Electron-spin resonance (ESR) for the charge-ordered state in well-characterized Pr0.65Ca0.35MnO3 exhibited significant change of both the absorption profile and the effective spin susceptibility upon injection of laser light with photon energy of 1.17 eV provided by Nd-YAG laser. The increase of the effective spin susceptibility was clearly found out thanks to the injection of photons in the temperature range 90 K–80 K, which is below the transition temperature from the antiferromagnetic charge ordered state to the canted antiferromagnetic spin alternation state, T CAF125 K. The temperature dependence of the change of the ESR profile excludes the possibility of heating by laser light. The present result suggests that a kind of photo-induced insulator–metal transition may occur due to propagation of the delocalized carriers via probable double exchange interaction in the charge-ordering collapsed state created by the injection of photons.  相似文献

The magnetic behavior of the distorted perovskite manganese, Pr0.65Ca0.35MnO3 was studied by X-band electron spin resonance for powder samples. We observed the onset of the charge-ordered state at T CO215 K, the antiferromagnetic transition with the peak of the ESR linewidth, H p–p at T AF180 K and the canted antiferromagnetic transition at T CAF125 K associated with the abrupt increase of both the effective magnetization and H p–p . Below 90 K, the absorption intensity profile becomes weakened with decreasing temperature suggesting the existence of some kind of magnetic disorder below 90 K, which is responsible for a part of evidence of the existence of the spin-glass state as has been proposed by Yoshizawa et al., Phys. Rev. B 52, 1689 (1996).  相似文献

The effects of the polymorphic form on the compression mechanism of forms A, B, and F of phenobarbital were investigated using a compression simulator, mercury porosimetry, X-ray diffraction analysis, BET gas absorption method, and scanning electron microscopic (SEM) photography. The order of tablet hardness obtained from all phenobarbital polymorphs was form A ≥ form B ≥ form F in accordance with that of the specific surface area. The Cooper and Eaton method was applied to evaluate two individual compression processes: particle rearrangement (phase I) and fragmentation and/or deformation (phase II). The parameters for compression processes were calculated using a nonlinear regression analyses program, and the compression energies of phases I and II were calculated from these parameters. The relationship between specific surface area after compression and compression energy at phase I showed a good linear correlation, but their ratio did not. In contrast, the specific surface area ratio showed a linear relationship with the compression energy on phase II, but again the ratio of these two parameters did not. The tablet hardness showed a linear relationship with the specific surface area ratio, but not with the specific surface area. Again, the ratio of these two parameters did not show a linear relationship.  相似文献

Culture media from rat basophilic leukemia cells (RBL-2H3) induced the neurite outgrowth of rat pheochromocytoma PC12 cells, a model system for neuronal differentiation. The extension of the neurite outgrowth was dependent on the culture time of RBL-2H3 cells in the DMEM medium. The DMEM medium conditioned by RBL-2H3 cells for 48 h induced neurite outgrowth of PC12 cells significantly. The neurite extension was much higher than that by medium containing 1 ng/ml nerve growth factor (NGF) but was rather lower than that by medium containing 10 or 50 ng/ml NGF. The neurite extension by 50 ng/ml NGF was completely suppressed by excess anti-NGF antibody (1-1.5 microg/ml), while the extension by culture medium conditioned by RBL-2H3 cells for 48 h was not completely suppressed in the presence of the same amount of anti-NGF antibody. The neurite extension by the culture medium of RBL-2H3 cells was also suppressed by anti-interleukin (IL)-6 antibody (1 microg/ml), although IL-6 itself (20 units) could scarcely induce the neurite outgrowth of PC12 cells. This suggests that IL-6 in the culture medium of RBL-2H3 cells could be effective in inducing the neurite extension in cooperation with NGF. In the presence of an excess of both anti-NGF and anti-IL-6 antibodies, the culture medium of RBL-2H3 cells induced the neurite extension of PC12 cells. This suggests that the action of the various factors from RBL-2H3 cells may be synergistic as far as the neurite outgrowth of PC12 cells is concerned.  相似文献

