This study analyzed the effects of different concentrations of flaxseed oil (FO) on the proximate composition and the contents of alpha-linolenic acid (LNA, 18:3n-3), eicosapentaenoic (EPA, 20:5n-3), and docosahexaenoic (DHA, 22:6n-3) fatty acids in the liver of cultured Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus). During the five-month culture period, tilapias were given diets with incremental concentrations of FO (0.00%; 1.25%; 2.50%; 3.75%, and 5.00%) as a replacement of sunflower oil (control). There was no significant difference in moisture and ash content in the liver between treatments. Protein values ranged from 12.1% (treatment II) to 13.9% (treatment V) and total lipids ranged from 5.6% (treatment V) to 7.2% (treatment II). There was no significant difference between most treatments. Fatty acid methyl esters (FAMEs) were quantitatively analyzed by capillary gas chromatography against a C(23:0), internal standard. Variations in concentrations (in mg g(-1) of total lipids) of fatty acids between treatment I and treatment V ranged from 4.2 to 51.2 (LNA), from 0.2 to 2.3 (EPA), and from 10.6 to 56.2 (DHA), respectively. This experiment demonstrated that increasing amounts of LNA in feed may markedly increase the amounts of LNA, EPA, and DHA in the liver of Nile tilapia. 相似文献

We study the dynamics of a generic vector field in the neighbourhood of a heteroclinic cycle of non-trivial periodic solutions whose invariant manifolds meet transversely. The main result is the existence of chaotic double cycling: there are trajectories that follow the cycle making any prescribed number of turns near the periodic solutions, for any given bi-infinite sequence of turns. Using symbolic dynamics, arbitrarily close to the cycle, we find a robust and transitive set of initial conditions whose trajectories follow the cycle for all time and that is conjugate to a Markov shift over a finite alphabet. This conjugacy allows us to prove the existence of infinitely many heteroclinic and homoclinic subsidiary connections, which give rise to a heteroclinic network with infinitely many cycles and chaotic dynamics near them, exhibiting themselves switching and cycling. We construct an example of a vector field with Z 3 symmetry in a five-dimensional sphere with a heteroclinic cycle having this property. 相似文献

A model is described which generates synthetic daily sequences of hourly radiation values, on the horizontal plane, for any location, with the daily clearness index Kt as input. The model assumes that for each Kt and solar hour the probability density of the hourly clearness index kt is (simply) a truncated Gaussian function. A first-order autoregressive model is fitted for the kt variable, normalised using parametrisations for the time-dependent average and standard deviation values. Values generated by this ARMA (1,0) model can then be transformed backwards to generate synthetic sequances of kt values. Using a diffuse fraction correlation and a tilted radiation model, the horizontal global data can be transformed to any desired plane, thus providing solar system designers with the necessary hourly data for the accurate sizing of every type of solar system, including stand-alone, high solar fraction and passive ones. 相似文献

A feasibility study and techno-economic analysis for a hybrid power system intended for vehicular traction applications has been performed. The hybrid consists of an intermediate temperature solid oxide fuel cell (IT-SOFC) operating at 500–800 °C and a sodium–nickel chloride (ZEBRA) battery operating at 300 °C. Such a hybrid system has the benefits of extended range and fuel flexibility (due to the IT-SOFC), high power output and rapid response time (due to the battery). The above hybrid has been compared to a fuel cell-only, a battery-only and an ICE vehicle. It is shown that the capital cost associated with a fuel cell-only vehicle is still much higher than that of any other power source option and that a battery-only option would potentially encounter weight and volume limitations, particularly for long drive times. It is concluded that increasing drive time per day decreases substantially the payback time in relation to an ICE vehicle running on gasoline and thus that the hybrid vehicle is an economically attractive option for commercial vehicles with long drive times. In the case where the battery has reached volume production prices at £70 kWh−1 and current fuel duty values remain unchanged then a payback time <2 years is obtained. For a light delivery van operating with 6 h drive time per day, a fuel cell system model predicted a gasoline equivalent fuel economy of 25.1 km L−1, almost twice that of a gasoline fuelled ICE vehicle of the same size, and CO2 emissions of 71.6 g km−1, well below any new technology target set so far. It is therefore recommended that a SOFC/ZEBRA demonstration be built to further explore its viability. 相似文献

Solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) based micro combined heat and power (micro-CHP) systems exhibit fundamentally different characteristics from other common micro-CHP technologies. Of particular relevance to this article is that they have a low heat-to-power ratio and may benefit from avoidance of thermal cycling. Existing patterns of residential heat demand in the UK, often characterised by morning and evening heating periods, do not necessarily complement the characteristics of SOFC based micro-CHP in an economic and technical sense because of difficulties in responding to large rapid heat demands (low heat-to-power ratio) and preference for continuous operation (avoidance of thermal cycling). In order to investigate modes of heat delivery that complement SOFC based micro-CHP a number of different heat demand profiles for a typical UK residential dwelling are considered along with a detailed model of SOFC based micro-CHP technical characteristics. Economic and environmental outcomes are modelled for each heat demand profile. A thermal energy store is then added to the analysis and comment is made on changes in economic and environmental parameters, and on the constraints of this option. We find that SOFC-based micro-CHP is best suited to slow space heating demands, where the heating system is on constantly during virtually all of the winter period. Thermal energy storage is less useful where heat demands are slow, but is better suited to cases where decoupling of heat demand and heat supply can result in efficiencies. 相似文献

