The objective of this study was to conduct a systematic review of the literature on the effectiveness of participatory ergonomic (PE) interventions for improving workers' health. The search strategy targeted six electronic databases and identified 442 potential articles. Each article was examined by pairs of reviewers for relevance (assessed a participative ergonomic workplace intervention, with at least one health outcome, published in English in peer reviewed literature). Twenty-three articles met relevance criteria and were then appraised for methodological strength. Using a best evidence synthesis approach, 12 studies that were rated as 'medium' or higher provided partial to moderate evidence that PE interventions have a positive impact on: musculoskeletal symptoms, reducing injuries and workers' compensation claims, and a reduction in lost days from work or sickness absence. However, the magnitude of the effect requires more precise definition.  相似文献

An analysis is given of the designs of thin-film coatings on totally reflecting boundaries that produce half-wave, quarter-wave, and half-quarter-wave phase retardations. Particular single-layer, doublelayer, and symmetrical triple-layer coatings that contain only one non-quarter-wave layer are considered. Simple quadratic equations are presented for the non-quarter-wave-layer phase thickness. Useful diagrams of the solution zones for layer refractive indices are obtained.  相似文献

The experimentally determined chromaticities and reflectance spectra of films consisting of uniform ellipsoidal or spherical colloidal hematite particles are compared with calculated values and are found to be in good agreement. The theoretical treatment of the light-scattering problem involves the Mie theory for the spheres and the T-matrix method for the ellipsoids. The reflectance spectra for the pigment films are calculated through the use of the Kubelka-Munk analysis.  相似文献

We successfully obtained a high-bandwidth (1 GHz km) and low-loss (90 dB/km at 0.572 μm of wavelength) graded-index polymer optical fiber by using the interfacial-gel polymerization technique, in which we used an unreactive component to obtain the quadratic refractive-index distribution. This high-bandwidth graded-index polymer optical fiber makes it possible to transmit a high-speed optical signal in a short-range network, which is not possible when we use the step-index type of polymer optical fiber commercially available.  相似文献

Several theoretical and experimental studies are developed in order to simplify the construction of filters based on Mellin radial harmonics (MRH) for scale-invariant pattern recognition. A real filter based on MRH is designed. The impulse response of the filter is a hermitic function, obtained by a suitable modification of a MRH component. This real filter has the same scale invariance as the conventional complex MRH filters, with the main advantage of its simplicity. A sphere lens with a spherical gradient index (GRIN) was prepared by the modified suspension polymerization technique. GRIN spheres with quadratic- and linear-index distributions were obtained by two different methods to confirm the effect of the GRIN profile on the focusing property of the sphere lens. It was confirmed in both theory and experiment that the spherical aberration of such GRIN spheres was remarkably decreased compared with that of a homogeneous sphere.  相似文献

For lack of alternatives, echelle-grating diffraction behavior has in the past been modeled on scalar theory, despite observations that indicate significant deviations. To resolve this difficulty a detailed experimental, theoretical, and numerical study is performed for several echelles that work at low (18-13), medium (35-55), high (84-140), and very-high (to 660) diffraction orders. Noticeable deviations from the scalar model were detected both experimentally and numerically, on the basis of electromagnetic theory: (1) the shift of the observed blaze position was shown to decrease with the wavelength-to-period ratio, and it tends to zero more rapidly than the decrease of the maximum width, so that the TE- and TM-plane responses tend to merge into each other; (2) cut-off effects (Rayleigh anomalies) were found to play a significant role for high groove angles, where passing-off orders are close to the blaze order. A possibility for evaluation of the blaze angle from angular, rather than from spectral, measure nts is discussed.Several reasons for the differences between real and ideal echelles (material-index deviations, profile deformations, and groove-angle errors) are analyzed, and their effects on the performance of echelles is studied.  相似文献
