The objective of this study is to develop a new biocomposite material with high deformation ability. In this regard, the thermal, rheological, and thermophysical properties of this new composite were characterized as a function of temperature and filler concentration. High density polyethylene (HDPE) was the matrix of this new composite which was reinforced with six sawdust concentrations 0%, 20%, 30%, 40%, 50%, and 60%. Maleic anhydride grafted polyethylene (PE‐g‐MA) was used as coupling agent. Addition of sawdust with PE‐g‐MA increased significantly the complex viscosity, the storage modulus (G′), and loss modulus (G″) of the matrix. The superposition of the complex viscosity curves using temperature dependent shift factor, allowed the construction of a viscosity master curve covering a wide range of temperatures. Arrhenius law was used for the relationship of the shift factor to temperature. Furthermore, method of Van Gurp and Palmen (tan delta vs. G*) is also used to control the time–temperature superposition. The experimental results can be well fitted with the cross rheological model which allowed the prediction of the thermorheological properties of the composites over a broad frequency range. By increasing wood concentration, both the activation energy and relaxation time for the biocomposites determined using, respectively, the Arrhenius law and the cole–cole rule increased. The effect of a yoghurt supplement containing Bifidobacterium pseudocatenulatum G4 or Bifidobacterium longum BB536 on plasma lipids, lipid peroxidation and the faecal excretion of bile acids was examined in rats fed a cholesterol-enriched diet. After 8 weeks, the rats in the positive control (PC) group who were fed the cholesterol-enriched diet showed significant increases in plasma total cholesterol (TC), low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol, and malondialdehyde (MDA). However, groups fed a cholesterol-enriched diet supplemented with yoghurt containing B. pseudocatenulatum G4 or B. longum BB536 had significantly lower plasma TC, LDL-C, very-low-density lipoprotein (VLDL) cholesterol, and MDA than had the PC group after 8 weeks of treatment. In addition, faecal excretion of bile acids was markedly increased in the rats fed the yoghurt containing B. pseudocatenulatum G4 or B. longum BB536 as compared to the PC and NC groups. 相似文献

Enzymic saccharification of wheat straw in the absence of any pretreatment was only about 20 %. Acid hydrolysis did not improve the overall cellulose enzymic breakdown, nor did pretreatment by flash autohydrolysis under pressure or sodium chlorite delignification. When wheat straw was treated with N-methyl-morpholine-N-oxide (MMNO) at J20°C for 20–30 min, this treatment and subsequent enzymic hydrolysis produced carbohydrate conversion of 73%. Similar results could be obtained by treating straw with 0·1 M sodium hydroxide. When MMNO treatment was combined with any other pretreatment, the saccharification yield was greatly enhanced. Nearly quantitative conversion was obtained by swelling straw in 0·1 M sodium hydroxide followed by MMNO treatment. The results show that lignin content of plant material does not represent the limiting factor to enzymic saccharification. 相似文献

