Spinal arteriovenous malformations are uncommon disorders associated with considerable difficulty in diagnosis and treatment. They are divided into dural arteriovenous fistulas and intradural medullary spinal cord angiomas. In this retrospective series of six patients the clinical outcome of embolization is presented. The patient material consisted of three dural fistulas and three cord angiomas, one of which bled causing sudden paresis, pain and incontinence. In the remaining five patients the symptoms were progressive consisting of paraesthaesias, paraparesis, pain and incontinence. The clinical status of four patients was not changed after the treatment, one deterioriated and one improved. There were no bleedings after the therapy. In one patient spinal angiography for follow-up was performed and recanalization was seen in the dural fistula after particle embolization. Also, in one cord angioma embolized with particles reflow appeared in the immediately repeated angiography. For permanent angioma occlusion tissue adhesive is preferred as embolic material. Surgical therapy as an alternative or adjuvant to embolization is discussed with a review of the literature. Early timing of the therapeutic intervention is stressed to avoid the development of irreversible ischaemic medullopathy and to prevent haemorrhage. The therapeutic procedures at the early stage of the disease may be curable or, at least, halt the progression of the symptoms. Cross-sectional imaging studies and myelographies may reveal the lesion. For the definitive diagnosis of spinal angioma with its vascular feeders and for the evaluation of its occlusion grade after the therapy selective spinal angiography is needed.  相似文献

Electrodeposition and redox switching performance of polypyrrole in aqueous solution of sodium hexafluoroaluminate are described. An incorporation of NaAlF62− into the polymer phase is indicated by the EQCM analysis of electrodeposition. A SEM micrograph shows a characteristic morphology of the polymer layer. A mechanism of the redox process of polypyrrole is discussed based on CV and EQCM results involving the measurements performed as a function of a time scale of the redox cycle and a life time of the electrode. Structure determining interactions between polymer sites and counterions are indicated. Participations of ion-pair counterion, co-ion, salt, water, oxygen in the redox process of polypyrrole are discussed. A slow irreversible rearrangement in the structure/composition, inducing a change in the mechanism of the reversible redox process, is postulated to occur during the reduction process of the virgin anion-exchanging polypyrrole. Long time scale processes were observed to result in cation exchange properties accompanied by a substantial decrease in redox activity and/or CV currents of the polypyrrole electrode. The performance of the primary hexafluoroaluminate counterion electrode, prepared in aqueous solution of sodium hexafluoroaluminate, is compared to the secondary hexafluoroaluminate counterion electrode, prepared in a presence of the sodium chloride solution. In general, the CV and EQCM characteristics of the two system are similar due to pronounced contribution of the bathing electrolyte to the performance of the polymer electrode.  相似文献

The performance of 2D biaxially and triaxially reinforced braided carbon fibre composites under dynamic loading is evaluated in the presented study. The accurate manufacturing of tensile specimen made of braided sleeves is explained particularly with regard to efficiency and reproducibility. In order to determine reliable strain rate dependent properties, the high-speed testing procedure is discussed. Using five materials, the parameter identification is described and relevant material data is provided. The measured stiffnesses and strengths are used to predict the non-linear stress-strain behaviour with an earlier proposed phenomenological damage model for textile composites. The gained orthotropic property-profile provides the input parameters for a numerical analysis of braided composite components using the calibrated model.  相似文献

The aim of this study is to evaluate the modelling of machining vibrations of thin-walled aluminium workpieces at high productivity rate. The use of numerical simulation is generally aimed at giving optimal cutting conditions for the precision and the surface finish needed. The proposed modelling includes all the ingredients needed for real productive machining of thin-walled parts. It has been tested with a specially designed machining test with high cutting engagement and taking into account all the phenomena involved in the dynamics of cutting. The system has been modelled using several simulation techniques. On the one hand, the milling process was modelled using a dynamic mechanistic model, with time domain simulation. On the other hand, the dynamic parameters of the system were obtained step by step by finite element analysis; thus the variation due to metal removal and the cutting edge position has been accurately taken into account. The results of the simulations were compared to those of the experiments; the discussion is based on the analysis of the cutting forces, the amplitude and the frequency of the vibrations evaluating the presence of chatter. The specific difficulties to perfect simulation of thin-walled workpiece chatter have been finely analysed.  相似文献
