The paper deals with the problem of identifying the constants in a system described by linear ordinary or partial differential equations on the basis of noise-free observations. The techniques presented are derived from the ideas of R. Bellman and include applications of quasi-linearization, differential approximation, and dynamic programming. From knowledge of available input-output data, a numerical procedure is presented to determine both the system parameters and the initial conditions to best fit the output data in the least squared sense. For systems containing parameters which are known to change at specific but unknown times, a technique of segmental differential approximation is used. In the case of partial differential equations, the problem of dealing with partial information is discussed.  相似文献

Pulp-enriched cloudy apple juices were manufactured from two apple varieties by blending of apple puree with natural cloudy apple juice in order to enrich bioactive secondary plant substances. Finishing of the puree with a 0.6-mm mesh screen and final product homogenisation revealed as the optimum processing technology for the novel 100% fruit beverage. The presence of large particles originating from the puree prevented long-term cloud stability, but due to the proportion of cloud-stable juice a complete phase separation did not occur. Optimal drinkability was achieved at a viscosity of 11.5 mPa s. Polyphenol compositions and concentrations were determined by means of RP-HPLC/PDA. The results ranged from 109 to 610 mg/l. All samples showed the typical polyphenol pattern of apples with dominating hydroxycinnamic acids followed by flavanols and flavonols. The puree addition to the cloudy apple juices increased the polyphenol concentrations by average 100%. Relatively, the highest increase could be observed for dimeric procyanidins. Different technological variants did not affect significantly the polyphenol concentrations. The dietary fibre contents of the pulp-enriched cloudy apple juices ranged from 5.8 to 9.4 g/l.  相似文献

The objective of this research was to study whether survival analysis results in a more accurate genetic evaluation for female fertility traits compared with the usual methodology based on linear models. The fertility trait studied was interval between calving and last insemination. A stochastic simulation describing the reproductive cycle of first-parity cows was done, in which true breeding values for conception rate were created. A model containing effects of sire and herd was used both with survival analysis and with mixed linear model analysis to predict sire breeding values. Correlations between true breeding values for conception rate and breeding values for calving to last insemination predicted by the best survival analysis model or the best linear model were 0.77 and 0.68, respectively. The results showed that when pregnancy status is known, survival analysis is a better method than linear models for genetic evaluation of conception rate when using observations on the interval between calving and last insemination.  相似文献

The objective of this study was to evaluate the functional properties of lactic acid bacteria (LAB) from kimchi, a traditional Korean fermented vegetable product generally consumed raw as a side-dish with practically every meal.Twelve mild acid producing facultatively heterofermentative Lactobacillus strains were selected for their potential as starter cultures for fermentation of kimchi, and evaluated for their functional properties. Eleven strains were identified as Lactobacillus sakei and one as Lactobacillus plantarum. The strains identified as L. sakei differed in some physiological features; of particular interest was the fact that 9 of these strains produced L(+) lactic acid from glucose in presence of acetate.All strains were able to survive gastrointestinal conditions simulating stomach and duodenum passage. In addition, they showed higher adherence to HT-29 cells than Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG, a commercial probiotic strain used worldwide. These strains also showed antimicrobial activity against a number of food-borne pathogens. Their ability to lower cholesterol was demonstrated by BSH (bile salt hydrolytic) activity, and cholesterol assimilation tests in vitro. The results suggest the probiotic potential of these strains for use in kimchi fermentation.  相似文献

Scope : Decreasing postprandial glycaemic excursions may have a beneficial effect on inflammatory and oxidative stress profiles. In this study, we investigated the impact of carbohydrate digestibility modulation per se, as a means of reducing the glycaemic response, on metabolic and inflammatory responses in subjects with metabolic risk factors. Methods and results : Twenty healthy subjects with metabolic risk consumed a cereal product either high in Slowly Digestible Starch (HSDS) or low in SDS (LSDS) at breakfast daily for 3 weeks, in a cross‐over design. Following each 3‐week session, postprandial glycaemia, insulinaemia, the lipid profile, inflammation and oxidative stress markers were assessed and compared to those induced by ingestion of a glucose solution (as a reference). The 2‐h glycaemic and insulinaemic responses were significantly lower following the HSDS breakfast compared with the LSDS breakfast or glucose. No significant differences between the products were observed in terms of the lipid profile, C‐reactive protein, IL‐6 and tumour necrosis factor alpha. We observed a slight increase in fasting lipid peroxidation markers, including an increase in plasma malondialdehyde (MDA) and a decrease in whole blood glutathione (GSH), without significant alteration of urinary F2‐isoprostanes or plasma glutathione peroxidase (GPx) activity. Conclusion : Consumption of HSDS products for 3 weeks significantly altered both postprandial glycaemia and insulinaemia, but was not sufficient to modify the inflammatory profile. Consumption of both cereal products was associated with a slightly higher fasting oxidative stress profile.  相似文献
