South America has a large proportion of wetlands compared with other continents. While most of these wetlands were conserved in a relatively good condition until a few decades ago, pressures brought about by land use and climate change have threaten their integrity in recent years. The aim of this article is to provide a bibliometric analysis of the available scientific literature relating to the remote sensing of wetlands in South America. From 1960 to 2015, 153 articles were published in 63 different journals, with the number of articles published per year increasing progressively since 1990. This rise is also paralleled by an increase in the contribution of local authors. The most intensively studied regions are the wetland macrosystems of South American mega-rivers: the Amazon and Paraná Rivers, along with the Pantanal at the headwaters of Paraguay River. Few studies spanned more than two countries. The most frequent objectives were mapping, covering all types of wetlands with optical data, and hydrology, focusing on floodplain wetlands with microwave data as the preferred data source. The last decade substantial growth reflects an increase in technological and scientific capacities. Nevertheless, the state of the art regarding the remote sensing of wetlands in South America remains enigmatic. Fundamental questions and guidelines which may contribute to the understanding of the functioning of these ecosystems are yet to be fully defined and there is considerable dispersion in the use of data and remote-sensing approaches.  相似文献

An extraction method for simultaneous determination of aflatoxins (AFLAs) G2, G1, B2, and B1 in cornmeal, based on vortex-assisted matrix solid-phase dispersion (MSPD) and high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with fluorescence detection was optimized by a central composite design, validated and applied. Multivariate analysis was performed to evaluate the effect of cornmeal composition on AFLA extraction. The amount and proportion of solid support (celite and C18) and volume of elution solvent (methanol and acetonitrile) were the variables tested. The mobile phase of methanol/acetonitrile/water (24:14:62, v/v/v) in isocratic elution mode provided satisfactory AFLA separation. The best recoveries (85.7 to 114.8%) were obtained when the sample preparation contained 25 mg C18 as solid support and 10 mL of elution solvent. The limits of detection ranged from 0.01 to 0.04 ng g?1, and the limits of quantification varied from 0.02 to 0.1 ng g?1. The optimized method was suitable for coarse and medium grind cornmeal. Multivariate correlation analysis showed that the main interferers for AFLA recovery were proteins and sugars.  相似文献

In this paper, a novel methodology based on principal component analysis (PCA) is proposed to select the most suitable secondary process variables to be used as soft sensor inputs. In the proposed approach, a matrix is defined that measures the instantaneous sensitivity of each secondary variable to the primary variables to be estimated. The most sensitive secondary variables are then extracted from this matrix by exploiting the properties of PCA, and they are used as input variables for the development of a regression model suitable for on-line implementation.This method has been evaluated by developing a soft sensor that uses temperature measurements and a process regression model to estimate on-line the product compositions for a simulated batch distillation process. The identification of the optimal soft sensor inputs for this case study has been discussed with respect to the definition of the sensitivity matrix, the data sampling interval, the presence of measurement noise, and the size of the input set. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed approach can effectively identify the size and configuration of the input set that leads to the optimal estimation performance of the soft sensor.  相似文献

A component-based methodological approach to derive distributed implementations of parallel ODE solvers is proposed. The proposal is based on the incorporation of explicit constructs for performance polymorphism into a methodology to derive group parallel programs of numerical methods from SPMD modules. These constructs enable the structuring of the derivation process into clearly defined steps, each one associated with a different type of optimization. The approach makes possible to obtain a flexible tuning of a parallel ODE solver for several execution contexts and applications. Following this methodological approach, a relevant parallel numerical scheme for solving stiff ODES has been optimized and implemented on a PC cluster. This numerical scheme is obtained from a Radau IIA Implicit Runge–Kutta method and exhibits a high degree of potential parallelism. Several numerical experiments have been performed by using several test problems with different structural characteristics. These experiments show satisfactory speedup results.  相似文献

The reduced intake of dietary fiber (DF) has been associated with the increase in the incidence of several non-transmissible chronic diseases. Recently many researchers from Iberian-American countries have been studying DF of food and industrial residues in order to improve technological knowledge about concentrates production as well as the development and test of enriched products originated from regional food. The present study aimed to evaluate the regional DF potential based on compilation of data about this nutrient. There is great availability of regional and traditional food with considerable DF amounts as we may find in fruits, vegetables and cereals and legumes. Concentrated sources of DF obtained from different industrial residues were characterized and evaluated making possible their utilization in food enrichment. Cookies added to corn residues (16.8% DF in integral weight) in Colombia, and pasta added to lupine fiber in Chile (11.2%) are examples of tested enriched products. Products like bread with whole wheat (12%), products for especial uses as well as pills of citric DF (55%) and food for enteral diets (1-1.9%) are already available on Cuba market. The dietary fiber contents presented in this work allow us to have an idea of the potential of such nutrient in Iberian-American countries. Such potential has been proved to be considerably representative. It is worth to inform that the complete DF database is available on the CYTED X1.6/CNPq Project Web site (http://www.fcf.usp.br/cytedxi16). It provides data on 817 regional, traditional and not conventional foods, that can be searched and utilized by professional from different areas.  相似文献

In this work we propose a new approach for fast visualization and exploration of virtual worlds based on the use of cartographic concepts and techniques. Versions of cartographic maps with different levels of details can be created by using a set of operations named cartographic generalization. Cartographic generalization employs twelve operators and domain-specific knowledge, being the contribution of this work their transposition to 3D virtual worlds. The architecture of a system for 3D generalization is proposed and the system is implemented. Differently from traditional cartographic processes, we use artificial intelligence for both selecting the key objects and applying the operators. As a case study, we present the simplification of the historical quarter of Recife (Brazil).  相似文献

Secondary production and biomass of Cladoceran populations were studied in two marginal lakes whose connections to a tropical river were re‐established after a prolonged drought period. This study investigates the process of the recovery of the cladoceran populations after the hydrologic reconnection with the river was established. It also compares the energetic dynamic of Cladoceran populations in two lakes, one with a wide and another with a narrow connection to the river. Samples were collected every 48 h for 1 month, immediately after the river water inflow to the lakes, and 7 months after the reconnection with the river during a period of hydrologic stability of the lakes. Secondary production and biomass were compared between lakes and periods, to identify the main controlling factors for the observed variations in Cladoceran productivity. Cladocerans were more productive during the rainy period, immediately after the increased water volume, when high water temperatures were recorded in the two lacustrine systems. Secondary production and biomass values were higher in the more eutrophic lake, wherein the water chemical and physical characteristics presented slow alterations during the rainy period. Although the lake with large spatial heterogeneity and linkages with the river exhibited high Cladoceran richness, the secondary production and biomass were low. Variations in water volumes and temperatures and changes in trophic status affected the secondary production and biomass of the main Cladoceran species in the two studied lakes.  相似文献

The upgrading potential of quince (Cydonia oblonga Miller) wastes was evaluated for production of fiber-rich powders with useful functional and physiological properties. As a first approach, three products were obtained by applying different drying conditions without or with a previous extraction either with water or ethanol. Chemical compositions as well as physical and functional properties of the isolated fractions were evaluated in relation to water or oil absorption for characterization. The products obtained presented interesting hydration properties comparable to those reported for citrus and apple pulps. At the same time, all dried fractions showed high spontaneous water absorption rate in the kinetics assay. Oil absorption seemed to essentially depend on the microstructural characteristics of the fiber powders, whereas parameters involving water absorption were really determined by the material’s hydrophilicity. Specific volume, which was also in part a direct function of structural differences, was associated to the ability for oil uptake.  相似文献