Steady and cyclic creep tests with internal pressure were performed at temperatures of 800 to 1000°C on Hastelloy X cylinders with and without a circumferential Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding technique. The creep rupture strength of the TIG welded cylinders was much lower than that of the non-welded cylinders whilst creep rupture strength reduction by the TIG technique was not observed in uniaxial creep tests. The reason for the low creep strength of welded cylinders is discussed and it is noted that the creep ductility of weld metal plays an essentially important role.In order to improve the creep strength of the TIG welded cylinder, various welding procedures with assorted weld metals were investigated. Some improvements were obtained by using welding techniques which had either Incoloy 800 or a modified Hastelloy X material as the filler metal.  相似文献

The source and environmental behavior of dioxin-like polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) together with other PCBs and polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins and dibenzofurans (PCDDs/PCDFs) were evaluated based on analysis of variations in their atmospheric concentrations in Yokohama, Japan. Potential factors responsible for variations in the atmospheric concentrations of the congeners were investigated by principal component analysis and multiple regression analysis of the data. Two major variations were seen: one had strong temperature dependence, while the other had no significant temperature dependence. A possible explanation for this difference is that the former is related to congeners released by volatilization (e.g., volatilization from commercial PCB products and past polluted environments), while the latter is related to congeners emitted from thermal processes. The relative contributions of dioxin-like PCBs released by volatilization and those emitted from thermal processes were estimated based on the temperature dependence of the atmospheric concentrations. The results suggest that both dioxin-like PCBs emitted from thermal processes and those released by volatilization are significant sources of air pollution in this area in terms of the toxic equivalent (TEQ) for dioxin-like PCBs. We demonstrated that the present approach based on variations in atmospheric concentrations can be useful in providing a qualitative as well as quantitative understanding of source information.  相似文献

Simple and comprehensive two-dimensional (2D)-HPLC was studied in a reversed-phase mode using monolithic silica columns for second-dimension (2nd-D) separation. Every fraction from the first column, 15 cm long (4.6-mm i.d.), packed with fluoroalkylsilyl-bonded (FR) silica particles, was subjected to the separation in the 2nd-D using one or two octadecylsilylated (C(18)) monolithic silica columns (4.6-mm i.d., 3 cm). Monolithic silica columns in the 2nd-D were eluted at a flow rate of up to 10 mL/min with separation time of 30 s that meets the fractionation every 15-30 s at the first dimension (1st-D) operated at a flow rate of 0.4-0.8 mL/min. Three cases were studied. (1) In the simplest scheme of 2D-HPLC, effluent of the 1st-D was directly loaded into an injector loop of 2nd-D HPLC for 28 s, and 2 s was allowed for injection. (2) Two six-port valves each having a sample loop were used to hold the effluent of the 1st-D alternately for 30 s for one 2nd-D column to effect comprehensive 2D-HPLC without the loss of 1st-D effluent. (3) Two monolithic silica columns were used for 2nd-D by using a switching valve and two sets of 2nd-D chromatographs separating each fraction of the 1st-D effluent with the two 2nd-D columns alternately. In this case, two columns of the same stationary phase (C(18)) or different phases, C(18) and (pentabromobenzyloxy)propylsilyl-bonded (PBB), could be employed at the 2nd-D, although the latter needed two complementary runs. The systems produced peak capacity of approximately 1000 in approximately 60 min in cases 1 and 2 and in approximately 30 min in case 3. The three stationary phases, FR, C(18), and PBB, showed widely different selectivity from each other, making 2D separations possible. The simple and comprehensive 2D-HPLC utilizes the stability and high efficiency at high linear velocities of monolithic silica columns.  相似文献

We studied the effect of cleaning and cooking on the residues of flutolanil, fenobucarb, silafluofen and buprofezin in rice. The rice had been sprayed in a paddy field in Wakayama city, with 3 kinds of pesticide application protocols: spraying once at the usual concentration of pesticides, repeated spraying (3 times) with the usual concentration of pesticides and spraying once with 3 times the usual concentration of pesticides. The residue levels of pesticide decreased during the rice cleaning process. Silafluofen, which has a higher log Pow value, remained in the hull of the rice. Fenobucarb, which has a lower log Pow value, penetrated inside the rice. The residue concentration of pesticide in polished rice was higher than that in pre-washed rice processed ready for cooking. During the cooking procedure, the reduction of pesticides in polished rice was higher than that in brown rice.  相似文献
