The main objective of this study was to improve the enzymatic effect by mechanical treatment on cotton fabric in combined desizing and bio-polishing. The purpose is to create a commercially and environmentally friendly process for water and energy saving. The effect of mechanical treatment and different enzyme concentration was studied. Both mechanical and enzymatic treatment effect were evaluated through measuring weight loss and light measurement of fabric surface. Fabric surface evaluation also was done via photo micrographing. Fabric hairiness was illustrated on captured photos of treated and untreated fabric. Finally, optimized data of treatment were obtained.  相似文献

Eggs are a good source of high quality protein and knowing their quality (physical and chemical properties) during storage is of great importance. Thus, the aim of this research was to design a computer vision system to assess egg freshness during storage time. To this end, 210 intact eggs were collected and stored for 30 days under room conditions (25?±?2 °C and 20?±?3%). After imaging, every other day, some internal and external quality characteristics including yolk height, yolk and albumen pH, yolk and albumen density and Haugh unit (HU) were measured as destructive parameters and area index (D) egg weight as non-destructive parameters. Based on Pearson correlation coefficients, area index were significantly correlated with all destructive variables (p?<?0.05). In order to predict egg freshness, artificial neural network was trained by Levenberg–Marquardt, scaled conjugate gradient, Bayesian regulation, resilient and radial basis algorithms. The best result of artificial neural network for HU and albumen pH prediction was achieved by the Levenberg–Marquardt algorithm with the correlation coefficient of 0.93 and 0.87, respectively.  相似文献

Nowadays, many consumers prefer foods with a high content of nutraceuticals that contribute to the prevention or healing of chronic diseases. Therefore, in recent years, more and more researchers have studied the bioefficiency, safety, and toxicity of nutraceutical‐enriched foods. The key stage of nutraceutical bioefficiency is oral bioavailability, which involves the following processes: the release of nutraceuticals from food matrices or nanocarriers in gastrointestinal fluids, the solubilization of nutraceuticals and their interaction with other components of gastrointestinal fluids, the absorption of nutraceuticals by the epithelial layer, and the chemical and biochemical transformations into epithelial cells. These processes are endogenous factors that greatly influence the bioavailability of nutraceuticals. In addition to endogenous factors, the bioavailability of nutraceuticals is also affected by exogenous factors, such as: physicochemical properties of nutraceuticals, food matrix, food processing and storage, and so forth. Both the endogenous and exogenous factors are comprehensively analyzed in this review. Thus, the physicochemical and enzymatic processes involved in food digestion are described, highlighting the role of each stage of gastrointestinal tract (mouth, stomach, and intestine) in nutraceuticals bioaccessibility. The structure and functions of the mucus and epithelial layers, the mechanisms involved in the active and passive transport of nutraceuticals through the cell membrane, and phase I and phase II metabolism reactions are also discussed. Finally, this review focuses on several types of bioactive‐loaded nanocarriers such as lipid‐based, surfactant‐based, and biopolymeric nanocarriers that improve the bioavailability of nutraceuticals.  相似文献

The stability of frying oils and fried foods is mainly affected by the fatty acids present and by the types and levels of minor components such as phytosterols and tocopherols. This study assessed the current status of lipid composition and the occurrence of oxidised phytosterols as a parameter of lipid oxidation in potato crisps available in the Swedish market. Fatty acid composition and concentrations of tocopherols, sterols and phytosterol oxidation products (POPs) were determined in 16 commercial potato crisp samples of two types, distinguished by a high or low fat content. The fatty acid composition in most samples was dominated by saturated and monounsaturated fatty acids. The sum of α-tocopherol and γ-tocopherol content varied from undetectable levels to 10.2 mg/100 g potato crisps, with α-tocopherol dominating. Among the tocotrienols, α-tocotrienol and γ-tocotrienol were present in almost equal proportions, while δ-tocotrienol was present in all samples but in smaller amounts. Fatty acid composition, tocopherol and tocotrienol content, showed that all potato crisp samples were prepared in palm oil or a blend of palm oil and unspecified fats and oils. Total sterol content ranged from 10.2 to 93.1 mg/100 g sample, with β-sitosterol being the major sterol in all samples. The content of POPs ranged from 0.05 to 0.68 mg/100 g potato crisps. In general, there were no significant differences in content of POPs between high and low fat samples, and generally no correlations could be established between content of POPs and fatty acid, tocopherol, tocotrienol, and sterol content among the potato crisp samples.  相似文献

A straightforward and convenient synthesis of symmetrical thiourea derivatives by the reaction of primary amines and carbon disulfide in biocompatible basic choline hydroxide is presented. A variety of biologically important thiourea derivatives can be obtained in good to excellent yields without a tedious work-up under mild reaction conditions. A series of primary aliphatic and aromatic amines with different substituted functional groups have been converted to thiourea derivatives under milder reaction conditions and short reaction times.  相似文献

Mica-based glasses in the SiO2-Al2O3-MgO-K2O-F system were prepared by a sintering method to investigate the effects of different amounts of hematite (Fe2O3) on thermal and sintering behaviors besides machinability of the glasses by means of differential thermal analysis (DTA), X-ray diffraction, and scanning electron microscope techniques. DTA analysis on fine and coarse glass powders indicated that the main crystallization mechanism in this system occurred in the bulk rather than the surface. Increasing Fe2O3 content to 5 wt.% improved machinability of the glass ceramic. Fe2O3 led to the disruption of the glass matrix and facilitated the nucleation of the crystalline phase. Precipitation of sellite (MgF2) crystals as heterogeneous nucleating sites for potassium phlogopite crystals acted as a second contribution to the machinability of the 5 wt.% Fe2O3-containing sample. However, introducing more than 5 wt.% Fe2O3 to the base glass prohibited the nucleation of MgF2, and as a result, large micas formed within the glass. This together with precipitation of cordierite aggregates in highly doped glass with Fe2O3 led to lower machinability in these samples.  相似文献

