The features of mercury oxo- and chalcohalide crystal structure, including Hg3 Y 2 X 2 (Y?=?O, S, Se, Te; X?=?Cl, Br, I), chromates, phosphates and related compounds, are analyzed in terms of building blocks, their symmetry and stability. Building blocks are found, which are rigid atomic groups, namely, oxo-centered [Hg4O] tetrahedra, [Hg6O2] r-octahedra, [Hg2]2+, [Hg3]4+, [Hg3O]2+, [Ag3Hg]4+ cluster cations, etc. Bonded by the strongest chemical bonds, these groups keep their geometry unchanged in crystal structures of different composition. Thus cluster cations can be considered as single large cations, while their environment may be described by pseudo-coordination polyhedra, constructed around the centroid of each cation. This tendency was found for the example of atoms joined to pairs of [CrO4] tetrahedra, according to which the geometry of mutual arrangement of rigid atomic groups tends not to change. It is shown that the symmetry of the rigid atomic groups is a subgroup of the space group symmetry, and partly predetermines it. In crystal structures of some Hg3 Y 2 X 2 chalcohalides, the structure-forming role of packing of halogen atoms is revealed.  相似文献

Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is the most prevalent neurodegenerative disease in the elderly. Progressive accumulation of insoluble isoforms of amyloid-β peptide (Aβ) and tau protein are the major neuropathologic hallmarks, and the loss of cholinergic pathways underlies cognitive deficits in patients. Recently, glial involvement has gained interest regarding its effect on preservation and impairment of brain integrity. The limbic system, including temporal lobe regions and the olfactory bulb, is particularly affected in the early stages. In the early 1980s, the reduced expression of the somatostatin neuropeptide was described in AD. However, over the last three decades, research on somatostatin in Alzheimer’s disease has been scarce in humans. Therefore, the aim of this study was to stereologically quantify the expression of somatostatin in the human hippocampus and olfactory bulb and analyze its spatial distribution with respect to that of Aβ and au neuropathologic proteins and astroglia. The results indicate that somatostatin-expressing cells are reduced by 50% in the hippocampus but are preserved in the olfactory bulb. Interestingly, the coexpression of somatostatin with the Aβ peptide is very common but not with the tau protein. Finally, the coexpression of somatostatin with astrocytes is rare, although their spatial distribution is very similar. Altogether, we can conclude that somatostatin expression is highly reduced in the human hippocampus, but not the olfactory bulb, and may play a role in Alzheimer’s disease pathogenesis.  相似文献

In recent decades, endogenous nanocarrier-exosomes have received considerable scientific interest as drug delivery systems. The unique proteo-lipid architecture allows the crossing of various natural barriers and protects exosomes cargo from degradation in the bloodstream. However, the presence of this bilayer membrane as well as their endogenous content make loading of exogenous molecules challenging. In the present work, we will investigate how to promote the manipulation of vesicles curvature by a high-pressure microfluidic system as a ground-breaking method for exosomes encapsulation. Exosomes isolated from Uppsala 87 Malignant Glioma (U87-MG) cell culture media were characterized before and after the treatment with high-pressure homogenization. Once their structural and biological stability were validated, we applied this novel method for the encapsulation in the lipidic exosomal bilayer of the chemotherapeutic Irinotecan HCl Trihydrate-CPT 11. Finally, we performed in vitro preliminary test to validate the nanobiointeraction of exosomes, uptake mechanisms, and cytotoxic effect in cell culture model.  相似文献

The use of aluminous refractory materials containing MgAl2O4-spinel has led to a major breakthrough in the service life of refractory coatings applied in the industries and in the quality of the products.Many researches have been conducted to improve the synthetic procedures in order to reduce the production cost of these materials. In this way, refractory cements involving in situ generated spinel phase have been obtained from mixtures of active alumina and dolomites. Other investigations have demonstrated that γ alumina is advantageous in comparison with the α polymorph in the synthesis and sintering properties of pure MgAl2O4-spinel.In this article, the performance of both polymorphs of alumina, used as raw materials in the preparation of the refractory cements, along with dolomite proceeding from Olavarría, in the centre of Buenos Aires Province (Argentine), is compared.The thermal and structural changes which take place during the firing of the batches up to 1450 °C were studied by the combination of diffractometric and infrared spectroscopy data, at the most remarkable reaction steps.According to these results, the study of phase changes within the investigated thermal range allowed to establish the main differences in the composition of both mixtures in each firing step. Independently of the type of alumina used, a mixed phase product consisting of spinel, as a major phase, accompanied by CaAl2O4 (CA) and CaAl4O7 (CA2), as secondary phases, was obtained. In addition, it was found that the formation of these phases at lower temperature is favoured by γ-Al2O3.  相似文献

