This paper investigates the performance of a hydrogen refueling system that consists of a polymer electrolyte membrane electrolyzer integrated with photovoltaic arrays, and an electrochemical compressor to increase the hydrogen pressure. The energetic and exergetic performance of the hydrogen refueling station is analyzed at different working conditions. The exergy cost of hydrogen production is studied in three different case scenarios; that consist of i) off-grid station with the photovoltaic system and a battery bank to supply the required electric power, ii) on-grid station but the required power is supplied by the electric grid only when solar energy is not available and iii) on-grid station without energy storage. The efficiency of the station significantly increases when the electric grid empowers the system. The maximum energy and exergy efficiencies of the photovoltaic system at solar irradiation of 850 W m-2 are 13.57% and 14.51%, respectively. The exergy cost of hydrogen production in the on-grid station with energy storage is almost 30% higher than the off-grid station. Moreover, the exergy cost of hydrogen in the on-grid station without energy storage is almost 4 times higher than the off-grid station and the energy and exergy efficiencies are considerably higher.  相似文献

An improved design for convective heat transfer in a heat pipe partially filled with porous medium is presented. In the present study, porous media is used to increase heat transfer in laminar flow inside the tube with a constant heat flux boundary condition. The porous segments are set in different positions in the tube, while the ratio of porous volume to total volume of tube is considered to be constant. A performance evaluation criteria (PEC), which takes account of both heat transfer and pumping power, is defined to find the enhanced mode of porous media arrangement. According to the current results, PEC increases with the number of porous segments. Moreover, the sequence of unequal segments arrangement within the tube is from the largest to the smallest part for a higher PEC. Effects of parameters including porosity, Darcy number, and ratio of effective coefficient of thermal conductivity to coefficient of thermal conductivity of fluid (TKR) are investigated for sensitivity analysis. Simulations are conducted using the local thermal equilibrium method. In addition, the local thermal nonequilibrium is also used for comparison. For TKR numbers less than 10, these models show the same results with negligible differences except for TKR more than 10.  相似文献

Methanation of carbon monoxide in the H2-rich gas stream was performed on a series of the Ni/MgAl2O4 catalysts in a fixed bed micro-reactor. The catalysts were synthesized using wetness impregnation method and the prepared samples were characterized by XRD, BET, SEM, TEM, H2-TPR, CO chemisorption and CO-TPD techniques. The catalyst carrier was prepared by a novel sol-gel method using nitrate salts precursors and propylene oxide as a gelation agent. MgAl2O4 as catalyst carrier possessed a high BET area of 340 m2 g?1 with high pore volume (0.563 cc g?1) and small pore size (6.56 nm). The catalysts also showed high BET area, which decreased with the increase in Ni content. These catalysts exhibited mesoporous structure with average nickel crystal size smaller than 20 nm. The catalyst with Ni content of 25 wt% exhibited the maximum CO conversion and CH4 selectivity and can be considered as a catalyst with high catalytic potential for the selective methanation of carbon monoxide.  相似文献

We studied the effect of physically and/or chemically deashing rice straw (RS) on the adsorption capacity of their derived activated carbons (ACs) produced by chemical activation with H3PO4. Surface area and pore volumes were determined by nitrogen adsorption at 77 K. Methylene blue adsorption isotherms onto ACs were carried out, and we applied Langmuir and Freundlich models to fit the adsorption data. We showed that preliminary deashing does not bring significant improvement to the resultant ACs’ properties. ACs prepared by H3PO4 activation of raw and deashed RS have intermediate performances between those of ACs prepared by 1- and 2-step KOH activation, but are much cheaper to produce.  相似文献

The IST WINNER (WINNER is part of the European Union research programme within the Sixth Framework Programme (FP6) of the European Information Society Technology (IST) programme. Accepted for the Wireless World Research Forum (WWRF) 2006 Industrial Forum (Kermoal, J.-P. et al. (2006). Spectrum deployment scenarios and advanced functionalities development in WINNER.) project is a major European research activity to develop a flexible and scalable radio access system for 4G, which is addressing the challenging requirements for future systems such as those of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in terms of overall performance, flexibility, scalability and optimized spectrum usage. In this article, the Radio Resource Management (RRM) spectrum functionalities are defined and subsequently analyzed. The proposed RRM spectrum architecture developed will result in reducing the time required to tailor new services to network operators. Furthermore, the flexible spectrum access and usage leads to more capable and faster services with high Quality-of-Service (QoS) giving more user satisfaction than conventional networks. The inherent centralization and decentralization degree for the functionalities is outlined and discussed since flexible spectrum techniques on both fast and slow basis will lead to a better utilization of spectrum.
