The first part of this publication dealt with the effect of synthesis conditions on short and long-chain branching of low density polyethylene; this second part reports on the effect on the molar mass, the molar mass distribution and the polydispersity that can be determined from these parameters. The average molar mass was measured with a membrane osmometer and the molar mass distribution by gel permeation chromatography, using the same samples as those used for the branching analysis. These samples were produced in continuously operating stirred autoclaves under widely differing polymerization conditions. The number-average molar mass falls as the polymerization temperature and the initiator concentration rises and the pressure decreases. When the polymerization temperature is high, the molar mass distribution is narrower and less asymmetrical. When the polymerization temperature is low, there are broader, more asymmetrical distributions with a larger higher molar mass fraction. The polydispersity calculated from the molar mass distribution falls accordingly as the polymerization temperature rises. The polyethylene samples produced in a squat stirred autoclave have a higher polydispersity than those produced in a narrow autoclave. These findings have been confirmed on commercial products produced in various types of reactors.  相似文献

Large-grained ingots of CdGeAs2 have been grown from near-stoichiometric melts. Resistivity and Hall coefficient (RH) measurements were made on a large number of samples at 77 and 300 K and in some cases up to 450 K. Good fits to the log RH vs 1/T plots are obtained by using a model that assumes three kinds of electronic levels within the energy gap: donors, shallow acceptors, and acceptors with an ionization energy of 0. 30 eV. The deep acceptors are probably native defects, since their concentration varies by nearly four orders of magnitude from ingot to ingot with little change in impurity concentration. Between the intrinsic absorption edge at about 2. 5 Μm and the two-phonon absorption band at 18 Μm, the optical absorption increases with increasing deep acceptor concentration. By using oriented single-crystal samples ∼ 1 cm on a side, conversion efficiencies as high as 27% have been achieved for second-harmonic generation with single-mode pulses from a CO2 TEA laser.  相似文献

Long term cell lines can be readily established at high frequency with PBLs from normal channel catfish. Depending upon the mode of stimulation, morphologically and functionally distinct catfish lymphoid cell lines resembling B cells, T cells and monocytes have been developed. These fish cell lines appear unique from their putative mammalian counterparts in that they are immortalized without the need for exogenous factors or overt attempts at transformation.  相似文献

The increasing use of mice in renal and cardiovascular studies has necessitated adapting physiological methods used for rats to mice, which are far smaller in size. We have adapted measurements of continuous renal blood flow, pressure natriuresis and diuresis, and laser-Doppler cortical and medullary flow to 40 g mice with DOCA-salt hypertension. We demonstrated a rightward shift in the pressure-natriuresis-diuresis curve. We conclude that with current, commercially-available equipment, sophisticated renal physiology can be conducted in the mouse. These methods will be important to investigations of gene-targeted mice.  相似文献

Decreased heart rate variability (HRV) is associated with congestive heart failure, post-myocardial infarction, ventricular arrhythmias, sudden cardiac death, and advancing age. A deletion/insertion polymorphism in the angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) gene and a substitution (M235T) in the angiotensinogen gene have been associated with risk for heart disease. The aim of this study was to determine the heritability of HRV and related parameters in monozygotic and dizygotic twins and to assess the influence of ACE and angiotensinogen polymorphisms. We studied 95 MZ pairs and 46 DZ pairs. We measured HRV and related parameters, ACE and angiotensinogen levels, plasma norepinephrine, ACE, and angiotensinogen genotypes. We found that HRV and related parameters were significantly influenced by genetic variability, although nonshared genetic effects were also important. Angiotensinogen and plasma norepinephrine were generally correlated with decreased HRV, whereas ACE was correlated with perturbances of normal rhythmic HRV. Nevertheless, the DD ACE genotype was associated with increased HRV (p <0.05), whereas angiotensinogen polymorphisms had no effect. We conclude that HRV and related parameters are in part heritable. Interestingly, the DD ACE genotype is associated with increased HRV.  相似文献

Essential hypertension is a polygenic disease. Various genes responsible for rare monogenic forms of hypertension have been identified in the recent years. These are glucocorticoid remediable aldosteronism (GRA), Liddle's syndrome and apparent mineralocorticoid excess (AME). A fourth form, the Bilginturan syndrome is associated with brachydactyly and resembles essential hypertension. The investigations of the pathomechanisms in these rare diseases can help us to understand common hypertension.  相似文献

Es kommt zu Strahlauswanderungen, die, in Abhängigkeit vom Meßort auf der Probe, im Bereich von 100 μm liegen können.
