Eight vacuum gas oils (VGOs) having different hydrocarbon composition and different distillation characteristics were cracked in a laboratory fluid catalytic cracking (FCC) advanced cracking equipment (ACE) unit. The experimental results showed that FCC VGO feedstock reactivity correlates with the content of saturates plus light aromatics, and with the content of nitrogen. The FCC gasoline olefin content was found to depend on T50% and saturate content of the FCC VGO feedstock. The results from a commercial FCC unit that processes a hydrotreated straight-run VGO and a VGO from ebullated bed residue H-Oil hydrocracker confirmed the results from the laboratory FCC ACE unit showing that reducing T50% and increasing saturate content of the FCC feedstock leads to a reduction of the FCC gasoline content.  相似文献

ABSTRACT: Relationship between the rate of electrochemical formation of mesoporous Si and the crystallographic directions has been studied by local anodization of wafers through a mask having the form of narrow long wedges radiating from the center in all directions ("wagon-wheel" mask). The etching rates were found from the side-etching under the thin transparent n-Si mask. On p+-substrates of various orientation diagrams characterizing the distribution of pore-formation rates over different directions in the wafer plane were constructed for the first time. The wagon-wheel method was applied to study the current dependence of the anisotropy. It was found that the orientation-related difference between the pore-formation rates is 5-25%, depending on the crystallographic direction and the etching current density. At a current density of ~ 9 mA/cm2 , the etching rates are related as V100 : V113 : V110 : V112 : V111 = 1.000 : 0.900 : 0.836 : 0.824 : 0.750. A general tendency is observed toward weakening of the anisotropy with increasing current. The highest rate always corresponds to the <100> direction, and the rate ratio between the other directions varies with increasing current, which leads to a change of their sequence.  相似文献

A pyrometric analysis of the temperature of continuous annealed strip material is an essential component of industrial production. However, despite calibration, the development of composition-dependent oxides during annealing prevents an accurate pyrometric measurement of actual strip temperature. An Al-based and a Si-based transformation induced plasticity (TRIP)-assisted steel were pyrometrically analyzed during annealing under a reducing atmosphere (5 pct H2 and 95 pct Ar). Oxide development on both steels led to a deviation between pyrometer readings and simultaneous thermocouple measurements. The developing oxides influenced the pyrometer readings to different extents because of unique emissivities and different growth kinetics.  相似文献

The mucus layer in the intestine plays a critical role in regulation of host–microbe interactions and maintaining homeostasis. Disruptions of the mucus layer due to genetic, environmental, or immune factors may lead to inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD). IBD frequently are accompanied with infections, and therefore are treated with antibiotics. Hence, it is important to evaluate risks of antibiotic treatment in individuals with vulnerable gut barrier and chronic inflammation. Mice with a knockout of the Muc2 gene, encoding the main glycoprotein component of the mucus, demonstrate a close contact of the microbes with the gut epithelium which leads to chronic inflammation resembling IBD. Here we demonstrate that the Muc2−/− mice harboring a gut protozoan infection Tritrichomonas sp. are susceptible to an antibiotic-induced depletion of the bacterial microbiota. Suppression of the protozoan infection with efficient metronidazole dosage or L-fucose administration resulted in amelioration of an illness observed in antibiotic-treated Muc2−/− mice. Fucose is a monosaccharide presented abundantly in gut glycoproteins, including Mucin2, and is known to be involved in host–microbe interactions, in particular in microbe adhesion. We suppose that further investigation of the role of fucose in protozoan adhesion to host cells may be of great value.  相似文献