Molecular imaging of pathologic lesions can improve efficient detection of cancer and cardiovascular diseases. A shared pathophysiological feature is angiogenesis, the formation of new blood vessels. Endoglin (CD105) is a coreceptor for ligands of the Transforming Growth Factor-β (TGF-β) family and is highly expressed on angiogenic endothelial cells. Therefore, endoglin-based imaging has been explored to visualize lesions of the aforementioned diseases. This systematic review highlights the progress in endoglin-based imaging of cancer, atherosclerosis, myocardial infarction, and aortic aneurysm, focusing on positron emission tomography (PET), single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), near-infrared fluorescence (NIRF) imaging, and ultrasound imaging. PubMed was searched combining the following subjects and their respective synonyms or relevant subterms: “Endoglin”, “Imaging/Image-guided surgery”. In total, 59 papers were found eligible to be included: 58 reporting about preclinical animal or in vitro models and one ex vivo study in human organs. In addition to exact data extraction of imaging modality type, tumor or cardiovascular disease model, and tracer (class), outcomes were described via a narrative synthesis. Collectively, the data identify endoglin as a suitable target for intraoperative and diagnostic imaging of the neovasculature in tumors, whereas for cardiovascular diseases, the evidence remains scarce but promising.  相似文献

Developing appropriate stable electroactive electrode materials for supercapacitor application is the challenging issue, which attracts enormous attention in recent decades. In this regard, Fe3O4 nanoparticles are firstly synthesized on chitosan/graphene oxide-multiwall carbon nanotubes (CS/GM/Fe3O4). Then, polyaniline (PANI) is grafted on it via in situ chemical polymerization and named as CS/GM/Fe3O4/PANI. The as-prepared nanocomposites are characterized by Field emission scanning electron microscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy. The capacitive properties of the electrodes are investigated in a three electrode configuration in 0.5 M Na2SO4 electrolyte by various electrochemical techniques. The specific capacitance of CS/GM/Fe3O4/PANI electrode is 1513.4 Fg−1 at 4 Ag−1 which is 1.9 times higher than that of CS/GM/Fe3O4 (800 Fg−1). Meanwhile, the electrodes exhibit appropriate cycle life along with 99.8% and 93.95% specific capacitance at 100 Ag−1 for chitosan/GO-CNT/Fe3O4 and polyaniline grafted chitosan/GO-CNT/Fe3O4, respectively.  相似文献

Over the past two decades, mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) have demonstrated great potential in the treatment of inflammation-related conditions. Numerous early stage clinical trials have suggested that this treatment strategy has potential to lead to significant improvements in clinical outcomes. While promising, there remain substantial regulatory hurdles, safety concerns, and logistical issues that need to be addressed before cell-based treatments can have widespread clinical impact. These drawbacks, along with research aimed at elucidating the mechanisms by which MSCs exert their therapeutic effects, have inspired the development of extracellular vesicles (EVs) as anti-inflammatory therapeutic agents. The use of MSC-derived EVs for treating inflammation-related conditions has shown therapeutic potential in both in vitro and small animal studies. This review will explore the current research landscape pertaining to the use of MSC-derived EVs as anti-inflammatory and pro-regenerative agents in a range of inflammation-related conditions: osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, Alzheimer’s disease, cardiovascular disease, and preeclampsia. Along with this, the mechanisms by which MSC-derived EVs exert their beneficial effects on the damaged or degenerative tissues will be reviewed, giving insight into their therapeutic potential. Challenges and future perspectives on the use of MSC-derived EVs for the treatment of inflammation-related conditions will be discussed.  相似文献

Chitosan solution containing glycerolphosphate disodium salt (Gp) is an injectable thermosensitive in situ gel-forming system which undergoes sol–gel transition under certain physiological pH and temperature conditions. When a drug-incorporated chitosan/Gp solution is injected into the body, it forms a three-dimensional gel at 37 °C, which allows the drug to be released in a sustained manner. This hydrogel can be used as a drug delivery system for prolonged release of peptides and glycopeptides. The objective of this work was to investigate the effect of different excipients on the sol–gel behavior of this thermosensitive hydrogel. Chitosan polymeric solutions (2 % w/v) containing Gp and different excipients, such as hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose (HPMC), polyethylene glycol (PEG) with two different molecular weights (PEG200 and PEG1000), and poloxamer (F127) in various concentrations, were prepared, and the pH, sol–gel transition time, and syringeability of the final solutions were evaluated. The obtained results point to HPMC as the best additive for chitosan/Gp solutions in developing an in situ gel-forming drug delivery system with optimum gelling time. A significant decrease was noted in the sol-to-gel transition time (from 90 to 60 s) when HPMC was added to the system. This may have been due to the HPMC structure which acted as a viscosity-enhancing and gel-promoting agent. The in vitro release of vancomycin hydrochloride from chitosan/Gp/HPMC hydrogel was also studied. Vancomycin release studies showed a sustained release profile for over 20 days. It can be concluded that combining chitosan/Gp and HPMC is a promising strategy for preparing a thermally reversible in situ gel-forming delivery system with an optimized gelation time.  相似文献
