An oscillating circuit functioning at ultra low power (350 nA) for a 5‐MHz AT‐cut quartz crystal oscillator was investigated. This circuit has a resistance between the power terminal of the CMOS‐IC and the power supply, and another between the earth terminal of the CMOS‐IC and the ground (GND). These resistances discourage an inrush of current, and set a gain (gm) necessary for oscillating the circuit at minimum. The developed circuit is quite simple, but enables driving at once‐unthinkable, low power (below 1 µA). © 2007 Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan. LiMn2O4 epitaxial thin films were synthesized on SrTiO3:Nb(1 1 1) and Al2O3(0 0 1) single crystal substrates by pulsed laser deposition (PLD) method and the electrochemical properties were discussed comparing with that of amorphous LiMn2O4 film on polycrystalline Au substrate. LiMn2O4 epitaxial film showed only a single plateau in charge–discharge curves and a single redox peak at the corresponding voltage of cyclic voltammograms. This phenomenon seems to originate from the effect of the epitaxy: the film is directly connected with the substrate by the chemical bond and this connection would suppress the phase transition of LixMn2O4 film during lithium (de-)intercalation. The discharge voltage of LiMn2O4 epitaxial film on SrTiO3 was lower than that of LiMn2O4 film on Al2O3. This lowered discharge voltage may be caused by the electronic interaction between LiMn2O4 film and SrTiO3:Nb n-type semiconductor substrate.  相似文献

A determination method was developed for epoxidized soybean oil (ESBO) and epoxidized linseed oil (ELO), which are used as plasticizers and/or stabilizers, in wrapping film and cap sealings. The ESBO method reported by Castle et al. was improved. Samples were extracted with acetone-hexane (3: 7), transmethylated under alkaline conditions, then derivatized to the 1,3-dioxolanes and analyzed by GC/MS. The recoveries of spiked ESBO and ELO were between 92.6% and 104.4%. The determination limits were 0.01 mg/g for ESBO and 0.02 mg/g for ELO in the wrapping film, and 0.04 mg/g and 0.08 mg/g in the cap sealing. ESBO and ELO were surveyed in 10 samples each of wrapping film and cap sealings currently available on the Japanese market. ESBO was found at 34.7-82.8 mg/g in polyvinyl chloride (PVC) wrapping films and at 5.47-399 mg/g in cap sealings. ELO was detected at 8.6-11.4 mg/g in polyvinylidene chloride (PVDC) wrapping films, and at 46.4 mg/g in a PVC wrapping film.  相似文献

We report here two new cases of glucose phosphate isomerase (GPI) deficiency associated with hemolytic anemia and present the results of molecular analysis of the five Japanese GPI variants. A Japanese girl (GPI Fukuoka) had an episode of prolonged neonatal jaundice and at 3 years of age was admitted due to acute hemolytic crisis occurring with upper respiratory tract infection. Red blood cell (RBC) GPI activity was decreased to 11.8% of normal and the reduced glutathione (GSH) level of RBCs was slightly decreased. A 54-year-old Japanese man (GPI Iwate) was hospitalized due to chronic active hepatitis, and compensated hemolysis was noted. RBC GPI activity of the proband was decreased to 18.8%, and the GSH content was about half of the normal mean value. Sequencing of the reticulocyte GPIcDNA showed homozygous missense mutations 1028CAG-->CGG (343Gln-->Arg), 14ACC-->A7C (5Thr-->lle), 671ACG-->A7G (224Thr-->Met), and 1615GAC-->AAC (539Asp-->Asn) in GPI Narita, GPI Matsumoto, GPI Iwate, and GPI Fukuoka, respectively. We also identified GPI Kinki as a compound heterozygote of 1124ACA-->AGA(375Thr-->Arg)/ 1615GAC-->AAC(539Asp-->Asn). Our findings, together with the previous results of other investigators, showed that the GPI gene mutations so far identified were heterogeneous, although most GPI variants had common biochemical characteristics such as heat instability and normal kinetics. Several amino acid substitutions were identified in the proximity of the catalytically important amino acid residues such as Ser/Asp 159/160, Asp341, and Lys518, which have been identified in the structural analysis of the pig GPI. The molecular characterization of human GPI variants, therefore, may provide new insights into the genotype-phenotype correlation of GPI deficiency as well as the structure-function relationship of this enzyme.  相似文献

By immunizing ground-state peptides or proteins, we can produce super catalytic antibodies possessing serine protease-like characteristics. The unique feature of super catalytic antibodies is their ability to decompose a target molecule that is being killed. The authors have succeeded in preparing super catalytic antibodies that destroy (i) the HIV-1 envelope protein gp41, (ii) chemokine receptor CCR5 peptide, and (iii) Helicobacter pylori urease, etc. Some of them can degrade antigens at high catalytic reaction rates. Regarding their Km and kcat, super catalytic antibodies show intermediary values between that of enzymes (high Km and kcat) and that of antibodies (low Km and kcat [=0]). The catalytic function of an antibody mostly resides in its light chain. From mouse Vkappa germline analysis, it became clear that super catalytic antibodies are generated from some discrete germlines such as bb1, cr1, cs1, bl1, bj2 and bd2. In these Vkappa germlines, at least one catalytic triad composed of three amino acid residues, namely, Asp1, Ser27a and His93, is encoded. Namely, the antibody light chains (super catalytic antibodies) generated from the germlines are inherently able to enzymatically decompose antigens. Thus, such antibody light chains can be referred to as antigenase (antigen-decomposing enzyme) and may have arisen during the evolution of antibodies to acquire a higher ability than that of enzymes for developing a sophisticated self-defense system for survival.  相似文献
