Statistical Analysis of High-Resolution SAR Ground Clutter Data   总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4  
This paper deals with the problem of modeling high-resolution synthetic aperture radar clutter data from different vegetated areas. We analyzed moving and stationary target recognition (MSTAR) data sets focusing on histograms, moments, and covariance of clutter amplitude, texture, and speckle. The most celebrated statistical models are tested on real data of grass field or wood and trees to validate the goodness of fit of the compound Gaussian model in different scenarios. The results demonstrate that for grass fields, the compound Gaussian model provides a good data fitting. This is not the case for woods images where the speckle is not more Gaussian distributed. Covariance analysis and concluding remarks complete this paper  相似文献

Our starting point is a definition of conditional event EH which differs from many seemingly similar ones adopted in the relevant literature since 1935, starting with de Finetti. In fact, if we do not assign the same third value u (undetermined) to all conditional events, but make it depend on EH, it turns out that this function t(EH) can be taken as a general conditional uncertainty measure, and we get (through a suitable – in a sense, compulsory – choice of the relevant operations among conditional events) the natural axioms for many different (besides probability) conditional measures.  相似文献

The present paper reports the design of a SAW filter bank consisting of 26 linear phase filters with bandwidths ranging from 60 to 2180 kHz, 0·5/40 dB transition width narrower than 30 kHz and stopband rejection as high as possible. Passbank amplitude and phase ripple limits are 1 dB and 4° peak-to-peak respectively. Three candidate filters of bandwidth 60 kHz, 400 kHz and 2·180 MHz were selected for detailed design, taking into account spurious effects such as acoustic regeneration and diffraction as well as technology limits. Since the physical length of a SAW filter—as any transversal (FIR) filter—is determined by (i) the required passband amplitude ripple, (ii) the stopband rejection level and (iii) the transition width, the steepness of the required passband-to-stop band transitions in these filters dictates their physical size to be unusually large, resulting in an overall size for each packaged filter of 360 × 38 × 17 mm, i.e. 14·2 × 1·5 × 0·7 inches. The electrical specifications are met by all but the 2180 kHz filter, whose shape factor, for a 30 kHz transition band, would be 1·027 : 1, beyond the state of the art. The filter bank has about 27 dB insertion loss per filter, plus roughly 14 dB (1 : 26) power split loss.  相似文献

To compare the effects of a potent rat renin inhibitor peptide (RIP) and angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor on the intrarenal and plasma renin-angiotensin systems, anesthetized Sprague-Dawley rats were treated with an infusion of vehicle, ramipril or graded doses of the rat RIP (acetyl-His-Pro-Phe-Val-statine-Leu-he-NH2) for 30 min. Kidney and plasma samples were processed rapidly, and angiotensin peptides were separated by high-pressure liquid chromatography before measurement by a double-antibody radioimmunoassay. Blood pressure fell identically, by approximately 15 mm Hg, after either the RIP or ACE inhibitor. Plasma Ang II was 83 +/- 20 fmol/ml in vehicle-treated rats and fell to 28 +/- 3 fmol/ml with ramipril (10 mg/kg), the dose-response zenith. Plasma Ang II was significantly lower, 9 +/- 2 fmol/ml, with the highest RIP dose used. Control renal tissue Ang II was 183 +/- 18 fmol/g, fell with ramipril to 56 +/- 6 and then fell to a similar level (47 +/- 10 fmol/g) after RIP. Ang I/Ang II ratios indicated the expected sharp drop in Ang I conversion after ramipril in plasma and tissue. RIP did not influence conversion rate in plasma but was associated with an unanticipated fall in Ang I conversion in renal tissue, perhaps reflecting local aspartyl protease inhibition, which contributes to normal Ang II formation. Also unanticipated was a rise in tissue Ang I concentration during RIP administration. Renin inhibition is more effective than ACE inhibition in blocking systemic Ang II formation, supporting studies suggesting that quantitatively important non-ACE-dependent pathways participate in Ang II formation.  相似文献

Human aquaporin-1 (AQP1) is the most studied member of the aquaporin family, acting as molecular water channel. It is also considered a differentiation marker for proximal renal tubular cells, from which clear cells renal cell carcinoma (RCC) originates, playing an important role in urine formation. We therefore studied AQP1 expression at the proteomic level in RCC and normal tissues, mainly focusing on microdomain-enriched membranes in which AQP1 is highly concentrated. Subcellular fractions were prepared through differential centrifugation, and microdomain-enriched fractions were purified from a plasma membrane-enriched fraction by 1% Triton X-100 treatment followed by ultracentrifugation in sucrose gradient. After SDS-PAGE and Western blot analyses with antibodies against AQP1, lower expression levels of AQP1 isoforms were observed in each subcellular fraction of RCC compared to fractions from normal kidney tissues. The presence of AQP1 in the immunoreactive bands was verified by MALDI-TOF-MS and LC-ESI-MS/MS analysis. Glycosylation of AQP1 was also investigated using N-glycosidase F, confirming the presence of a N-glycosylated isoform of AQP1 in the 35-45-kDa region. These results highlight an under-expression of AQP1 protein and its glycosylated isoforms in homogenate and subcellular fraction obtained from RCC tissue compared to adjacent normal cortex.  相似文献

