Introduction and purpose of the study: SARS-CoV-2 virus does not only affect the respiratory system. It may cause damage to many organ systems with long-term effects. The latest scientific reports inform that this virus leaves a long-term trace in the nervous, circulatory, respiratory, urinary and reproductive systems. It manifests itself in disturbances in the functioning of the organs of these systems, causing serious health problems. The aim of the study was to review the latest research into the long-term effects of COVID-19 and determine how common these symptoms are and who is most at risk. Based on a literature review using the electronic scientific databases of PubMed and Web of Science on the long-term effects of SARS-CoV-2 infection, 88 studies were included in the analysis. The information contained in the analyzed literature shows that the SARS-CoV-2 virus can cause multi-organ damage, causing a number of long-term negative health complications. Conclusions: There is evidence that the virus can cause long-term complications lasting more than six months. They mainly concern disturbances in the functioning of the nervous, circulatory and respiratory systems. However, these studies are small or short-lasting, and many are speculative.  相似文献

Effects of jasplakinolide (JSP), a stabilizer of F-actin, and latrunculin A (LTA), a destabilizer of F-actin, on a series of events occurring in the execution phase of staurosporine (STS)-induced apoptotic processes were studied using human osteosarcoma 143B cells. Time-dependent apparent increases of the population of cells with collapsed membrane potential of mitochondria (Delta Psi(m)) caused by STS treatment were not due to actual decreases in the Delta Psi(m) per cell, but due to the fragmentation of cells resulting in decreases in the number of active mitochondria per cell. Decreases in the Delta Psi(m) in fragmented cells occurred late in the execution phase. Both JSP and LAT failed to prevent STS-induced release of cytochrome c from mitochondria followed by the activation of caspases 3 and 9, the cleavage of poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP) and apoptotic nuclear fragmentation. However, both drugs prevented STS-induced apoptotic cell fragmentation and decreases in the Delta Psi(m). These results indicate that physicochemical states of actin filaments play a certain role in the execution phase of STS-induced apoptotic processes.  相似文献

Surface-enhanced Raman scattering spectra (SERS) were measured for various amino acids: L-methionine (Met), L-cysteine (Cys), Lglycine (Gly), L-leucine (Leu), L-phenylalanine (Phe), and L-proline (Pro) and their homodipeptides (Met-Met, Cys-Cys, Gly-Gly, LeuLeu, Phe-Phe, and Pro-Pro) in silver colloidal solutions. The geometry and orientation of the amino acids or dipeptides on the silver surface, and their specific interaction with the surface, were deducted by detailed spectral analysis of the SERS spectra. This analysis has allowed us to propose the particular surface geometry of amino acids or dipeptides and also implied that C-C bonds were almost parallel to the surface, as evidenced by the absence of marker bands in the skeletal C-C stretching region of the spectra. Additionally, using "time-dependent" SERS measurements we solved an existing controversy regarding the binding specificity of Gly-Gly on the silver surface.  相似文献

