In this paper, a new noncontact ultrasonic magnetic abrasive finishing mechanism is presented. An ultrasonic vibration producer is used to vibrate the permanent magnets. The ferromagnetic steel grits in the created magnetic field form a flexible finishing tool. To take advantage of cavitation collapse pressure, the finishing zone components are immersed in water. The present work also studies the effect of parameters, i.e., time duration for finishing and working gap between magnetic poles and the workpiece on the surface roughness (Ra). The microscopic pictures and the roughness profile diagrams demonstrate the advantages of the proposed method.  相似文献

Dynamic stability of machine tools during operations is dependent on many parameters including the spindle speed. In high and ultra high speed machining, the gyroscopic effect on the spindle dynamics becomes more pronounced and can affect the borders of stability of the rotating system. In this paper, a finite element based model of spindle, tool holder and cutting tool is presented which uses Timoshenko beam theory to obtain the frequency response of the system when gyroscopic terms are included. Using this response, the stability of a high speed spindle system in the presence of gyroscopic effect is investigated. It is shown that the gyroscopic effects lower the critical depth of cut in high speed milling.  相似文献

The advent of cloud computing has transformed the role of the Internet in many businesses and organizations. Currently, banks are increasingly adopting cloud technologies to fulfil their varied purposes and to create a flexible and agile banking environment that can quickly respond to new business needs. However, past studies tend to focus more on the adoption issues of cloud computing from the organizational perspective with little attention paid on the users’ view of these cloud-based services. Therefore, this paper attempts to investigate the factors influencing cloud computing adoption in the banking sector from the customers’ perspective and to propose an adoption model for this purpose. The model is mainly developed based on the TAM-diffusion theory model (TAM-DTM) with the introduction of three new constructs namely trust, cost, and security and privacy. Questionnaires were randomly distributed to 162 bank customers in Malaysia. Survey data were analyzed using the partial least squares (PLS) method while SmartPLS was used to test the hypotheses and to validate the proposed model. The results suggest that trust, cost, and security and privacy can be successfully integrated within the TAM-TDM. The security and privacy constructs exhibited strong positive influence on perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, and trust. The study concludes that perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, cost, attitudes toward cloud and trust significantly influence users’ behavioral intention to adopt cloud computing. Thus, the finding of this study will enable banks to focus more on customer perspectives on cloud-based applications and identify their attitude towards their adoption.  相似文献

Abstract:   This article discusses the requirements for developing a mobile model-based bridge lifecycle management system (MMBLMS). This new system should link all the information about the lifecycle stages of a bridge (e.g., design, construction, inspection, and maintenance) to a 4D model of the bridge incorporating different scales of space and time to record events throughout the lifecycle with suitable levels of details (LoDs). In addition, MMBLMS should support distributed databases and mobile location-based computing by providing user interfaces that can be used on mobile computers, such as tablet PCs. A framework for MMBLMS is described and the basic computational issues for realizing it are discussed including the navigation modes, the picking behavior and the LoDs for representing bridge elements and defects. A prototype system developed in Java language is used to demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed methodology for realizing this system.  相似文献

Zinc sulfide (ZnS) nanoparticles (NPs) with an average particle size of 2 nm were successfully synthesized under ultrasonic irradiation without any surfactant and high temperature treatment. Prepared NPs were characterized by powder X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, high resolution transmission electron microscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, dynamic light scattering analysis, and UV–vis absorption spectroscopy. The energy band gap of ZnS NPs was measured by UV–vis absorption spectroscopy. The photocatalytic activity of semiconducting sulfide quantum dots for degradation of an azo dye called reactive black 5 (RB5) was investigated. Results showed that the dye can be photocatalytically degraded with high rate by ZnS NPs under UV light irradiation. The kinetics of removal of RB5 in aqueous solutions was studied in a series of experiments which were varied in the amount of ZnS NPs, contact time, pH, dye concentration, and temperature. The experimental data were fitted very well in the pseudo-second order kinetic model. 95% of dye was successfully removed in 10 min using 0.2 g ZnS NPs in a neutral pH. A possible molecular mechanism for photocatalytic degradation of dye by ZnS NPs was also given.  相似文献

Electromechanical properties and high power characteristics of Pb‐free hard piezoelectric ceramics in the (BiNa0.88K0.08Li0.04)0.5 (Ti1?xMnx)O3 (= 0, 0.014, 0.015, and 0.016) system were studied. Mn doping resulted in a considerable enhancement of mechanical quality factor Qm and vibration velocity. The lowest mechanical and dielectric losses were achieved in 1.5 mol% Mn‐doped ceramics with a planar Qm of about 970 and tanδ of 0.89%. The heat dissipation and resonance frequency shift under high drive condition were remarkably suppressed upon Mn doping. The maximum vibration velocity was increased from 0.28 m/s in undoped ceramic to 0.6 m/s in 1.5 mol% Mn‐doped composition. The results of this study revealed that Mn‐doped BNT‐based piezoelectrics exhibited a superior high power performance compared to their lead‐based counterparts such as PZT4 and PZT8 ceramics.  相似文献
