STM tips made from antiferromagnetic MnNi have been used to investigate the atomic structure of the (001) and (111) surfaces of Fe3O4. The clean (001) surface displays a ( radical2 x radical2)R45 degrees superlattice, which is attributed to charge-ordering on the surface, where Fe(2+)-Fe2+ and Fe(3+)-Fe3+ dimers can be discriminated. The oxygen-terminated (111) surface is characterized by a hexagonal superlattice with a periodicity of 42 A. Oxygen vacancies are observed in atomically resolved images of this superlattice. In the presence of an external magnetic field of 60 mT, a significant change in the atomic corrugation in the topmost oxygen layer around each of these defects is observed. The results on both (001) and (111) surfaces are discussed in terms of possible spin-polarized effects.  相似文献

By reacting a stoichiometric amount of BPM or Me2BPM (BPM = bis(pyrazol-1-yl)methane, Me2BPM = bis(3,5-dimethylpyrazol-1-yl)methane) with Pd(OAc)2 (OAc = acetate) in CH2Cl2, the new neutral complexes [Pd(OAc)2(BPM)] (1) and [Pd(OAc)2(Me2BPM)] (1Me) were isolated and characterized by NMR and IR spectroscopy. Acidolysis of one Pd-OAc bond of compound 1 by using aqueous perchloric acid in methanol led to the formation of the stable cationic aqua-complex [Pd(OAc)(H2O)(BPM)](ClO4) (2-ClO4). The [Pd(OAc)(H2O)(BPM)]+ cation was obtained also by reacting 1 with trifluoromethanesulfonic acid. NMR studies on inter- and intra-molecular hydrogen bonding of the aqua-ligand have been carried out and the data obtained have been interpreted on the basis of the results of DFT calculations.  相似文献

This paper proposes an ant colony optimisation-based software system for solving FMS scheduling in a job-shop environment with routing flexibility, sequence-dependent setup and transportation time. In particular, the optimisation problem for a real environment, including parallel machines and operation lag times, has been approached by means of an effective pheromone trail coding and tailored ant colony operators for improving solution quality. The method used to tune the system parameters is also described. The algorithm has been tested by using standard benchmarks and problems, properly designed for a typical FMS layout. The effectiveness of the proposed system has been verified in comparison with alternative approaches.  相似文献

DNA from epidermal cells attached to the adhesive tape of stubs employed to collect and identify gunshot residue (GSR) with scanning electron microscope (SEM) was extracted, amplified with PCR and typed. The method allowed identification of specimens when attribution to a definite person was uncertain. These results also suggest that adhesive tape could be used as a non invasive method for obtaining biological material suitable for DNA analysis from the skin surface.  相似文献

Embracing renewable energy technology makes a lot of sense for the public sectors and schools as it meets the government sustainability goals and provides a financially viable means of achieving carbon savings while offering income potential. This study is aimed to quantify the achievable energy saving by spread use ofphotovoltaic systems on public building stock in the city of Rome. The installation of PV (photovoltaic) systems in the historic center depends on the feasibility conditions, generally more complex compared to the cases examined in the consolidated city, because they require compliance with the formal and aesthetic characteristics of the buildings, so the choice must be made between compatible components, which allow to minimize the transformation. The suburbs are characterized by large plane roofs in bad conditions and belonging to isolated buildings, so the useful surface, according to shading condition, offers a big potential for renewable technologies. The research provides an evaluation of maximum production of solar energy and the subsequent energy saving and reduction of greenhouse gasses, using parametric data, and an evaluation of the cost-effectiveness, with a rough calculation of return on investment.  相似文献

Spontaneous organic cocoa bean box fermentations were carried out on two different farms in Brazil. Physical parameters, microbial growth, bacterial species diversity [mainly lactic acid bacteria (LAB) and acetic acid bacteria (AAB)], and metabolite kinetics were monitored, and chocolates were produced from the fermented dry cocoa beans. The main end-products of the catabolism of the pulp substrates (glucose, fructose, and citric acid) by yeasts, LAB, and AAB were ethanol, lactic acid, mannitol, and/or acetic acid. Lactobacillus fermentum and Acetobacter pasteurianus were the predominating bacterial species of the fermentations as revealed through (GTG)5-PCR fingerprinting of isolates and PCR-DGGE of 16S rRNA gene PCR amplicons of DNA directly extracted from fermentation samples. Fructobacillus pseudoficulneus, Lactobacillus plantarum, and Acetobacter senegalensis were among the prevailing species during the initial phase of the fermentations. Also, three novel LAB species were found. This study emphasized the possible participation of Enterobacteriaceae in the cocoa bean fermentation process. Tatumella ptyseos and Tatumella citrea were the prevailing enterobacterial species in the beginning of the fermentations as revealed by 16S rRNA gene-PCR-DGGE. Finally, it turned out that control over a restricted bacterial species diversity during fermentation through an ideal post-harvest handling of the cocoa beans will allow the production of high-quality cocoa and chocolates produced thereof, independent of the fermentation method or farm.  相似文献

The assessment of existing reinforced concrete (RC) structures, especially, bridges and viaducts, nowadays is one of the most relevant aspects for infrastructural engineers. Due to the old age of a large part of the railways and roadways assets, their safety, especially, with respect to the Ultimate Limit States (ULS) may result compromised. Safety assessment can be performed following different approaches as well as the most sophisticated methodologies based on the application of safety formats for non-linear finite element (FE) analyses. This study presents the safety assessment at the ULS of existing prestressed RC bridge decks regarding bending moment and axial force failure mechanism adopting different methodologies. Specifically, the safety assessment will be performed through five different approaches (i.e., Courbon theory, elastic FE analysis, and NLFEAs according to the three global safety formats). The decks are modeled using, first, Courbon theory and then, girder FE model composed only of beam elements. The safety assessment is performed by comparing the design resisting moment and design acting moment in the section of interest, therefore, through a local approach. Within the local approach, design values are calculated using the partial safety factors. Afterwards, the decks are modeled with a 3D non-linear FE model. Three different global safety formats are implemented within a global approach. The application of the different approaches leads to significantly different conclusions about the safety assessment. The two local approaches are the most conservative, therefore, lead to a lower safety margin. The application of global approaches based on global safety formats leads to a safety margin gain compared to local approaches, with significant variability in terms of safety margin gain depending on the specific global safety format.  相似文献