Results of kinetic studies of two‐component photoinitiator systems used in the visible‐light photoinduced polymerization of 2‐ethyl‐2‐(hydroxymethyl)‐1,3‐propanediol triacrylate are presented. Nine different styrylquinolinum dyes coupled with n‐butyltriphenylborate as a coinitiator have been used as photoinitiating systems. Reactive radicals that initiate the polymerization are formed by the well‐known mechanism of photoinduced electron transfer between dye cations acting as electron acceptors and borate anions acting as electron donors. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The consumers should have access to food that is safe and free of contaminants. Unfortunately, the wide use of antibiotics in livestock, not only for medicinal purposes but also as illegal feed additives, may be the reason for emergence of the antibiotic residues in foodstuffs of animal origin. Milk is one of the most essential nutrients for humans during their lifetimes. Failure of the withdrawal periods, or what is highly prohibited but in spite of this increasingly practiced, addition of the antibiotics to milk in order to prolong its freshness, may lead to occurrence of their residues. Cefacetrile is a first generation cephalosporin that is commonly use for the treatment of bovine mastitis. The aim of this work was to determine the stability of cefacetrile in milk samples of different fat content, that is, 0 , 2 , 3.2 % UHT, 2 % pasteurized and ~3.9 % raw cattle milk, for 5 days. Two chromatographic methods were applied and compared for this purpose, that is, thin-layer chromatography and high-performance liquid chromatography. According to the results coming from HPLC-UV analysis, the stability of cefacetrile increase with the increase in the fat mass content in UHT milk. The cefacetrile level in pasteurized and raw cattle milk is similar to that in 3.2 % UHT milk. For the TLC method, this relation can be observed only in the second day of the analysis. The spiked milk samples analyzed by HPLC were deproteinized with MeCN and stored for 5 days of the experiment. Whereas, in the TLC-UV method, the spiked milk samples prepared in the first day of experiment were analyzed directly, without deproteinization. The lower stability of cefacetrile in milk samples observed from the TLC analysis can be related to its partial enzymatic decomposition.  相似文献

In this paper, a comparison between two methods: the Adomian decomposition method and the variational iteration method, used for solving the moving boundary problem, is presented. Both of the methods consist in constructing the appropriate iterative or recurrence formulas, on the basis of the equation considered and additional conditions, enabling one to determine the successive elements of a series or sequence approximating the function sought. The precision and speed of convergence of the procedures compared are verified with an example.  相似文献

A series of cationic gemini surfactants containing different spacer length were synthesized and analyzed structurally. It was shown that the surface tension (σ) and critical micelle concentration (CMC), which had a maximum for the n-C4H8 spacer depended on the spacer length. The foaming ability and foam stability are high for the gemini surfactants with short spacers (C2H4 to n-C4H8), while longer spacers lead to a distinct decrease of these foam parameters. Foaming properties are discussed in terms of configuration and conformation of a surfactant molecule and in relation to micellization state kinetic.  相似文献

Detailed mechanisms of the switch of the cell death mode from apoptosis to necrosis remain to be solved, although the intracellular level of ATP and that of free radicals have been postulated to be the major factors involved in the mechanisms. In the present study menadione (MEN)-induced cell injury processes were studied using rho0 cells derived from human osteosarcoma 143B cells and parental rho+ cells co-treated with inhibitors of electron transfer chain of mitochondria or oligomycin, an inhibitor of ATP synthesis. Treatment of rho+ cells with 100 microM MEN induced apoptosis, which reached the maximum at 6 h, and was followed by an abrupt decrease thereafter, while necrotic cells (NC) increased continuously when they were judged by Annexin V and PI double staining. On the other hand, MEN induced apoptotic and necrotic changes much faster in rho0 cells compared to rho+ cells. The frequency to find apoptotic cells (AP) in the former cells was distinctly smaller than that to find NC judged by Annexin V and PI double staining. Electron microscopically, a major population of rho0 cells treated with MEN for 6 h consisted of intermediate cells, and a small number of AP co-existed. At 9 h of the treatment intermediate cells were exclusively seen, and AP were hardly detected. When parental rho+ cells were treated with MEN in the presence of oligomycin or oligomycin plus antimycin A both apoptotic and necrotic changes of the cells were distinctly accelerated. The intracellular level of superoxide in rho0 cells continuously increased after the MEN treatment, whereas that of ATP remained distinctly low before and after the MEN treatment compared to that in rho+ cells. These data suggest that the intracellular level of superoxide may be a key factor controlling the switch from apoptosis to necrosis.  相似文献

Orientation of amino acids and their homodipeptides, as well as specific-competitive interactions of their functional groups with the gold surface, were predicted by detailed spectral analysis of the obtained SERS spectra. The analysis performed allowed us to propose a particular surface geometry for each amino acid and homodipeptide on the gold surface. In addition, we compared the structures of these molecules adsorbed on colloidal gold and silver surfaces.  相似文献