In this work, coffee silverskin (CSS) fibers were subjected to alkali pretreatment (ALK-CSS) and alkali pretreatment, followed by a 4-bar steam explosion process (SEW4). Both treated fibers presented a higher degree of crystallinity, enhanced thermal resistance and also cleaner, rough, and defibrillated surface due to the removal of noncellulosic components, as was shown in scanning electron microscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, Fourier-transform infrared spectra, and x-ray diffraction (XRD) results. The SEW4 fibers were incorporated into the poly(butylene adipate-co-terephthalate) (PBAT) matrix in contents up to 5% wt. through melt processing. PBAT/SEW4 composites were evaluated by their microstructure, thermal properties, degree of crystallinity, and hydrophilic behavior. XRD results showed PBAT/SEW4 composites with higher degrees of crystallinity and contact angle tests revealed increased composite hydrophobicity with the increase of SEW4 content in the PBAT matrix. In the study, we have examined the antitumor and antimicrobial activities of the methanol extract, the fractions, a fraction of total alkaloids and two alkaloids isolated from the stem of Erythroxylum caatingae Plowman. All test fractions, except the hexane fractions, showed antimicrobial activity on gram-positive bacteria and fungi. The acetate: methanol (95:5), acetate, chloroform and hexane fractions show the highest cytotoxicity activity against the NCI-H292, HEp-2 and K562 cell lines using MTT. The absence of hemolysis in the erythrocytes of mice was observed in these fractions and 6β-Benzoyloxy-3α-(3,4,5- trimethoxybenzoyloxy) tropane (catuabine B). Staining with Annexin V-FITC and JC-1 was used to verify the mechanism of action of the compounds of E. caatingae that showed cytotoxicity less than 30 μg/mL in leukemic cells. After 48 h of incubation, we observed that the acetate: methanol (95:5), acetate, and chloroform fractions, as well as the catuabine B, increased in the number of cells in early apoptosis, from 53.0 to 74.8%. An analysis of the potential of the mitochondrial membrane by incorporation of JC-1 showed that most cells during incubation of the acetate: methanol (95:5) and acetate fractions (63.85 and 59.2%) were stained, suggesting the involvement of an intrinsic pathway of apoptosis. 相似文献

The present work aims to evaluate the increase in the number of spot welds in the 16 × 16 type fuel assembly structure that connects guide thimbles and spacer grids, in order to provide a proper joint for this connection. This new and improved process can provide more stiffness to the whole structure, since the number of spots raised from four to eight. A 3-D geometric model of a guide thimble section was generated in a CAD (computer aided design) program (SolidWorks). After that, the geometric model was imported to a CAE (computer aided engineering) program (ANSYS Mechanical APDL, Release 14.0), where the finite element model was built, considering the guide thimble geometry assembled with the spacer grid through the welded connections. Boundaries conditions were implemented in the model in order to simulate the correct physical behavior due to the operation of the fuel assembly inside the reactor. The analysis covered specific loads and displacements acting on the entire structure. The method used to solve this finite element analysis was a linear static simulation in order to perform the connection between a spacer grid cell and a guide thimble section. Hence, four models was evaluated, differing on the spot weld number in the spacer grid and guide thimble connection. The rotational stiffness results of each model were compared. The results acquired from four and eight spot weld were validated with physical test results. The behavior of the structure under the acting force/displacement and the related results of the analysis, mainly the stiffness, were satisfied. The results of this analysis were used to prove that the increasing spot welds number is an improvement in the dimensional stability when submitted to loads and displacements required on the fuel assembly design. This analysis aid to get more information of extreme importance such as, the pursuance to develop better manufacturing process and to improve the fuel assembly performance due to the increasing of the bum-up. 相似文献

A multiclass and multiresidue method for pesticide analysis in tomato was validated. Extraction and pre-concentration of the pesticide residues from acetonitrile extracts was performed by using dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction (DLLME) technique, followed by gas chromatography-mass detection. DLLME was performed using carbon tetrachloride as extractive solvent and acetonitrile extract as dispersive solvent, in order to increase enrichment factor of the extraction procedure. Validation parameters indicated the suitability of the method for routine analyses of thirty pesticides in a large number of samples. In general, pesticide recoveries ranged between 70% and 110% and repeatability ranged between 1% and 20%. The proposed method was applied to the monitoring of pesticides in tomatoes grown during winter in greenhouses. Among the compounds considered in this work, cyprodinil was found in tomato at concentrations of 0.33mg/kg, other pesticides like azoxystrobin, fenhexanid, tolyfluanid, λ-cyhalothrin and trifloxystrobin were also detected, but, not quantified. 相似文献
