This paper deals with the basic requirements that should be fulfilled by a technique for segmenting video sequences in coding applications. The specific problems of coding-oriented video segmentation are analyzed. This way, intra-frame and inter-frame segmentation approaches are studied. In the inter-frame mode, the problems of temporal label coherence and connectivity in the coding framework are discussed and solutions are presented.  相似文献

In this paper a new CMOS transconductor structure based on a gm-boosted degenerated differential pair is presented for applications in the video frequency range. The proposed circuit combines two techniques, a switchable array of source degenerating MOS resistors and a programmable output current mirror, in order to widen the Gm tuning range while maintaining linearity. Degeneration MOS resistors are made common-mode voltage independent thanks to a simple control circuit. Post-layout simulation results from a 0.35 μm design supplied at 3.3 V show a wide tuning range (10–100 MHz), good linearity (−58.4 dB for an output signal voltage of 1.1 Vp–p) and low excess phase (<0.5° over the whole tuning range).  相似文献

We consider the self-calibration (affine and metric reconstruction) problem from images acquired with a camera with unchanging internal parameters undergoing planar motion. The general self-calibration methods (modulus constraint, Kruppa equations) are known to fail with this camera motion. In this paper we give two novel linear constraints on the coordinates of the plane at infinity in a projective reconstruction for any camera motion. In the planar case, we show that the two constraints are equivalent and easy to compute, giving us a linear version of the quartic modulus constraint. Using this fact, we present a new linear method to solve the self-calibration problem with planar motion of the camera from three or more images. The use of hand gestures offers an alternative to the commonly used human computer interfaces, providing a more intuitive way of navigating among menus and multimedia applications. This paper presents a system for hand gesture recognition devoted to control windows applications. Starting from the images captured by a time-of-flight camera (a camera that produces images with an intensity level inversely proportional to the depth of the objects observed) the system performs hand segmentation as well as a low-level extraction of potentially relevant features which are related to the morphological representation of the hand silhouette. Classification based on these features discriminates between a set of possible static hand postures which results, combined with the estimated motion pattern of the hand, in the recognition of dynamic hand gestures. The whole system works in real-time, allowing practical interaction between user and application.  相似文献

Soft optomechanical systems have the ability to reversibly respond to optical and mechanical external stimuli by changing their own properties (e.g., shape, size, viscosity, stiffness, color or transmittance). These systems typically combine the optical properties of plasmonic, dielectric or carbon-based nanomaterials with the high elasticity and deformability of soft polymers, thus opening the path for the development of new mechanically tunable optical systems, sensors, and actuators for a wide range of applications. This review focuses on the recent progresses in soft optomechanical systems, which are here classified according to their applications and mechanisms of optomechanical response. The first part summarizes the soft optomechanical systems for mechanical sensing and optical modulation based on the variation of their optical response under external mechanical stimuli, thereby inducing mechanochromic or intensity modulation effects. The second part describes the soft optomechanical systems for the development of light induced mechanical actuators based on different actuation mechanisms, such as photothermal effects and phase transitions, among others. The final section provides a critical analysis of the main limitations of current soft optomechanical systems and the progress that is required for future devices.  相似文献

Here, two conformationally constrained sialyl analogues were synthesized and characterized in their interaction with the inhibitory Siglec, human CD22 (h-CD22). An orthogonal approach, including biophysical assays (SPR and fluorescence), ligand-based NMR techniques, and molecular modelling, was employed to disentangle the interaction mechanisms at a molecular level. The results showed that the Sialyl-TnThr antigen analogue represents a promising scaffold for the design of novel h-CD22 inhibitors. Our findings also suggest that the introduction of a biphenyl moiety at position 9 of the sialic acid hampers canonical accommodation of the ligand in the protein binding pocket, even though the affinity with respect to the natural ligand is increased. Our results address the search for novel modifications of the Neu5Ac-α(2-6)-Gal epitope, outline new insights for the design and synthesis of high-affinity h-CD22 ligands, and offer novel prospects for therapeutic intervention to prevent autoimmune diseases and B-cell malignancies.  相似文献
