The use of the high evaporation enthalpy of water is one of the oldest technologies of refrigeration for food preservation used by the mankind. One could nearly celebrate the true 5000th anniversary of this technology. Nowadays we call the refrigeration by evaporation from wet surfaces “adiabatic refrigeration”, it regulates, for instance, our body heat by evaporating sweat. After the introduction of some vacuum pumps into the experimental scientific works, 250 years ago, namely in Great Britan, the modern form of “artificial” refrigeration began its career, the evaporation of liquids under the absence of permanent gasses in vacuum. The vacuum refrigeration has been nearly abruptly stopped by the development of compression refrigeration processes, about 150 years ago. Only after world war 2, a reintroduction of vacuum refrigeration began again. Now, at the beginning of the 3. milennium, there are good chances for recovering terrain. 相似文献

Although the density of states (DOS) distribution of charge transporting states in an organic semiconductor is vital for device operation, its experimental assessment is not at all straightforward. In this work, the technique of energy resolved–electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (ER-EIS) is employed to determine the DOS distributions of valence (highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO)) as well as electron (lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (LUMO)) states in several organic semiconductors in the form of neat and blended films. In all cases, the core of the inferred DOS distributions are Gaussians that sometimes carry low energy tails. A comparison of the HOMO and LUMO DOS of P3HT inferred from ER-EIS and photoemission (PE) or inverse PE (IPE) spectroscopy indicates that the PE/IPE spectra are by a factor of 2–3 broader than the ER-EIS spectra, implying that they overestimate the width of the distributions. A comparison of neat films of MeLPPP and SF-PDI2 or PC(61)BM with corresponding blends reveals an increased width of the DOS in the blends. The results demonstrate that this technique does not only allow mapping the DOS distributions over five orders of magnitude and over a wide energy window of 7 eV, but can also delineate changes that occur upon blending. 相似文献

The paper describes the implementation of a novel Analog-to-Digital-Converter (ADC) test technique for next generation low cost massive parallel ADC testing using a Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) on tester load board. The goal is to test the ADC which is embedded in an automotive micro controller with only pure digital tester sources. Therefore, the analog test stimulus for the ADC is generated by using ΔΣ-modulation technique off-line and analog filtering on load board. The digital test response is analyzed by a FPGA in real time by comparing the measured data with a reference signal. The modular concept of FPGA evaluation allows for quick and flexible reaction on changing production test requirements. Simply by reprogramming the FPGA with a new module there is no need of any hardware reconfigurations. Universal scaling features of polarization switching are established experimentally in rather different classes of disordered ferroelectrics: in well‐studied lead‐zirconate titanate (PZT) ferroelectrics, in recently synthesized Cu‐stabilized 0.94(Bi1/2Na1/2)TiO3–0.06BaTiO3 (BNT‐BT) relaxor ferroelectrics, and in classical organic ferroelectrics P(VDF‐TrFE). These scaling properties are explained by an extended concept of an inhomogeneous field mechanism (IFM) of polarization dynamics in ferroelectrics. Accordingly, disordered ferroelectrics exhibit a wide spectrum of characteristic switching times due to a statistical distribution of values of the local electric field. How this distribution can be extracted from polarization measurements is demonstrated. Generally, it is shown that the polarization response is primarily controlled by the statistical characteristics of disorder rather than by a temporal law of the local polarization switching. 相似文献
