A psychrotolerant bacteria of the Bacillus cereus group was found responsible for the spoilage of whole liquid egg products. By sequencing a 16S rRNA region and performing a PCR amplification of specific 16S rRNA and cspA signatures, a Bacillus weihenstephanensis was identified. Characterization of this strain shows its ability to grow in defined medium as well as in whole liquid egg at refrigerated temperatures. The strain isolated possesses genes encoding for hemolysin BL, nonhemolytic enterotoxin, and B. cereus enterotoxins and produces enterotoxins with cytotoxic activity in whole liquid egg, even at refrigerated temperatures. The isolate exhibits a clear ability to stick and form biofilms on stainless steel, the most common material used in egg breaking factories, as well as on model hydrophilic (glass) and hydrophobic (polytetrafluoroethylene) materials. These findings show the necessity to monitor for Bacillus contamination in egg products that are often used in the composition of particularly susceptible finished products such as cream, dessert, dairy, meat, and seafood.  相似文献

The wedge test is of considerable use for evaluating adhesion between two bonded rigid substrates. In its (usual) static form, release of elastic strain energy is equated to effective adhesion energy during crack growth. However, the test is usually treated as two-dimensional. In fact, it is really three-dimensional due to anticlastic bending effects of the bent beam(s) during crack propagation.

We studied a composite material/epoxy/aluminium alloy system and observed a curved crack front during propagation. This leads to doubt as to the value of crack length to be inserted in the adhesion energy formula. In addition, by using the highly sensitive technique of speckle interferometry, it was possible to study anticlastic bending effects in a quantitative manner. Far from the crack front, agreement between theory and experimental is good, yet work remains to be done to understand the zone near the fracture zone.  相似文献

Preheating induced sensitization has been commonly studied in the frame of SDT but a complete analysis in terms of pyrotechnic safety needs to take into account other kinds of stimuli like “moderate” mechanical ones (crushing, drops…︁), new thermal fluxes or combined insults. Owing to quantum confinement, low‐dimensional hybrid perovskite materials have recently shown a great potential for applications in optoelectronics. Such compounds can exhibit broad‐ or narrow‐band light emission, low‐temperature solution processability, high thermal stability, and relatively high photoluminescence quantum yields (PLQY). However, the search for efficient phosphors with a specific set of characteristics remains difficult because the family of hybrid perovskites consists in an extremely large chemical system (i.e., different halides, metals, and organic molecules), and optical properties are not predictable prior to material synthesis and characterization. Here, is proposed a simple approach to screen a significant amount of new hybrid lead halide perovskites. The synthetic method by fast crystallization at low temperature enables the rapid identification of the materials exhibiting the targeted photoluminescence properties. This approach is tested for the discovery of hybrid lead halide perovskites with efficient white‐light emission. Among 100 newly synthesized compounds, 5 exhibit intense white emission, and the in‐depth characterization of a selected candidate shows high color rendering index (CRI) = 78 and a PLQY of 9%, which is equivalent to the record reported for hybrid perovskites. This compound exhibits a new structure type for warm white‐light emitting hybrid perovskites with chains of corner‐sharing PbX6.  相似文献

The ability of muscles from Glut 4-null mice to take up and metabolize glucose has been studied in the isolated white EDL and red soleus muscles. In EDL muscles from male or female Glut 4-null mice, basal deoxyglucose uptake was lower than in control muscles and was not stimulated by insulin. In parallel, glycogen synthesis and content were decreased. Soleus muscles from male Glut 4-null mice took up twice more deoxyglucose in the absence of insulin than control muscles, but did not respond to insulin. In females, soleus deoxyglucose uptake measured in the absence of hormone was similar in Glut 4-null mice and in control mice. This uptake was stimulated twofold in Glut 4-null mice and threefold in control mice. Basal glycogen synthesis was increased by 4- and 2.2-fold in male and female null mice, respectively, compared to controls, and insulin had no or small (20% stimulation over basal) effect. These results indicate that while EDL muscles behaved as expected, soleus muscles were able to take up a large amount of glucose in the absence (males) or the presence of insulin (females). Whether this is due to a change in Glut 1 intrinsic activity or targeting and/or to the appearance of another glucose transporter remains to be determined.  相似文献

The electrocatalytic properties of thin Co3O4 and NiCo2O4 films prepared on CdO-nonconductive glass by the method of chemical spray pyrolysis were investigated for oxygen evolution in varying KOH concentrations. The Tafel slopes were close to (2.3RT/F) V per decade for both oxides. The reaction order with respect to [OH] was found to be approximately 1.3. It was observed that Co3O4 is more active than NiCo2O4 towards oxygen evolution. A mechanism for oxygen evolution involving the electrochemical adsorption of OH as a fast step and the electrochemical desorption of OH forming an intermediate H2O2 as the rate-determining step has been suggested.  相似文献

Because of their method of preparation, ceramics contain point defects, the concentration of which may vary from the center to the boundary of the grains, which may change the bulk properties of the material. The electronic structure of the oxygen-related defects has been studied by electron spectroscopy in yttria ceramics submitted to various heating conditions under controlled atmospheres. The differences in the mechanical and electrical behaviors are observed to correlate with the defect content.  相似文献