New copolymers of 2-methacryloyloxyethyl phosphorylcholine with 2-Deoxy-2-methacrylamido-D-glucose, N-vinylpyrrolidone, and N-vinyl-N-methylacetamide were synthesized and characterized; the obtained copolymers contained 10–50 mol% of phosphorylcholine moieties, and their molecular masses ranged from 1.05 × 105 to 4.40 × 105. Reactivity ratios of the monomers were estimated. Conformational states of the copolymers in aqueous solutions were studied. Due to the information gap between the VEGETATION sensors and Sentinel-3 mission, the Belgian state decided to build a small satellite, Project for Onboard Autonomy-Vegetation (PROBA-V), to ensure the continuity of the data record for vegetation studies. In this study, simulated PROBA-V data generated by the Landsat Thematic Mapper (TM) were used to evaluate the potential of this mission to assess winter wheat status. The root mean square error (RMSE) of PROBA-V's leaf area index (LAI), which was generated using the exponential method and the interpolation method, is 0.33 and 0.96 for March 2011 and 1.40 and 3.33 for May 2011, respectively. Système Pour l'Observation de la Terre (SPOT) VEGETATION's LAI does not show a significant relationship with the reference LAI values except for the LAI values during the stem elongation 100% phenological stage generated using the exponential method (correlation coefficient, r = 0.91; = 0.01). For the tillering and stem elongation 100% phenological stages, linear regression models for the fraction of absorbed photosynthetically active radiation (FAPAR) with PROBA-V's normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) were developed (coefficient of determination, R 2, of 0.94 and 0.88). Exponential models for LAI (R 2 of 0.91 and 0.93) and fresh weight of above-ground biomass (AGBf) (R 2 of 0.90 and 0.93) with PROBA-V's near-infrared (NIR) and visible and near-infrared bands (VNIR B2) were developed accordingly. The assessment of winter wheat status showed that the highest and the lowest values of PROBA-V's simulated data (SD), i.e. NDVI, normalized difference water index (NDWI), and LAI of Field 2 and Field 4, correspond to the ground-measured biometric parameters.  相似文献

Progress in deriving land surface biophysical parameters in a spatially explicit manner using remotely sensed data has greatly enhanced our ability to model ecosystem processes and monitor crop development. A multitude of satellite sensors and algorithms have been used to generate ready-to-use maps of various biophysical parameters. Validation of these products for different vegetation types is needed to assess their reliability and consistency. While most of the current satellite biophysical products have spatial resolution of one kilometre, a recent effort utilizing data from the Medium Resolution Imaging Spectrometer (MERIS) provided leaf area index (LAI), Fraction of Absorbed Photosynthetically Active Radiation (FAPAR), and other canopy parameters in a resolution as fine as 300 m over the European continent. This resolution would be more appropriate for application at the regional scale, particularly for crop monitoring. This higher-resolution MERIS product has been evaluated in a limited number of studies to date. This article aims to validate LAI and FAPAR from the MERIS 10-day composite BioPar BP-10 product over winter wheat fields in northeast Bulgaria. The ground measurements of LAI and FAPAR were up-scaled and 30 m resolution reference raster layers were created using empirical relationships with Landsat TM (RMSE = 0.06 and RMSE = 0.22 for FAPAR and LAI, respectively). MERIS FAPAR and LAI were found to have significant correlation with FAPAR and LAI from the reference raster layers (R2 = 0.84 and R2 = 0.78, respectively). When MERIS Green LAI was calculated (incorporating the fraction of vegetation and brown vegetation cover from the BioPar BP-10 product), better correspondence with LAI values from the reference raster layer was achieved, with RMSE and bias reduced by 30–35%. The results from this study confirm the findings of previous validations showing that MERIS Green LAI tends to overestimate LAI values lower than 1. As a conclusion of the study, the BioPar BP-10 product was found to provide reliable estimates of FAPAR and acceptably accurate estimates of LAI for winter wheat crops in North-East Bulgaria.  相似文献
