Most of the advanced integrated energy systems need a heat recovery steam cycle (HRSC), either fired or unfired, that recovers the waste heat from gas turbines and process units in order to generate electric power and supply mechanical power to compressors, heat to endothermic processes, and steam to external users. The key feature of such HRSCs is the integration between the heat recovery steam generator (HRSG) and the external heat exchangers. This paper presents a rigorous mathematical programming model, a linear approximation, and a two-stage algorithm for optimizing the design of integrated HRSGs and HRSCs, simultaneously considering the HRSG together with the heat recovery steam network and the intensive steam cycle variables. A detailed application of the methodology is described for an integrated gasification combined cycle plant with CO2 capture and results for other interesting plants are reported. A significant efficiency gain is obtained with respect to usual practice designs.  相似文献

Data is becoming increasingly personal. Individuals regularly interact with a variety of structured data, ranging from SQLite databases on the phone to personal sensors and open government data. The “digital traces left by individuals through these interactions” are sometimes referred to as “small data”. Examples of “small data” include driving records, biometric measurements, search histories, weather forecasts and usage alerts. In this paper, we present a flexible protocol called LoRaCTP, which is based on LoRa technology that allows data “chunks” to be transferred over large distances with very low energy expenditure. LoRaCTP provides all the mechanisms necessary to make LoRa transfer reliable by introducing a lightweight connection setup and allowing the ideal sending of an as-long-as necessary data message. We designed this protocol as communication support for small-data edge-based IoT solutions, given its stability, low power usage, and the possibility to cover long distances. We evaluated our protocol using various data content sizes and communication distances to demonstrate its performance and reliability.  相似文献

Trichogin is a natural peptide endowed with antimicrobial and antitumor activity. A member of the peptaibol family, trichogin possesses a C-terminal amino alcohol. In the past, this moiety was substituted for a methyl ester for synthetic purposes and it was observed that this apparently slight modification caused significant changes in the peptide bioactivity. With the aim of understanding the reasons behind such observations, a detailed spectroscopic study on a number of trichogin analogues has been performed. Herein, data obtained from synchrotron radiation circular dichroism, NMR spectroscopy, and fluorescence spectroscopy in organic solvents at cryogenic temperatures are compared with those independently acquired by means of EPR spectroscopy at 80 K. It is unambiguously revealed that the presence of a reversible, temperature-driven, screw-sense interconversion from a right- to left-handed helix is determined by the C-terminal capping moiety. Data demonstrate, for the first time, the key role of a C-terminal methyl ester in promoting peptide screw-sense inversion.  相似文献

A power unit constituted by a reformer section, a H2 purification section and a fuel cell stack is being tested c/o the Dept. of Physical Chemistry and Electrochemistry of Università degli Studi di Milano, on the basis of a collaboration with HELBIO S.A. Hydrogen and Energy Production Systems, Patras (Greece), supplier of the unit, and some sponsors (Linea Energia S.p.A., Parco Tecnologico Padano and Provincia di Lodi, Italy). The system size allows to co-generate 5 kWe (220 V, 50 Hz a.c.) + 5 kWt (hot water at 65 °C) as peak output. Bioethanol, obtainable by different non-food-competitive biomass, is transformed into syngas by a pre-reforming and reforming reactors couple and the reformate is purified from CO to a concentration below 20 ppmv, suitable to feed a proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) stack that will be integrated in the fuel processor in a second step of the experimentation. This result is achieved by feeding the reformate to two water gas shift reactors, connected in series and operating at high and low temperature, respectively. CO concentration in the outcoming gas is ca. 0.4 vol% and the final CO removal to meet the specifications is accomplished by two methanation reactors in series. The second methanation step acts merely as a guard, since ca. 15 ppmv of CO are obtained already after the first reactor.  相似文献

In this paper we propose a new method to detect the global scale of images with regular, near regular, or homogenous textures. We define texture “scale” as the size of the basic elements (texels or textons) that most frequently occur into the image. We study the distribution of the interest points into the image, at different scale, by using our Keypoint Density Maps (KDMs) tool. A “mode” vector is built computing the most frequent values (modes) of the KDMs, at different scales. We observed that the mode vector is quasi linear with the scale. The mode vector is properly subsampled, depending on the scale of observation, and compared with a linear model. Texture scale is estimated as the one which minimizes an error function between the related subsampled vector and the linear model. Results, compared with a state of the art method, are very encouraging.  相似文献

The anticorrosive properties of a silane–zeolite composite coating applied on a 6061 aluminum substrate was investigated. The composite film, deposited by dip-coating technique, was prepared with different contents of SAPO34 powder (60–90 wt%) with the purpose of evaluating the protective action offered by the zeolite-filled silane matrix. Corrosion protection performance, during immersion in 3.5% NaCl solution, was evaluated by means of a potentiodynamic polarization test and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). The coating evidenced good barrier properties and high hydrophobicity. The addition of zeolite in the silane matrix induced, as expected, a reduction of cathodic and anodic current. The zeolite improved the barrier properties of the hybrid sol–gel films, enhancing the resistance to localized corrosion attacks. Better results were observed for the sample with 80 wt% of zeolite filler that evidenced still acceptable protective action after 3 days of immersion in the sodium chloride solution.  相似文献
