Summary The isomeric food dyes E 110 and E 111 can be separated by ion pair partition HPLC on reversed-phase columns. The isomer E 111 - no longer permitted in Germany - can thus be determined in dye and food samples. The determination of E 110, E 111, and E 124 in fish samples (canned saithe) is described.

The small effects of bilateral lesions of motor thalamus on motor control and the transient deficits induced by bilateral kainic red nucleus (RN) lesions have been explained by a parallel competitive role of the cortico- and rubro-spinal pathways: Either pathway can take over motor control if the other is damaged. In this study the effect of bilateral and simultaneous lesions of both RN and motor thalamus was analyzed on cats overtrained to reach toward a moving target. After lesion, accuracy was impaired, movement onset was delayed, and movement execution was perturbed. However, postoperative retraining led to full recovery of the preoperative accuracy level although movement latency remained higher. The relative mildness of the long-lasting deficit after lesioning 2 main motor brain structures underlines the robustness of overlearned movements and widens the idea of parallelism in the motor system to other (subcortical?) pathways. Microsphere-based immunoassay by flow cytometry has gained popularity lately in protein detection and infectious disease diagnosis due to its capacity for multiplexed analysis and simple assay format. Here, we demonstrated the power of microsphere-based immunoassay for high-sensitivity detection and accurate differentiation of influenza viruses. The effects of sample volume and bead number on the assay sensitivity of viral antigen detection were studied. Compared to enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays, flow-based bead assays provided approximately 10-fold lower detection limit for viral particle detection and performed similarly for recombinant viral hemagglutinin protein detection. A four-plexed assay for influenza virus typing and influenza B virus sublineage characterization was developed to demonstrate the potential for multiplexed viral antigen detection and differentiation.  相似文献

A parallel four-channel LC-MS/MS system for quantitative high-throughput in vitro screens is described. The system comprises four pumps, a four-valve autosampler equipped with a nine-port stream selector valve, and a triple quadrupole mass spectrometer. Staggered injections across the sample list are performed by four injector valves onto separate columns in such a manner that the chromatographic window of interest is always eluting from one of the columns into the mass spectrometer. To demonstrate the applicability of the system, three different compounds (verapamil, propanolol, dextromethorphan) were analyzed. The results showed that the sample throughput could be increased more than three times in comparison with a conventional single-column LC-MS/MS system. Validation results for the three compounds showed an accuracy of 85.0-108%, a precision (given as relative standard deviation) of 2.60-10.7%, and a carryover of less than 0.1%.  相似文献

It is shown that pore-free bulk samples were produced by the high-energy rate forming axis-symmetrical powder compaction method for different application purposes in case of the very different, immiscible Al and Pb metal pair. The starting Al-Pb nanocomposites were made by mechanical milling of atomized Al and Pb powders either in a SPEX 9000 or a Fritsch Pulverisette 4 mill. Due to the conditions that milling was carried out in air, the PbO layer, originally existing at the surface of the atomized Pb powder, ruptured and was also dispersed in the composite. The presence of the nano PbO particles was proven by XRD and TEM (BF, DF, SAED). When the energy of milling was high, the PbO crystallites became so small that they could hardly be seen by XRD technique. Local distribution of the PbO nanoparticles was still visible in a TEM, using the process diffraction method. Both XRD and SAED proved to be useful for the evaluation of the results of the milling process and compaction.  相似文献
