We report the successful application of reduced graphene oxide–titania (rGO–TiO2) nanocomposite as an efficient photoanode for dye‐sensitized solar cell (DSSC). The DSSC assembled with the rGO–TiO2‐modified photoanode demonstrated an enhanced solar to electrical energy conversion efficiency of 4.74% compared with the photoanode of DSSC composed with unmodified TiO2 (2.19%) under full sunlight illumination (100 mW/cm2, AM 1.5G) as a result of the better charge collection efficiency of rGO, which reduced the back electron transfer process. Influence of the rGO content on the overall efficiency was also investigated, and the optimal rGO content for TiO2 was 0.5 mg. Further, the modification of rGO–TiO2 on the compact layer TiO2 surface led to an increase in efficiency to 5.83%. The superior charge collection and enhanced solar energy conversion efficiency of the rGO–TiO2 nanocomposite makes it to be used as a promising alternative to conventional photoanode‐based DSSCs. In this study, we examined the role of leadership styles and multi-dimensional learner engagement in how students emerge as learning leaders in asynchronous online discussions. Grounded in the conceptual framework of two dominant leadership styles of transformational and transactional leadership, this study applies the two leadership styles—transformational leadership and transactional leadership—to the Leader Identification Method (LIM) which defines three types of leader roles (i.e., full, transactional and attractive facilitator) in online learning. We collected data from 20 students enrolled in a graduate-level online course that required participation in 12-week discussion activities. Results of the longitudinal data analyses show that person-focused, transformational leadership and active participation in online discussions were significant factors that enabled students to emerge as learning leaders. Students are more likely to become leaders by exhibiting transformational leadership behaviour and productively interacting with one another in an online discussion community.  相似文献

In MPEG-4 scalable lossless coding (SLS) which was recently published as an ISO standard in June 2006, the integer modified discrete cosine transform (IntMDCT) was adopted to enable efficient lossless reconstruction. In addition, there is an MDCT filterbank which is inherent to the advanced audio coding (AAC) core that is present in the SLS codec. The presence of two filterbanks have undoubtedly increased the complexity of the implementation, and it is for this reason that the MDCT is disabled and the IntMDCT is then the only type of filterbank that is employed in SLS for both lossy and lossless operations. Because of the rounding operations in the IntMDCT, there is a concern if the use of IntMDCT for perceptual audio coding will eventually degrade the fidelity of the audio codec. This paper addresses this concern by analyzing the performance of the IntMDCT in a lossy coding scenario. It is found that noise introduced by the IntMDCT does not affect the perceptual quality of the coded audio under standard playback circumstances. As such, it concludes that the MDCT and IntMDCT filterbanks are interchangeable at lossy bitrate, and the way of using only the IntMDCT filterbank in scalable audio coding is also justified.  相似文献

A classical sintering theory predicts that a pore with high coordination number grows instead of shrinking during sintering. This has led to the proposition that grain growth may be beneficial to densification. Pan and colleagues argue against this theory using computer simulations, while Flinn and colleagues have provided direct experimental evidence showing that very large pores shrink despite their high coordination number. The current paper brings the analytical and experimental work together. In particular, further computer simulation evidence is provided to support the argument and an analytical model is developed to predict the densification rate of powder compacts containing large and small pores. The analytical model shows that there is a sudden reduction in the shrinking rate of the large pores when the small pores are eliminated.  相似文献

A simplified parallel step-by-step decoding algorithm is proposed for decoding Reed-Solomon (RS) codes. It uses new method to calculate the determinants of the temporarily changed syndrome matrices, based on the property of these matrices determined in this paper. By using the proposed method, the calculations of the determinants of the temporarily changed syndrome matrices become much simpler and thus the computational complexity of the step-by-step decoding algorithm is significantly reduced.  相似文献

Focusing on the framework of how to realize the molecular spintronics in a single molecular magnet, we present theoretical studies on the spin-polarized quantum transport behavior through a single Mn12 molecular magnet. Our theoretical results were obtained by carrying out density functional theoretical calculation within the Keldysh nonequilibrium Green function formalism. The ultimate goal of the molecular spintronics is to develop single molecule transistors which generate spin-polarized currents through the molecular magnet. We obtained the density of states, the transmission coefficients and the characteristic features of the current-voltage (I-V) on the spin-polarized transport properties of Mn12 by the theoretical calculation. These results show the possibility for the realization of molecular spintroinics using single molecular magnets.  相似文献
