The latent semantic analysis (LSA) has been widely used in the fields of computer vision and pattern recognition. Most of the existing works based on LSA focus on behavior recognition and motion classification. In the applications of visual surveillance, accurate tracking of the moving people in surveillance scenes, is regarded as one of the preliminary requirement for other tasks such as object recognition or segmentation. However, accurate tracking is extremely hard under challenging surveillance scenes where similarity among multiple objects or occlusion among multiple objects occurs. Usual temporal Markov chain based tracking algorithms suffer from the ‘tracking error accumulation problem’. The accumulated errors can finally make the tracking to drift from the target. To handle the problem of tracking drift, some authors have proposed the idea of using detection along with tracking as an effective solution. However, many of the critical issues still remain unsettled in these detection based tracking algorithms. In this paper, we propose a novel moving people tracking with detection based on (probabilistic) LSA. By employing a novel ‘twin-pipeline’ training framework to find the latent semantic topics of ‘moving people’, the proposed detection can effectively detect the interest points on moving people in different indoor and outdoor environments with camera motion. Since the detected interest points on different body parts can be used to locate the position of moving people more accurately, by combining the detection with incremental subspace learning based tracking, the proposed algorithms resolves the problem of tracking drift during each target appearance update process. In addition, due to the time independent processing mechanism of detection, the proposed method is also able to handle the error accumulation problem. The detection can calibrate the tracking errors during updating of each state of the tracking algorithm. Extensive, experiments on various surveillance environments using different benchmark datasets have proved the accuracy and robustness of the proposed tracking algorithm. Further, the experimental comparison results clearly show that the proposed tracking algorithm outperforms the well known tracking algorithms such as ISL, AMS and WSL algorithms. This study aims at identifying the best object-based fusion strategy that takes advantage of the complementarity of several heterogeneous airborne data sources for improving the classification of 15 tree species in an urban area (Toulouse, France). The airborne data sources are: hyperspectral Visible Near-Infrared (160 spectral bands, spatial resolution of 0.4 m) and Short-Wavelength Infrared (256 spectral bands, 1.6 m), panchromatic (14 cm), and a normalized Digital Surface Model (12.5 cm). Object-based feature and decision level fusion strategies are proposed and compared when applied to a reference site where the species are previously identified during ground truth collection. This allows the best fusion strategy to be selected with a view to introducing the method in an automatic process (tree crown delineation and species classification) on a test site, independent of the reference site used for learning. In particular, a decision level fusion is selected: based on the Support Vector Machine algorithm, Visible Near-Infrared and Short-Wavelength Infrared classifications use Minimum Noise Fraction components at the original spatial resolution, whereas panchromatic and normalized Digital Surface Model classifications use, respectively, Haralick’s and structural features computed at the object scale. After the computation of a decision profile for each source at the object level based on the classification algorithms’ membership probabilities, these decision profiles are combined and a decision rule is applied to predict the species. Focusing on the reference site, the Visible Near-Infrared exhibits the best performances with F-score values higher than 60% for 13 species out of 15. The Short-Wavelength Infrared is the most powerful for three species with F-score greater than 60% for seven common species with the Visible Near-Infrared. The panchromatic and normalized Digital Surface Model contribute marginally. The best fusion strategy (decision fusion) does not improve significantly the overall accuracy with 77% (kappa = 74%) against 75% (kappa = 72%) for the Visible Near-Infrared but in general, it improves the results for cases where complementarities have been observed. When applied to the test site and assessed for the two majority species (Tilia tomentosa and Platanus x hispanica), the selected approach gives consistent results with an overall accuracy of 63% against 55% for the Visible Near-Infrared. 相似文献

In this paper, we deal with some magnetostatic models considered in vector potential formulations and solved by a Finite Element solver. In order to ensure the uniqueness of the solution, a gauge condition has to be imposed, and several possibilities occur. The automatic compilation of bilingual lists of terms from specialized comparable corpora using lexical alignment has been successful for single-word terms (SWTs), but remains disappointing for multi-word terms (MWTs). The low frequency and the variability of the syntactic structures of MWTs in the source and the target languages are the main reported problems. This paper defines a general framework dedicated to the lexical alignment of MWTs from comparable corpora that includes a compositional translation process and the standard lexical context analysis. The compositional method which is based on the translation of lexical items being restrictive, we introduce an extended compositional method that bridges the gap between MWTs of different syntactic structures through morphological links. We experimented with the two compositional methods for the French–Japanese alignment task. The results show a significant improvement for the translation of MWTs and advocate further morphological analysis in lexical alignment. 相似文献

A high-fidelity “hybrid” telerobotic simulator suitable for telemanipulation rehearsal, supervisory control, operator training, and human factors performance evaluation has been developed. The simulator is capable of operation in the conventional rate-control, master/slave control, and a data-driven preprogrammed mode of operation. It has teach/playback capability, which allows an operator to generate joint commands for real-time teleoperation. For high-level task execution, the operator selects a specific task from a set of menu options and the simulator automatically generates the required joint commands. In this article, an object detection strategy that has been implemented in the simulator for more realistic telemanipulation is presented. The object detection technique is based on the use of superellipsoids, which have a convenient inside-outside function for interference testing. The technique, which treats both moving and stationary objects in a consistent manner, has proved to be easy to implement and optimize for real-time applications. During the continuous casting of steel, several disturbances occur and affect all the parts of the caster, including the mould where the molten steel has to be stable for good quality of the final product. Especially at high casting velocities, the bulging generates important level fluctuations which cannot be efficiently rejected by the classical controllers. To address these problems, this paper proposes an architecture combining disturbances estimation and compensation techniques. It operates as an additional module and does not need any change of the main controller currently implemented.
