First results showing the viability of combining laser chemical processing (LCP) and aerosol jet printing (AJP) technologies to produce a high‐efficiency front side for silicon solar cells are presented. LCP simultaneously opens the anti‐reflection coating (ARC) and highly dopes the underlying silicon to create a selective emitter, while AJP is the first in a two‐step fine‐line contact formation procedure. The electrical properties as well as the morphology of the resulting structures are presented. Performance similar to that achieved with evaporated TiPdAg metallization is demonstrated. Solubilisation and degradation of wheat gluten proteins by barley malt proteolytic enzymes (BMPE) was investigated with a model buffer system at pH 4.0 and pH 5.6, representing optimal pH for proteolysis and a pH value typical for beer brewing conditions respectively. Under the experimental conditions, incubation of commercial wheat gluten with BMPE solubilised 70% and 20% of the gluten proteins at pH 4.0 and pH 5.6 respectively. Gel permeation chromatography profiles and SDS‐PAGE showed that wheat gluten proteins were more degraded by BMPE at pH 4.0 than at pH 5.6. In a laboratory scale barley malt brewing experiment, proteins of worts, prepared with and without wheat gluten, were characterised. Results comparable to those in the model buffer system at pH 5.6 were obtained, which indicated that BMPE indeed solubilise wheat gluten during mashing, but that further degradation is rather limited under these conditions.  相似文献

Aquatic humic substances (HS) from a bog lake water, a riverwater, and a groundwater were isolated after enrichment on XAD 8 columns and added to a Czapek-Dox nutrient broth which was used either in full strength or without glucose and/or NaNO3. The individual flasks were inoculated with natural microbial populations of corresponding water samples or with a Pseudomonas fluorescens strain isolated from groundwater. The presence of HS resulted in an increase of bacterial numbers in nearly all cultures incubated for 3 weeks at 25 degrees C on a shaker. HS reisolated from cultures without glucose or NaNO3 showed no or only minor quantitative differences as compared to those from sterile controls. In full strength nutrient broth up to 27% of HS were utilized. Data obtained by spectroscopic methods (UV/vis/FTIR) and elemental analysis indicated a decrease in particle size and a loss in aromaticity and aliphatic carbon in HS reisolated from the microbial cultures. Simultaneously an increase in the N content of HS was observed, which probably originated from some constituents of microbial biomass such as proteins and amino sugars. The NMR data also documented that significant transformations of HS occurred in the individual microbial cultures. After incubation, increased amounts of aromatic acids were detected in some liquid media and residual HS by GC/MS or capillary electrophoresis. 1H NMR spectroscopy was less effective in indicating structural differences in the HS than 13C NMR but revealed considerable detail of the microbial degradation of riverine HS, when limited sample was available. The newly developed NMR increment analysis provided substantial detail of aromatic structures in a microbially altered HS. The microbial degradation of HS strongly depended on the composition of the HS, the species selection of the microorganisms, and to a lesser extent on the culture conditions. For any series of identical inoculum and HS, full broth media initiated the most extensive alteration of HS.  相似文献

Non-thermal food preservation technology is based on the application of high pressures up to 600 MPa. Here we report a resonance Raman (RR) spectroscopic analysis of smoked salmon meat after high pressure processing. High quality spectra, which can be obtained even from packed salmon without spectral interference of the packing foil, allow determining pressure-dependent irreversible changes of the main RR-active components of salmon meat, astaxanthin and myoglobin/haemoglobin. High pressure-treatment causes a decrease of the relative RR intensities of astaxanthin as probed with 514 nm excitation which is in line with a slight attenuation of the originally intense red colour of the salmon meat. 413-nm excited RR spectra indicate a heterogeneous broadening of astaxanthin bands accompanied by the formation of deoxy-myoglobin or deoxy-haemoglobin. The results suggest that pressure-treatment facilitates the oxidative degradation of astaxanthin coupled to the reduction of metmyoglobin (methaemoglobin).  相似文献

The mineralogy and solubility of air-pollution-control (APC) residues from a secondary lead (Pb) smelter have been studied on samples from the Príbram smelter, Czech Republic, recycling car batteries, with the emphasis on their potential environmental effect. The presence of dominant anglesite (PbSO4) and laurionite (Pb(OH)Cl) was observed in a sintered residue from after-burning chambers (800-1000 degrees C). In contrast, low-temperature Pb-bearing phases, such as KCl x 2PbCl2 and caracolite (Na3Pb2(SO4)3Cl), were detected in the major APC residue from bag-type fabric filters. Metallic elements, zinc (Zn), cadmium (Cd), and tin (Sn) were found homogeneously distributed within this residue. The formation of anglesite, cotunnite (PbCl2), (Zn,Cd)2SnO4, and (Sb,As)2O3 was observed during the sintering of this APC residue at 500 degrees C in a rotary furnace. The 168 h leaching test on filter residue, representing the fraction that may escape the flue gas treatment system, indicated rapid release of Pb and other contaminants. Caracolite and KCl x 2PbCl2 are significantly dissolved, and anglesite and cotunnite form the alteration products, as was confirmed by mineralogical analysis and PHREEQC-2 modeling. The observed Pb-bearing chlorides have significantly higher solubility than anglesite and, following emission from the smelter stack, can readily dissolve, transferring Pb into the environmental milieu (soils, water, inhabited areas).  相似文献

