We address the problem of how a set of agents can decide to share a resource, represented as a unit-sized pie. The pie can be generated by the entire set but also by some of its subsets. We investigate a finite horizon non-cooperative bargaining game, in which the players take it in turns to make proposals on how the resource should for this purpose be allocated, and the other players vote on whether or not to accept the allocation. Voting is modelled as a Bayesian weighted voting game with uncertainty about the players’ weights. The agenda, (i.e., the order in which the players are called to make offers), is defined exogenously. We focus on impatient players with heterogeneous discount factors. In the case of a conflict, (i.e., no agreement by the deadline), no player receives anything. We provide a Bayesian subgame perfect equilibrium for the bargaining game and conduct an ex-ante analysis of the resulting outcome. We show that the equilibrium is unique, computable in polynomial time, results in an instant Pareto optimal outcome, and, under certain conditions provides a foundation for the core and also the nucleolus of the Bayesian voting game. In addition, our analysis leads to insights on how an individual’s bargained share is influenced by his position on the agenda. Finally, we show that, if the conflict point of the bargaining game changes, then the problem of determining the non-cooperative equilibrium becomes NP-hard even under the perfect information assumption. Our research also reveals how this change in conflict point impacts on the above mentioned results.  相似文献

In recent years, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) technologies are emerging as a powerful vehicle for organizations that need to integrate their applications within and across organizational boundaries. In addition, organizations need to make better decisions more quickly. Moreover, they need to change those decisions immediately to adapt to this increasingly dynamic business environment. It is primarily a question in ensuring the decisional aspect by adopting the SOA as a support architecture. In this paper, we describe a new approach called SOA\(^\mathrm{+d}\) based on a certain number of standards. It is going to be studied on three dimensions: The first is related to the definition of the information system implied in the SOA based on the use case model. The second develops the business dimension which is based on the BPMN (Business Process Modeling Notation). The last dimension addresses the need of decision; we use the new standard decision model and notation (DMN) which is recently approved by Object Management Group (OMG) and considered as a simple notation to specify the decision. Finally, Service Oriented Architecture Modeling Language (SoaML) will be used for design of several services. We also present our meta-model Decisional Model of Service (DMS) to define a new set of concepts necessary for modeling the three levels. Some of them are already known, whereas others are new and are proposed as an element of this work. we illustrate our proposal with a real case study in the Pharmacy Inventory Management.  相似文献

The aim of this paper is to deal with an output controllability problem. It consists in driving the state of a distributed parabolic system toward a state between two prescribed functions on a boundary subregion of the system evolution domain with minimum energy control. Two necessary conditions are derived. The first one is formulated in terms of subdifferential associated with a minimized functional. The second one is formulated as a system of equations for arguments of the Lagrange systems. Numerical illustrations show the efficiency of the second approach and lead to some conjectures. Using Monte Carlo simulations, we are studying the magnetic properties of Fe-doped CuO thin films. The total magnetizations and the susceptibilities are studied as a function of the effect doping, external magnetic field, and exchange coupling. The critical temperature is discussed as a function of the effect of iron concentration. On the other hand, we investigate the effect of increasing temperatures on the coercive field for a constant value of exchange coupling and a fixed concentration. The coercive magnetic field is found to decrease with increasing temperature values until reaching its null value. The effect of increasing the exchange coupling amount on the saturation magnetic field H s is illustrated. A linear growth of the saturation magnetic field is found as a function of the exchange coupling interaction. To complete this study, we presented and discussed the magnetic hysteresis cycle loops.  相似文献

Proteins implicated in iron homeostasis are assumed to be also involved in the cellular processing of iron oxide nanoparticles. In this work, the role of an endogenous iron storage protein—namely the ferritin—is examined in the remediation and biodegradation of magnetic iron oxide nanoparticles. Previous in vivo studies suggest the intracellular transfer of the iron ions released during the degradation of nanoparticles to endogenous protein cages within lysosomal compartments. Here, the capacity of ferritin cages to accommodate and store the degradation products of nanoparticles is investigated in vitro in the physiological acidic environment of the lysosomes. Moreover, it is questioned whether ferritin proteins can play an active role in the degradation of the nanoparticles. The magnetic, colloidal, and structural follow‐up of iron oxide nanoparticles and proteins in lysosome‐like medium confirms the efficient remediation of potentially harmful iron ions generated by nanoparticles within ferritins. The presence of ferritins, however, delays the degradation of particles due to a complex colloidal behavior of the mixture in acidic medium. This study exemplifies the important implications of intracellular proteins in processes of degradation and metabolization of iron oxide nanoparticles.  相似文献