Liquid‐phase axial dispersion of turbulent gas–liquid co‐current flow through screen‐type static mixers 下载免费PDF全文
This article discusses the characteristics of turbulent gas–liquid flow through tubular reactors/contactors equipped with screen‐type static mixers from a macromixing perspective. The effect of changing the reactor configuration, and the operating conditions, were investigated by using four different screen geometries of varying mesh numbers. Residence time distribution experiments were conducted in the turbulent regime (4500 < Re < 29,000). Using a deconvolution technique, the RTD function was extracted to quantify the axial/longitudinal liquid‐phase dispersion coefficient. The findings highlight that axial dispersion increases with an increasing flow rate and/or gas‐phase volume fraction. However, regardless of the number and geometry of the mixing elements, reactor configuration, and/or operating conditions, the recorded liquid‐phase axial dispersion coefficients in the presence of screens was lower than that for an empty pipe. Reduction of the emissions of greenhouses gases, increasing the share of renewable energy sources (RES) in the energy balance, increasing electricity production from renewable energy sources and decreasing energy dependency represent the main goals of all current strategies in Europe. Biomass co-firing in large coal-based thermal power plants provides a considerable opportunity to increase the share of RES in the primary energy balance and the share of electricity from RES in gross electricity consumption in a country. Biomass-coal co-firing means reducing CO2 and SO2, emissions and it may also reduce NOx emissions, and also represents a near-term, low-risk, low-cost and sustainable energy development. Biomass-coal co-firing is the most effective measure to reduce CO2 emissions, because it substitutes coal, which has the most intensive CO2 emissions per kWh electricity production, by biomass, with a zero net emission of CO2. Biomass co-firing experience worldwide are reviewed in this paper. Biomass co-firing has been successfully demonstrated in over 150 installations worldwide for most combinations of fuels and boiler types in the range of 50–700 MWe, although a number of very small plants have also been involved. More than a hundred of these have been in Europe. A key indicator for the assessment of biomass co-firing is intrduced and used to evaluate all available biomass co-firing technologies. 相似文献

Research on performance management (PM) of networks and radical innovation has largely developed along two isolated paths. On the one hand, a growing body of knowledge addresses the use of performance management systems in the context of networks (notably for production and incremental innovation). On the other hand, radical innovation scholars have shown how innovation initiatives that are more uncertain demand the use of new approaches (e.g., new project management routines or different evaluative tools for portfolios). Some scholars even suggest that traditional PM may suppress radical innovation. Our study takes a different approach. It aims to bridge radical innovation and network performance management through a systematic review of the literature. Here, we adopt a hybrid approach that combines bibliometrics with content analysis. Whereas the literature often separates the issues of network performance management and radical innovation, our contribution expands the theory of network management and radical innovation by developing a conceptual framework based on these concepts, thus combining them. We also offer suggestions for further research on this approach. Our framework suggests that overall, the performance management of radical innovation networks presents different features (e.g., recursive rather than linear) and constructs (e.g., openness and unintended performance) from those of innovation network management. 相似文献

The aim of this study was to show that abundant and inexpensive plant oils can be biotransformed to increase biological activity (antioxidant, antimicrobial and cytotoxicity) through hydrolysis reaction catalysed by lipases. We tested homemade and commercial lipases through the biotransformation of nine different plant oils in forty different combinations. First, the chemical composition of the samples was investigated. Thereafter, biological tests were conducted to assess the antioxidant and antimicrobial activity of the sampled biotransformation products, as well as analyzed their influence on the viability of healthy and cancer cells. Summarising, sunflower, corn and olive oils modified by orange waste-obtained lipases presented the most promising results, reaching up to 90% of antioxidant activity increase and significant growth inhibition of bacteria colonies belonging to genera Escherichia, Listeria, Staphylococcus, Pseudomonas and Salmonella. In addition, those compounds affected human oral squamous carcinoma cells. The bioconversion of plant oils through lipases improves their biological properties and might be an option for biotechnological application. 相似文献

Shrimp residues were dried (65 °C), grounded, and posteriorly used as an ingredient to the production of ‘spiced shrimp flour’ and ‘shrimp flavoured biscuits’. Both products were packed in modified atmosphere (100% N2) and stored for 180 days (25 °C) for shelf life evaluation. The centesimal composition, physicochemical, microbiological and sensory analyses were carried out in triplicate. The microbiological analysis (residue and shrimp flour) was within the limits of the legislation, confirming the hygienic–sanitary care during processing. The protein content was the most outstanding (40.13% for the spiced shrimp flour and 20.52% for the shrimp flavoured biscuits). The microbiological evaluation for the ‘spiced shrimp flour’ and ‘shrimp flavoured biscuits’ was below the legal limit, and both products were accepted by sensory analysis. The shelf life evaluation demonstrated stability for 6 months. Thus, we concluded that the Litopenaeus vannamei shrimp residue is a promising ingredient in the food industry. 相似文献