The aim of this work was to investigate the participation of the main bioactive compounds (caffeine, caffeic acid derivatives and rutin) on the antioxidant activity (DPPH free radical scavenging activity and the prevention of lipid peroxidation) of the crude extracts of Ilex paraguariensis. Green and commercial products were used to prepare aqueous extracts. The main bioactive compounds were identified and quantified by HPLC-DAD. The antioxidant activities of the pure compounds in the concentrations present in the extracts were also analyzed. Results demonstrated that chlorogenic acid, caffeic acid and rutin contribute to the antioxidant activity. On the contrary, caffeine induced lipid peroxidation of linoleic acid acting as a pro-oxidant compound.The caffeine content in the green extracts was lower when compared to the commercial extracts. The antioxidant and pro-oxidant antagonistic effects of the compounds in the amounts present in the extracts resulted in higher antioxidant potency of the green extracts when compared to the commercial ones, as demonstrated by the EC50 values and without affecting the maximum efficiency displayed by the extracts.  相似文献

Magnetron-based gas aggregation cluster source (GAS) was used to prepare high-purity CuO (cupric oxide) nanoclusters on top of sputter-deposited thin film of tungsten trioxide (WO3). The material was assembled as a conductometric hydrogen gas sensor and its response was tested and evaluated. It is demonstrated that addition of CuO clusters noticeably enhances the sensitivity of the pure WO3 thin film. With an increasing amount of CuO clusters the sensitivity of CuO/WO3 system rises further. When CuO clusters form a sufficiently thick and compact layer, the resistance response is reversed. Based on the sensorial behavior, conventional and near-ambient pressure X-Ray photoemission spectroscopies, and resistivity measurements, we propose that the sensing mechanism is based on the formation of nano-sized p-n junctions in between p-type CuO and n-type WO3. The advantages of the GAS technique for preparing sensorial and/or catalytically active materials are emphasized.  相似文献

Segmented polymer networks (SPNs) based on thermo-sensitive poly(N-isopropyl acryl amide) (PNIPAA) and poly(tetrahydrofuran) (PTHF) have been synthesized by free radical copolymerization of PTHF bis-macromonomers with N-isopropyl acrylamide. The nature of the polymerizable end group on the bis-macromonomer has been varied, respectively from acrylate to acrylamide end groups. The multiphase behaviour of the corresponding SPNs has been examined as a function of the nature of the end group by making use of solid-state 13C CP/MAS NMR relaxometry, 1H wideline NMR relaxometry and dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA). When PTHF with acrylate end groups was used during the SPN formation, analysis of proton spin-lattice relaxation times (T1H) and proton spin-lattice relaxation times in the rotating frame (T1ρH) revealed phase separation with domain sizes larger than 5 nm when the PTHF fraction exceeds 10 wt%. Only for lower PTHF-amounts, the SPNs were homogeneous on the nanometer scale. On the other hand, when PTHF with acrylamide end groups was used as macromolecular cross-linker, the NMR results showed the absence of any domain formation for SPNs with PTHF fractions up to 50 wt%. The major impact of the molecular design on the ultimate phase morphology of bicomponent polymer networks has been confirmed in all cases by DMA-analysis.  相似文献

The design of Ka-band satellite fade countermeasure (FCM) systems is conditioned by the detection/prediction algorithm to be included within practical DSP-based FCM controllers. It depends upon the ability of systems to efficiently integrate the dynamic and stochastic nature of the Ka-band fading process which is dominated by rain attenuation and amplitude scintillation. The paper analyzes the modeling and statistical performance of two predictive fade detection algorithms. Prediction is introduced as a way to minimize the impact of the finite response time on the BER/throughput of practical FCM systems. Both fixed (FDM) and variable (VDM) detection margin strategies are introduced and compared in terms of their margin requirements, FCM utilization factor, and channel capacity utilization. The VDM is shown to be more efficient than its fixed counterpart. The long-term BER availability and average user data throughput of a VDM/fixed-FEC/adaptive transmission rate FCM are then evaluated for a typical low-power low-rate Ka-band in-bound VSAT link  相似文献
