The validation of low-frequency measurements and electromagnetic (EM) scattering computations for several simple, generic shapes, such as an equilateral-triangular plate, an equilateral-triangular plate with a concentric equilateral-triangular hole, and diamond- and hexagonal-shaped plates, is discussed. The plates were constructed from a thin aluminium sheet with a thickness of 0.08 cm. EM scattering by the planar plates was measured in the experimental test range (ETR) facility of NASA Langley Research Center. The dimensions of the plates were selected such that, over the frequency range of interest, the dimensions were in the range of λ0 to 3λ0. A local interconnection technology utilizing polysilicon strapped with selective-chemical-vapor-deposited (CVD) tungsten has been developed. Both n- and p-channel MOS transistors have been successfully fabricated using this technology. Tungsten deposited on polysilicon is an attractive gate shunt and local interconnection material because of its low resistivity, immunity to dopant segregation and diffusion, and resistance to electromigration. A potential problem of this technology is the excessive diode leakage current associated with strapping shallow source/drain diodes with tungsten. The leakage is attributed to defects induced by the heavy source/drain implant, which can be effectively eliminated with a proper annealing procedure  相似文献

A theoretical analysis of general multiple parallel coupled transmission lines in an inhomogeneous medium is presented. The analysis is based on the generalized telegraphists' equation. It is relatively simple and has the advantage of giving explicit solutions for the properties of the coupled-line system. Considerations are also given to a coupled-line structure whose lines have the same characteristic impedance. Results for two and three coupled lines are found in agreement with those published previously.  相似文献

Formulate the filter bank design problem as an quadratic-constrained least-squares minimization problem. The solution of the minimization problem converges very quickly since the cost function as well as the constraints are quadratic functions with respect to the unknown parameters. The formulations of the perfect-reconstruction cosine-modulated filter bank, of the near-perfect-reconstruction pseudo-QMF bank, and of the two-channel biorthogonal linear-phase filter bank are derived using the proposed approach. Compared with other design methods, the proposed technique yields PR filter banks with much higher stopband attenuation. The proposed technique can also be extended to design multidimensional filter banks  相似文献

Direct-detection optical code-division multiple-access (CDMA) communication systems with avalanche photodiode (APD) photodetectors are investigated. A Chernoff upper bound, modified Chernoff upper bound, and Gaussian approximation on the probability of bit error are presented for general APDs and arbitrary {0,1}-valued optical signature sequences. Multiple-user interference, shot-noise, and receiver thermal noise effects on the bit error probability are studied in detail. One-coincidence optical orthogonal codes and prime codes are considered in the numerical analysis. Equal-weight orthogonal signaling formats that do not require dynamic estimation of the receiver threshold are proposed. The results suggest that equal-weight orthogonal signaling schemes are preferable to the on-off orthogonal signaling schemes commonly employed in the literature  相似文献

Computer recognition of unconstrained handwritten numerals   总被引:13,自引:0,他引:13  
Four independently, developed expert algorithms for recognizing unconstrained handwritten numerals are presented. All have high recognition rates. Different experimental approaches for incorporating these recognition methods into a more powerful system are also presented. The resulting multiple-expert system proves that the consensus of these methods tends to compensate for individual weaknesses, while preserving individual strengths. It is shown that it is possible to reduce the substitution rate to a desired level while maintaining a fairly high recognition rate in the classification of totally unconstrained handwritten ZIP code numerals. If reliability is of the utmost importance, substitutions can be avoided completely (reliability=100%) while retaining a recognition rate above 90%. Results are compared with those for some of the most effective numeral recognition systems found in the literature  相似文献

A miniature aperture-coupled microstrip antenna of very high permittivity designed at 1.66 GHz is described. Superstrates of appropriate thickness are added on the substrate for gain enhancement. Its size is dramatically reduced and the electrical performance remains almost the same as compared with the conventional microstrip antenna of low dielectric constant. In this paper, a maintenance model for two-unit redundant system with one repairman is studied. At the beginning, unit 1 is operating, unit 2 is the standby unit. The costs include the operating reward, repair cost and replacement cost, besides, a penalty cost is incurred if the system breaks down. Two kinds of replacement policy, based on the number of failures for two units and the working age, respectively are used. The long-run average cost per unit time for each kind of replacement policy is derived. Also, a particular model in which the system is deteriorative, two units are identical and the penalty cost rate is high, is thoroughly studied.  相似文献

Deliberate design of specific and sensitive molecular probes with distinctive physical/chemical properties for analyte sensing is of great significance. Herein, by taking advantage of the position‐dependent substituent effects, an aggregation‐induced emission featured iron (III) probe from ortho‐substituted pyridinyl‐functionalized tetraphenylethylene (TPE‐o‐Py) is synthesized. It displays high sensitivity and selectivity toward iron (III) detection. The recognition arises from the position isomer of ortho‐substitution, and the fact that TPE‐o‐Py has a low acid dissociation constant (pK a) that is close to that of hydrolyzed Fe3+. Importantly, TPE‐o‐Py as a light‐up fluorescence probe could be employed for Fe3+ sensing in living cells with a pronounced red‐shift in fluorescence emission.  相似文献
