration of metformin on the expression of lipogenic genes and glycemic profile in mice fed with low‐carbohydrate high‐fat diet by evaluating their metabolic profile. SWISS male mice were divided into 4 groups (N = 7) that were fed with standard (ST), standard plus metformin (ST + MET), low‐carbohydrate high‐fat diet (LCHFD) and low‐carbohydrate high‐fat diet plus metformin (LCHFD + MET) (100 mg kg?1 diet) diets respectively. Food intake, body weight and blood parameters, such as glucose tolerance, insulin sensitivity, glucose, HDL‐c, total cholesterol, triglycerides, ASL and ALT levels were assessed. Histological analyses were performed on hematoxylin and eosin‐stained epididymal adipose tissue histological specimens. The expression levels of peroxisome proliferator‐activated receptor (PPARγ), sterol regulatory element‐binding protein 1 (SREBP1), fatty acid synthase (FAS) and acetyl‐CoA carboxylase (ACC), were assessed by RT‐PCR. This study showed that metformin decreased adipocyte area, body weight and food consumption in obese animals when compared to the standard group. Furthermore, the expression of lipogenic markers in adipose tissue were diminished in obese animals treated with metformin. This data showed that oral administration of metformin improved glucose and lipid metabolic parameters in white adipose tissue by reducing the expression of lipogenesis markers, suggesting an important clinical application of MET in treating obesity‐related diseases in metabolic syndrome.  相似文献

The entity linking task consists in automatically identifying and linking the entities mentioned in a text to their uniform resource identifiers in a given knowledge base. This task is very challenging due to its natural language ambiguity. However, not all the entities mentioned in the document have the same utility in understanding the topics being discussed. Thus, the related problem of identifying the most relevant entities present in the document, also known as salient entities (SE), is attracting increasing interest. In this paper, we propose salient entity linking, a novel supervised 2‐step algorithm comprehensively addressing both entity linking and saliency detection. The first step is aimed at identifying a set of candidate entities that are likely to be mentioned in the document. The second step, besides detecting linked entities, also scores them according to their saliency. Experiments conducted on 2 different data sets show that the proposed algorithm outperforms state‐of‐the‐art competitors and is able to detect SE with high accuracy. Furthermore, we used salient entity linking for extractive text summarization. We found that entity saliency can be incorporated into text summarizers to extract salient sentences from text. The resulting summarizers outperform well‐known summarization systems, proving the importance of using the SE information.  相似文献

The reactivity of a Ni-based oxygen carrier prepared by hot incipient wetness impregnation (HIWI) on α-Al2O3 with a NiO content of 18 wt% was studied in this work. Pulse experiments with the reduction period divided into 4-s pulses were performed in a fluidized bed reactor at 1223 K using CH4 as fuel. The number of pulses was between 2 and 12. Information about the gaseous product distribution and secondary reactions during the reduction was obtained. In addition to the direct reaction of the combustible gas with the oxygen carrier, CH4 steam reforming also had a significant role in the process, forming H2 and CO. This reaction was catalyzed by metallic Ni in the oxygen carrier and H2 and CO acted as intermediate products of the combustion. No evidence of carbon deposition was found in any case. Redox cycles were also carried out in a thermogravimetric analyzer (TGA) with H2 as fuel. Both tests showed that there was a relation between the solid conversion reached during the reduction and the relative amount of NiO and NiAl2O4 in the oxygen carrier. When solid conversion increased, the NiO content also increased, and consequently NiAl2O4 decreased. Approximately 20% of the reduced nickel was oxidized to NiAl2O4, regardless ΔXs. NiAl2O4 was also an active compound for the combustion reaction, but with lower reactivity than NiO. Further, the consequences of these results with respect to the design of a CLC system were investigated. When formation of NiAl2O4 occurred, the average reactivity in the fuel reactor decreased. Therefore, the presence of both NiO and NiAl2O4 phases must be considered for the design of a CLC facility.  相似文献