While many studies have suggested that techno-stressors lead to employee distress, much less is known regarding the organizational climate variables that can influence how employees experience techno-stress. We theorize that (1) leadership and competitive climates in organizational units can contribute, in addition to the existence of techno-stressors, to the stress employee experience, (2) such climate variables also serve as regulators that moderate the translation of techno-stressors into stress, and (3) this stress increases work exhaustion. The proposed model was tested in two studies/cases (n1 = 175 state government employees in the US, n2 = 178 IT professionals from Italian firms), each focusing on one climate facet (leadership and competitive climates, correspondingly). The findings suggest that high leadership climate and low competitive climate prevent the translation of techno-stressors into distress, and can serve as buffers for reducing adverse organizational consequences of techno-stressors.  相似文献

Though scheduling problems have been largely investigated by literature over the last 50 years, this topic still influences the research activity of many experts and practitioners, especially due to a series of studies which recently emphasized the closeness between theory and industrial practice. In this paper the scheduling problem of a hybrid flow shop with m stages, inspired to a truly observed micro-electronics manufacturing environment, has been investigated. Overlap between jobs of the same type, waiting time limit of jobs within inter-stage buffers as well as machine unavailability time intervals represent just a part of the constraints which characterize the problem here investigated. A mixed integer linear programming model of the problem in hand has been developed with the aim to validate the performance concerning the proposed optimization technique, based on a two-phase metaheuristics (MEs). In the first phase the proposed ME algorithm evolves similarly to a genetic algorithm equipped with a regular permutation encoding. Subsequently, since the permutation encoding is not able to investigate the overall space of solutions, a random search algorithm equipped with an m-stage permutation encoding is launched for improving the algorithm strength in terms of both exploration and exploitation. Extensive numerical studies on a benchmark of problems, along with a properly arranged ANOVA analysis, demonstrate the statistical outperformance of the proposed approach with respect to the traditional optimization approach based on a single encoding. Finally, a comprehensive comparative analysis involving the proposed algorithm and several metaheuristics developed by literature demonstrated the effectiveness of the dual encoding based approach for solving HFS scheduling problems.  相似文献

Nowadays home automation, with its increased availability, reliability and with its ever reducing costs is gaining momentum and is starting to become a viable solution for enabling people with disabilities to autonomously interact with their homes and to better communicate with other people. However, especially for people with severe mobility impairments, there is still a lack of tools and interfaces for effective control and interaction with home automation systems, and general-purpose solutions are seldom applicable due to the complexity, asynchronicity, time dependent behavior, and safety concerns typical of the home environment. This paper focuses on user-environment interfaces based on the eye tracking technology, which often is the only viable interaction modality for users as such. We propose an eye-based interface tackling the specific requirements of smart environments, already outlined in a public Recommendation issued by the COGAIN European Network of Excellence. The proposed interface has been implemented as a software prototype based on the ETU universal driver, thus being potentially able to run on a variety of eye trackers, and it is compatible with a wide set of smart home technologies, handled by the Domotic OSGi Gateway. A first interface evaluation, with user testing sessions, has been carried and results show that the interface is quite effective and usable without discomfort by people with almost regular eye movement control.  相似文献

Fusion cages composed of titanium and its alloys are emerging as valuable alternative to standard polyetheretherketone (PEEK) ones routinely used in cervical and lumbar spine surgery. Aim of this study was to evaluate osteo-inductive and osteo-conductive ability of an innovative trabecular titanium (T-Ti) scaffold on human mesenchymal stem cells (hMSCs), in both absence and presence of biochemical osteogenic stimuli. Same abilities were assessed on PEEK and standard 2D plastic surface, the latter meant as gold-standard for in vitro differentiation studies. hMSCs adhered and colonized both T-Ti and PEEK scaffolds. In absence of osteogenic factors, T-Ti triggered osteogenic induction of MSCs, as demonstrated by alkaline phosphatase activity and calcium deposition increments, while PEEK and standard 2D did not. Addition of osteogenic stimuli reinforced osteogenic differentiation of hMSCs cultured on T-Ti in a significantly higher manner with respect to standard 2D plastic culture surfaces, whereas PEEK almost completely abolished the process. T-Ti driven differentiation towards osteoblasts was confirmed by gene and marker expression analyses, even in absence of osteogenic stimuli. These results clearly indicate superior in vitro osteo-inductive and osteo-conductive capacity of T-Ti compared to PEEK, and make ground for further studies supporting the use of T-Ti cages to improve bone fusion.  相似文献
