Analysis and synthesis of on-chip spiral inductors

This paper presents a physically based compact model for estimating high-frequency performance of spiral inductors. The model accurately accounts for skin and proximity effects in the metal conductors as well as eddy current losses in the substrate. The model shows excellent agreement with measured data mostly within 10% across a variety of inductor geometries and substrate dopings up to 20 GHz. A web-based spiral inductor synthesis and analysis tool COILS, which makes use of the compact models, is presented. An optimization algorithm using binary searches speeds up the synthesis of inductor designs.     

Ozonation of CI Reactive Black 5 using rotating packed bed and stirred tank reactor

This study investigates the ozonation of CI Reactive Black 5 (RB5) by using the rotating packed bed (RPB) and completely stirred tank reactor (CSTR) as ozone contactors. The RPB, which provides high gravitational force by adjusting the rotational speed, was employed as a novel ozone contactor. The same ozone dosage was separately introduced into either the RPB or the CSTR for the investigation, while the experimental solution was continuously circulated within the apparatus consisting of the RPB and CSTR. The decolorization and mineralization efficiencies of RB5 in the course of ozonation are compared for these two methods. Moreover, the dissolved and off‐gas ozone concentrations were simultaneously monitored for the further analysis. As a result, the ozone mass transfer rate per unit volume of the RPB was significantly higher because of its higher mass transfer coefficient and gas–liquid concentration driving force. Furthermore, ozonation kinetics was found to be independent of the gravitational magnitude of an ozone gas–liquid contactor. Therefore, the results suggest employing RPBs as ozone‐contacting devices with the advantage of volume reduction. The experimental results, which can be used for further modeling of the ozonation process in the RPB, also show the requirement of correct design for the RPB. β″－Al_2O_3陶瓷的强化和韧化

研究了稳定ＺｒＯ＿２和部份稳定ＺｒＯ＿２对β″－Ａｌ＿２Ｏ＿３陶瓷的强化和韧化作用，观察了不同种类、不同含量的ＺｒＯ＿２对β″－Ａｌ＿２Ｏ＿３陶瓷的显微结构、力学性能和电导率的影响，探讨了β″－Ａｌ＿２Ｏ＿３的韧化机理。     

电子表格EXCEL5.0在选煤线性规划问题中的应用

采用电子表格软件ＥＸＣＥＬ５．０可以方便地解决许多选煤生产中的线性规划问题。本文通过选煤过程线性规划实例介绍ＥＸＣＥＬ５．０在此领域的应用方法。

本文研究短程透镜的焦点位于端面外的球差特性。对焦点位于波导外部（包括端面）的情况给出了一种精确测量焦距新方法，采用这种方法简单易行，测量精度取决于读数显微镜的读数精度（０．０１ｍｍ）。     

粉尘薄膜爆轰

与普通爆轰不同，粉尘薄膜爆轰波前氧化剂与燃料处于分离状态．由于激波作用下壁面燃料的注入才于壁面附近形成燃烧的粉尘云，燃烧释放的热使激波自持形成粉尘薄膜爆轰。本文在长2、8m，横截面20mm×20mm的方型水平激波管中对此类爆轰进行了实验研究．并根据作者建立的模型对其二维结构进行了数值模拟。

薄Si膜对基底表面粗糙度的影响

利用ＺＹＧＯ光学干涉测量仪，散射积分测量法观测了光学元件表面均方根粗糙度．详细分析了薄Ｓｉ膜对基底均方根粗糙度的影响，由此认为薄膜并不总是复制基底表面的粗糙度，结果出现了薄膜降低表面粗糙度的现象．提出了一定厚度范围的薄Ｓｉ膜的表面粗糙度存在着一个稳定值的新设想．     

Oxygen absorption kinetics in YBa2Cu3Ox

The oxygen absorption process in highly aligned YBa₂Cu₃O_x samples in air and in pure oxygen was studied at several constant temperatures. The process can be expressed in two steps, a chemical reaction controlled step and a diffusion controlled step. The kinetic equations are as follows respectively:

The activation energy was calculated using an Arrhenius equation. The technical conditions of heat treatment for oxygen absorption of highly aligned YBa₂Cu₃O_x crystals are discussed.