The search for methods of cognitive impairment treatment and prevention in neurological and neurodegenerative diseases is an urgent task of modern neurobiology. It is now known that various diseases, accompanied by dementia, exhibit a pronounced neuroinflammation. Considering the significant docosahexaenoic and eicosapentaenoic polyunsaturated fatty acids’ therapeutic potential, we decided to investigate and compare anti-inflammatory activity of their N-acylethanolamine derivatives. As a result, we found that both N-docosahexaenoylethanolamine (synaptamide) and N-eicosapentaenoylethanolamine (EPEA) prevents an LPS-mediated increase in the proinflammatory cytokines TNF-α and IL-6 production in the SIM-A9 microglia culture. In an in vivo experiment, synaptamide reversed an increase in LPS-mediated hippocampal TNF-α and IL-1β, but EPEA did not. However, both compounds contributed to the microglia polarization towards the M2-phenotype. Synaptamide, rather than EPEA, inhibited the Iba-1-positive microglia staining area increase. However, both synaptamide and EPEA prevented the LPS-mediated astrogliosis. A study of BDNF immunoreactivity showed that synaptamide, but not EPEA, reversed an LPS-mediated decrease in BDNF production. Despite the more pronounced anti-inflammatory activity of synaptamide, both compounds were effective in maintaining a normal level of hippocampal long-term potentiation in neuroinflammation. The results indicate a high therapeutic potential for both compounds. However, some tests have shown higher activity of synaptamide compared to EPEA.  相似文献

We study the impact of radiation LET on manifestation of HRS/IRR response in Chinese hamster cells ovary cells exposed to radiations used in radiotherapy. Earlier we have investigated this response to carbon ions (455 MeV/amu) in the pristine Bragg curve plateau and behind the Bragg peak, 60Co γ-rays, and 14.5 MeV neutrons. Now we present results of cytogenetic metaphase analysis in plateau-phase CHO-K1 cells irradiated with scanning beam protons (83 MeV) at doses < 1 Gy and additional data for 14.5 MeV neutrons. Dose curves for frequency of total chromosome aberrations (CA, protons), paired fragments (protons, neutrons), aberrant cells (neutrons) had typical HRS/IRR structure: HRS region (up to 0.1 and 0.15 Gy), IRR region (0.1–0.6 Gy and 0.15–0.35 Gy) for protons and neutrons, respectively, and regular dose dependence. Taken together with previous results, the data show that LET increase shifts the HRS upper border (from 0.08–0.1 Gy for γ-rays, protons and plateau carbons to 0.12–0.15 Gy for “tail” carbons and neutrons). The IRR regions shortens (0.52–0.4 γ-rays and protons, 0.25 plateau carbons, 0.2 Gy “tail” carbons and neutrons). CA level of IRR increases by 1.5–2.5 times for carbons as compared to γ-rays and protons. Outside HRS/IRR the yield of CA also enhanced with LET increase. The results obtained for different LET radiations suggest that CHO-K1 cells with G1-like CA manifested the general feature of the HRS/IRR phenomena.  相似文献

The relative abundance of two main Abeta-peptide types with different lengths, Aβ40 and Aβ42, determines the severity of the Alzheimer’s disease progression. However, the factors responsible for different behavior patterns of these peptides in the amyloidogenesis process remain unknown. In this comprehensive study, new evidence on Aβ40 and Aβ42 amyloid polymorphism was obtained using a wide range of experimental approaches, including custom-designed approaches. We have for the first time determined the number of modes of thioflavin T (ThT) binding to Aβ40 and Aβ42 fibrils and their binding parameters using a specially developed approach based on the use of equilibrium microdialysis, which makes it possible to distinguish between the concentration of the injected dye and the concentration of dye bound to fibrils. The binding sites of one of these modes located at the junction of adjacent fibrillar filaments were predicted by molecular modeling techniques. We assumed that the sites of the additional mode of ThT-Aβ42 amyloid binding observed experimentally (which are not found in the case of Aβ40 fibrils) are localized in amyloid clots, and the number of these sites could be used for estimation of the level of fiber clustering. We have shown the high tendency of Aβ42 fibers to form large clots compared to Aβ40 fibrils. It is probable that this largely determines the high resistance of Aβ42 amyloids to destabilizing effects (denaturants, ionic detergents, ultrasonication) and their explicit cytotoxic effect, which we have shown. Remarkably, cross-seeding of Aβ40 fibrillogenesis using the preformed Aβ42 fibrils changes the morphology and increases the stability and cytotoxicity of Aβ40 fibrils. The differences in the tendency to cluster and resistance to external factors of Aβ40 and Aβ42 fibrils revealed here may be related to the distinct role they play in the deposition of amyloids and, therefore, differences in pathogenicity in Alzheimer’s disease.  相似文献
