Despite many previous investigations, there is no theoretically justifiable equation to determine the freshwater discharge, tidal velocity, and salinity in a complex estuary that contains several branches. In this study, the longitudinal distributions of freshwater and salinity concentration in multi-branched estuaries are investigated using a mathematical model, considering the energy balance by frictional head loss and the salt balance by diffusion and advection in a one-dimensional steady-state condition. We attempt to obtain the time-mean freshwater discharge rate quantitatively at a junction where the main flow separates into two branches. The salinity distribution along each branch is calculated by following the dispersion coefficient equation previously proposed for a single estuary. The salinity field is divided into the near-coast region and the upstream region, because in each segment the inland velocity varies according to the tidal flux. For computing the tidal velocity, we propose the Burgers equation and the Hoph-Cole transformation. The theoretical results obtained by these equations were found to be in good agreement with a set of observed data in the Red River estuary system.  相似文献

Clustering is a crucial method for deciphering data structure and producing new information. Due to its significance in revealing fundamental connections between the human brain and events, it is essential to utilize clustering for cognitive research. Dealing with noisy data caused by inaccurate synthesis from several sources or misleading data production processes is one of the most intriguing clustering difficulties. Noisy data can lead to incorrect object recognition and inference. This research aims to innovate a novel clustering approach, named Picture-Neutrosophic Trusted Safe Semi-Supervised Fuzzy Clustering (PNTS3FCM), to solve the clustering problem with noisy data using neutral and refusal degrees in the definition of Picture Fuzzy Set (PFS) and Neutrosophic Set (NS). Our contribution is to propose a new optimization model with four essential components: clustering, outlier removal, safe semi-supervised fuzzy clustering and partitioning with labeled and unlabeled data. The effectiveness and flexibility of the proposed technique are estimated and compared with the state-of-art methods, standard Picture fuzzy clustering (FC-PFS) and Confidence-weighted safe semi-supervised clustering (CS3FCM) on benchmark UCI datasets. The experimental results show that our method is better at least 10/15 datasets than the compared methods in terms of clustering quality and computational time.  相似文献

Present paper focuses on the selective recovery of copper from the enriched ground printed circuit boards (PCBs) using leaching and solvent extraction. The metal-enriched ground sample obtained from the beneficiation of the sized PCBs in a laboratory scale column type air separator contained mainly 49.3% Cu, 3.83% Fe, 1.51% Ni, 5.45% Sn, 4.71% Pb, and 1.85% Zn. The leaching of the enriched sample with 3.5 mol/L nitric acid dissolved 99% copper along with other metals at 323 K temperature and 120 g/L pulp density in 1 h time. The composition of the leach liquor with wash solution was found to be 42.11 g/L Cu, 2.12 g/L Fe, 4.02 g/L Pb, 1.58 g/L Zn, and 0.4 g/L Ni. The McCabe–Thiele plot indicated the requirements of three counter-current stages for maximum extraction of copper from the leach liquor at pH 1.5 using 30, 40, and 50% (v/v) LIX 984 N at the phase ratios (A/O) of 1:3, 1:2, and 1:1.5, respectively. The counter-current simulation studies show the selective extraction of 99.7% copper from the leach liquor feed of 1.5 pH in three stages with 50% LIX 984 N at A/O phase ratio of 1:1.5. The stripping of copper from the loaded organic with sulfuric acid produced copper sulfate solution from which copper metal/powder could be recovered by electrolysis/ hydrogen reduction.  相似文献

To develop a novel skin depigmenting agent from natural sources, the inhibition of melanogenesis by Chinese plants, N. glandulifrea, was evaluated. The methanol extract of this plant showed significantly down-regulated melanin synthesis in a dose-dependent manner at a non-toxic concentration in cultured B16F10 mouse melanoma cells. This extract was further fractionated by using solvent-solvent partition and silica open column chromatography to identify the active components. From GC-MS data, oleic acid methyl ester was found as one of the depigmenting agents. In conclusion, we suggest that this fraction may be a safe and effective depigmentation agent.  相似文献

Scaling often leads to a series of technical and economical problems in industrial plants and equipments by blocking water flow in pipes or limiting heat transfer in heat exchangers. While most contemporary studies are focusing on crystallization at heat‐exchanger surfaces and scaling on nanofilters in desalination plants, very little work has been done investigating scale formation on pipe and vessel walls. A comprehensive investigation of the effects of various process parameters in controlling the formation of calcium sulfate scale in pipes was undertaken. Supersaturation ratio, run time, and operational hydrodynamics were altered systematically to determine their influence on the scale growth rate. The results confirmed that the deposition of gypsum on pipe walls was significantly affected by these process parameters.  相似文献

This article provides a comprehensive study on quantitative properties of linear mixed fractional‐order systems with multiple time‐varying delays. The delays can be bounded or unbounded. We first obtain a result on existence and uniqueness of solutions to these systems. Then, we prove a necessary and sufficient condition for their positivity. Finally, we provide a necessary and sufficient criterion to characterize asymptotic stability of positive linear mixed fractional‐order systems with multiple time‐varying delays.  相似文献

The performance of multi-hop CSMA/CA networks has in most cases been evaluated via simulations, or analytically using a perfect collision channel model. Using such methods, one can neither have access to the capture nature of the terminals nor evaluate the performance of the network in a fading environment. In this paper a new analytical framework that takes into account these capture and fading effects is presented. The network investigated in this paper has an infinite number of nodes which is assumed to be spatially Poisson distributed. The approach is to develop analytical expressions for the transition probabilities between states of nodes in the network by approximating these states as a Markov chain. A fast algorithm to solve these equations is also given. Numerical results show that the model agrees with simulation results for both omni-directional networks and networks employing beamforming.  相似文献