Nanoparticles are known to play remarkable role as abiotic stress elicitors in plants. This study reports the comparative analysis of effects produced by capped [zinc oxide (ZnO)‐polyethylene glycol (PEG), ZnO‐polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP), copper oxide (CuO)‐PEG, CuO‐PVP] and uncapped (ZnO and CuO) nanoparticles on the medicinal plant, Stevia rebaudiana raised in vitro for the production of commercially important sweetener compounds. In context of shoot organogenesis, ZnO‐PEG, ZnO‐PVP, CuO‐PEG, CuO‐PVP were employed to the growth medium that resulted in increased growth parameters, and larger content of steviol glycosides as compared to the shoots raised in medium containing ZnO and CuO, revealed by high‐performance liquid chromatography. In the meanwhile, non‐enzymatic antioxidant activities including total phenolic content, total flavonoid content, total antioxidant capacity, total reducing power and 2,2‐diphenyl‐1‐picryl hydrazyl‐free radical scavenging activity were calculated and showed comparatively greater amounts in shoots grown in medium containing capped ZnO or CuO nanoparticles. Furthermore, the ZnO and its derivatives revealed to be more reactive at 1 mg/l of concentration. Whereas, the CuO and its derivatives produced greater response on Stevia at 10 mg/l concentration of nanoparticles. The Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) emerges with the vision of the Wireless Body Sensor Network (WBSN) to improve the health monitoring systems and has an enormous impact on the healthcare system for recognizing the levels of risk/severity factors (premature diagnosis, treatment, and supervision of chronic disease i.e., cancer) via wearable/electronic health sensor i.e., wireless endoscopic capsule. However, AI-assisted endoscopy plays a very significant role in the detection of gastric cancer. Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) has been widely used to diagnose gastric cancer based on various feature extraction models, consequently, limiting the identification and categorization performance in terms of cancerous stages and grades associated with each type of gastric cancer. This paper proposed an optimized AI-based approach to diagnose and assess the risk factor of gastric cancer based on its type, stage, and grade in the endoscopic images for smart healthcare applications. The proposed method is categorized into five phases such as image pre-processing, Four-Dimensional (4D) image conversion, image segmentation, K-Nearest Neighbour (K-NN) classification, and multi-grading and staging of image intensities. Moreover, the performance of the proposed method has experimented on two different datasets consisting of color and black and white endoscopic images. The simulation results verified that the proposed approach is capable of perceiving gastric cancer with 88.09% sensitivity, 95.77% specificity, and 96.55% overall accuracy respectively.  相似文献

The friction coefficient, , of cork sliding on another material (glass and steel in most experiments and also cork) was measured for various compressive stresses and sliding velocities. There is a strong effect of stress and a negligible effect of velocity on the friction coefficient. Values of are in the range 0.4 to 1.2. The effect of moisture content of cork was also evaluated. For dry cork (6% moisture content) there is anisotropy of the friction coefficient related to the orientation of the sliding plane of cork, with larger values for sliding in the tangential plane (compression in the radial direction) as compared to sliding in planes perpendicular to this. At larger moisture contents, the anisotropy of decreases. No in-plane of sliding anisotropy was detected. The friction coefficients for sliding on glass and on steel are comparable, but an effect of roughness was detected. In this paper we address a hybrid flow shop scheduling problem considering the minimization of the sum of the total earliness and tardiness penalties. This problem is proven to be NP-hard, and consequently the development of heuristic and meta-heuristic approaches to solve it is well justified. So, we propose an ant colony optimization method to deal with this problem. Our proposed method has several features, including some heuristics that specifically take into account both earliness and tardiness penalties to compute the heuristic information values. The performance of our algorithm is tested by numerical experiments on a large number of randomly generated problems. A comparison with solutions performance obtained by some constructive heuristics is presented. The results show that the proposed approach performs well for this problem.  相似文献

Currently it is very difficult for connection oriented applications to use a mobile environment. One reason is that Mobile IP requires intermediate software agents to be deployed in the Internet. This infrastructure based mobility scheme offers connectivity to itinerant hosts but incurs significant handoff and tunneling delays along with deployment costs. These delays are particularly harmful for connection oriented applications. In this paper we investigate an alternate mobility scheme which does not require any such infrastructure but only uses an end-point technique and interestingly provides much faster loss-free handoff for connection oriented applications. This End-to-End scheme named Interactive Protocol for Mobile Networks (IPMN) intelligently performs handoff based on information provided by MAC Layer. The network address change is handled by renewing the existing connections by manipulating the TCP/IP stack at the end-points. Also, unlike several other recently proposed end-to-end techniques which require extensive modification of end-protocols, the proposed scheme does not require any functional change in the TCP/IP protocol software. Besides the difference in deployment scenarios, the IPMN offers blazingly fast event based handoff and much faster and simplified transport (no tunneling delay) than MIP. We have implemented IPMN over FreeBSD. In this paper we show the performance advantage of IPMN over MIP with real deployment for three interesting real-time traffic types — www, voice streaming and, steerable/interactive time critical video.  相似文献
