Anwendung des quantitativen Fernsehmikroskopes und der Elektronenstrahlmikrosonde für die Untersuchung des Systems Eisen—Kohlenstoff—Phosphor bei 900 bis 1000°C

Neue Wege, mit geringem Aufwand an Legierungen metallische Mehrstoffsysteme im festen Zustand zu untersuchen: 1. durch Mengenmessung der Phasen mit dem quantitativen Fernsehmikroskop und Errechnung der Sättigungskonzentrationen, 2. durch Ermittlung der Phasenzusammensetzung mit der Elektronenstrahlmikrosonde. Vergleich der herkömmlichen und neuen Verfahren. Untersuchung der Eisenecke des Systems Eisen–Phosphor–Kohlenstoff bei 900, 950 und 1000°C.     

Selengehalt von Milch und Milchpulver

Zusammenfassung Sowohl aus einer Literaturstudie als auch aus eigenen Untersuchungen ergab sich, daß der Selengehalt von Milch beträchtlichen Schwankungen unterliegt. Der Selengehalt von deutscher Milch (60 gefriergetrocknete Proben) lag zwischen 0,05 und 0,13 mg/kg, der von Magermilchpulver aus dem gesamten Bundesgebiet (27 Proben) zwischen 0,088 mg und 0,152 mg/kg. Bei der Trocknung von Magermilch durch Sprühoder Walzentrocknung wurden Selenverluste unter 5 % (4,3 bzw. 4,7 %) festgestellt. Das Selen ist fast ausschließlich an die Milchproteine gebunden, allein 74 % wurden im Casein wiedergefunden, 19 % an Globulin und Albumin.Auszug aus der Dissertation vonWolfgang Wigand: Bestimmung und Bedeutung des Seleneehaltes der Milch. A new spatiotemporal regularization approach for reconstruction of cardiac transmembrane potential patterns

The single-beat reconstruction of electrical cardiac sources from body-surface electrocardiogram data might become an important issue for clinical application. The feasibility and field of application of noninvasive imaging methods strongly depend on development of stable algorithms for solving the underlying ill-posed inverse problems. We propose a novel spatiotemporal regularization approach for the reconstruction of surface transmembrane potential (TMP) patterns. Regularization is achieved by imposing linearly formulated constraints on the solution in the spatial as well as in the temporal domain. In the spatial domain an operator similar to the surface Laplacian, weighted by a regularization parameter, is used. In the temporal domain monotonic nondecreasing behavior of the potential is presumed. This is formulated as side condition without the need of any regularization parameter. Compared to presuming template functions, the weaker temporal constraint widens the field of application because it enables the reconstruction of TMP patterns with ischemic and infarcted regions. Following the line of Tikhonov regularization, but considering all time points simultaneously, we obtain a linearly constrained sparse large-scale convex optimization problem solved by a fast interior point optimizer. We demonstrate the performance with simulations by comparing reconstructed TMP patterns with the underlying reference patterns.     

Business owners' action planning and its relationship to business success in three African countries.

A model of business success was developed with motivational resources (locus of control, self-efficacy, achievement motivation, and self-reported personal initiative) and cognitive resources (cognitive ability and human capital) as independent variables, business owners' elaborate and proactive planning as a mediator, and business size and growth as dependent variables. Three studies with a total of 408 African micro and small-scale business owners were conducted in South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia. Structural equation analyses partially supported the hypotheses on the importance of psychological planning by the business owners. Elaborate and proactive planning was substantially related to business size and to an external evaluation of business success and was a (partial) mediator for the relationship between cognitive resources and business success.
