Electric-driven heat pumps are one of the most encouraging systems that could support the raising of renewables contribution in civil sector energy consumption, especially with reference to the Countries with a high contribution of renewable energy sources in electricity generation mix. However, the evaluation of the effective energy and environmental performance of an electric heat pump meeting the space heating and cooling requests of a building has to consider several factors that affect the results. Among them great attention should be given to the variability of weather conditions in which the system operates, the changeability of the efficiency and environmental indicators of power grid. The analysis becomes more complex if the variation of these parameters is considered in terms of time and geographic location but it leads to the actual evaluation of the energy conversion system performance that is neglected by European Regulations. This paper presents an energy and environmental analysis of an electric-driven air-source heat pump providing the space heating and cooling needs of the same building located in two different geographical locations by means of a dynamic simulation performed in TRNSYS 17. The analysis is carried out considering the average and time-dependent values of the carbon dioxide emission factors for electricity and the power grid efficiency indicators evaluated by means of the real electricity generation data. In addition, the paper proposes the evaluation of the average and hourly energy and environmental parameters referred only to the electricity market zones in which the buildings are located. These indices are considered in the analysis too. The results have highlighted that the assessment based on average and high-resolution parameters, as well the evaluation based on indicators referred to electricity market zones only, could return very different outcomes leading to a significant overestimation or underestimation of the energy and environmental performance of the system based on the electric-driven heat pump. Finally, a further analysis has been carried out to determine how the results can vary considering the average value of the electric efficiency indicator suggested by Italian Regulations and that of other European Countries.  相似文献

PPy was synthesised by oxidative chemical polymerisation using xylan, CMC and NFC as additives. Conducting nanocomposite films were cast from aqueous slurries using doped PPy particles, CMC and NFC as the conducting and reinforcing phase, respectively. NFC‐based composites had higher conductivity and lower mechanical properties than CMC‐based homologues. SEM analysis showed that in PPy/NFC composites, PPy and NFC were arranged in two entangled networks, whereas, in PPy/NFC composites, CMC formed a continuous matrix around PPy particles, thus limiting conductivity. Mechanical properties of nanocomposite films were interpreted as reflecting the presence of different structures when using NFC or CMC as reinforcing phase.

This work proposes a cross‐correlation‐based trans‐impedance amplifier for current noise measurements in the low‐frequency range. The proposed solution is compared with the classical cross‐correlation trans‐impedance amplifier showing a lower background noise. Furthermore, a three‐step measurement method, based on the new trans‐impedance amplifier, is proposed to cancel the residual background noise. Abstract: New methods are emerging in the material characterisation field with the aim of exploiting innovative full‐field strain measurement techniques. Besides experimental issues, also numerical procedures for inverse problems should adapt to a new philosophy: the large amount of data referred to local strains should be used in an appropriate way to obtain as much benefits as possible. In this context, an experimental and numerical procedure for the characterisation of hyperelastic materials is proposed. Planar tension tests have been performed on flat rubber specimens of different geometries. Strain maps obtained by means of a 2D Digital Image Correlation system are used to implement the virtual fields method, to estimate material dependent parameters of two of the most known hyperelastic constitutive laws: Ogden and 2nd order Mooney‐Rivlin models. Numerical results and comparisons with experimental data are shown, analysing also aspects concerning implementation of the numerical procedures and computational efficiency of the algorithms.  相似文献

The properties of various numerical methods for the study of the perturbed sine-Gordon (sG) equation with impulsive forcing are investigated. In particular, finite difference and pseudo-spectral methods for discretizing the equation are considered. Different methods of discretizing the Dirac delta are discussed. Various combinations of these methods are then used to model the soliton–defect interaction. A comprehensive study of convergence of all these combinations is presented. Detailed explanations are provided of various numerical issues that should be carefully considered when the sG equation with impulsive forcing is solved numerically. The properties of each method depend heavily on the specific representation chosen for the Dirac delta—and vice versa. Useful comparisons are provided that can be used for the design of the numerical scheme to study the singularly perturbed sG equation. Some interesting results are found. For example, the Gaussian approximation yields the worst results, while the domain decomposition method yields the best results, for both finite difference and spectral methods. These findings are corroborated by extensive numerical simulations.  相似文献

The temperature influence on both DC and RF performance of advanced silicon–germanium heterojunction bipolar transistors is analyzed in the temperature range from 300 to 380 K over different technological nodes. Accurate results are obtained by simulating increasingly scaled transistors through a deterministic solver of the Boltzmann Transport Equation based on the spherical harmonics expansion of the distribution function. In particular, the impact of scaling on the key performance metrics is quantified by determining the DC current gain and cut-off frequency, as well as estimating the junction temperature rise at the current corresponding to the maximum cut-off frequency. It is shown that in scaled devices the electrical behavior is less temperature sensitive, which is desirable for high-speed and high-density integrated circuit applications. Furthermore, it is found that the power reduction due to lateral scaling might weaken self-heating effects, which should be in principle exacerbated by the higher current densities and thermal resistances.  相似文献

This study analyzed the newly formed bone tissue after application of recombinant human BMP-2 (rhBMP-2) and P-1 (extracted from Hevea brasiliensis) proteins, 2 weeks after the creation of a critical bone defect in male Wistar rats treated or not with a low-intensity laser (GaAlAs 780 nm, 60 mW of power, and energy density dose of 30 J/cm(2)). The animals were divided into two major groups: (1) bone defect plus low-intensity laser treatment and (2) bone defect without laser irradiation. The following subgroups were also analyzed: (a) 5 μg of pure rhBMP-2; (b) 5 μg of pure P-1 fraction; (c) 5 μg of rhBMP-2/monoolein gel; (d) 5 μg of P-1 fraction/monoolein gel; (e) pure monoolein gel. Comparisons of the groups receiving laser treatment with those that did not receive laser irradiation show differences in the areas of new bone tissue. The group treated with 5 μg of rhBMP-2 and laser irradiation was not significantly different (P >0.05) than the nonirradiated group that received the same treatment. The irradiated, rhBMP-2/monoolein gel treatment group showed a lower area of bone formation than the nonirradiated, rhBMP-2/gel monoolein treatment group (P < 0.001). The area of new bone tissue in the other nonirradiated and irradiated groups was not significantly different (P > 0.05). Furthermore, the group that received the 5 μg of rhBMP-2 application showed the greatest bone formation. We conclude that the laser treatment did not interfere with the area of new bone tissue growth and that the greatest stimulus for bone formation involved application of the rhBMP-2 protein.  相似文献

Abstract A total of 140 homes in the Po River Delta area of North Italy (near Venice) were monitored during summer and winter to measure the concentration of nitrogen dioxide (NO2), and respirable suspended particulate matter (RSP, ≤ 2.5 μm). In this paper, the findings on home characteristics, daily activity pattern of occupants, and residential indoor air quality are described. Our study confirms that people spend the greater part of their daily lives indoors (84%), especially at home (64%). The concentration of monitored pollutants was greater in winter than in summer. The highest levels of NO2 were found in the kitchens. Significantly higher indoor NO2 levels were found in the houses with gas-furnace heating and/or with gas water heater located inside the home. RSP was significantly higher in homes where tobacco smoking took place, and was significantly related to the number of cigarettes smoked. A significant relationship between NO2 indoor concentrations and RSP values in both seasons was found.  相似文献
