The aluminum aryloxide was prepared via the reaction of phenolic antioxidant, 3‐(3,5‐di‐t‐butyl‐4‐hydroxyphenyl)‐N‐octadecylpropionamide, with triethyl aluminum. Propylene polymerization using supported Ziegler–Natta catalyst systems was carried out in the presence of the antioxidant or its aluminum aryloxide. Although the antioxidant gave rise to decrease in catalyst yield and change in hydrogen response, the aluminum aryloxide had no influence on the catalytic polymerization behavior, and thus the obtained polymer characteristics such as molecular weight, polydispersity, and meso pentad as a stereoregularity were comparable to that polymerized without the antioxidant and the aluminum aryloxide. Polypropylene obtained in the presence of the aluminum aryloxide was well stabilized for oxidation and its stability was over 1000 h at 100°C (estimated to be over 30 years at room temperature). © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Depassivation–repassivation of iron surfaces in boric–borate solutions were investigated by using the micro-indentation test. A pair of current peaks due to repair of the passive film following rupture of the film were observed during a series of indenter drives, i.e., loading and unloading of the indenter. The shape of the current peak depended on environmental conditions (conductivity and pH of the solution) and substrate conditions (mechanical processing history, alloyed element) as well as indentation conditions (repetition, maximum depth, and maximum load). Plastic deformation of the surface was accompanied by surface depassivation, while no depassivation occurred during the elastic deformation, indicating that the passive film on iron has a ductile property. The solution conditions did not affect the scale of depassivation but affected the rate of repassivation. Dislocations in the substrate made surface depassivation difficult but enhanced reactivity during the repassivation. The test also revealed that type-312L stainless steel has high corrosion resistance in a concentrated NaCl solution.  相似文献

BACKGROUND: The formation of polyphenol microspheres by the polymerization of 3‐methylcatechol was performed in a methanol/phosphate buffer solution using horseradish peroxidase (HRP), without the use of a surfactant or a water/oil interface, to be used for germanium recovery. RESULTS: The polyphenol microspheres were of diameter 1 mm. The functional group density of phenol group in the polymer was approximately 15 mol kg?1 determined by the Folin‐Denis method. In batchwise experiments, the amount of germanium adsorbed was 0.23 mol kg?1. CONCLUSION: Because germanium is a rare metal, a system for its recovery is required. Using the proposed system, continuous recovery of germanium can be achieved using multilayered microspheres. Copyright © 2011 Society of Chemical Industry  相似文献

Atomic resolution high voltage electron microscopy was applied in investigations of the atomic structure of [112] sigma3 CSL grain boundary of silicon. Images of the grain boundary, viewed in the < 110 > direction, showed two types of dark spots. One type was rod shaped, which represented an atomic pair aligned in the < 111 > direction. The other was a small round spot, which represented a single atomic column in the grain boundary. The atomic structure of [112] sigma3 CSL grain boundary was directly shown from the atomic-structure image.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the structural identification of linear multivariable systems and an interactive identification package. The structural identification is done by taking the time-invariant subsystem from the realizations of the input-output relations identified using data of disjoint time intervals, and the statistical hypothesis test is employed to determine the order, where the input-output relation is identified based on the generalized least squares method using the possibly larger model for the plant. The identification package is for the identification of the input-output relation of a linear multivariable system, for the structural identification based on the realization and for data management.  相似文献

Factors that affect the efficiency of in vitro synthesis of mutant proteins that contain nonnatural amino acids were investigated. The process of the nonnatural mutagenesis consists of chemical aminoacylation of a tRNA that contains a 4-base anticodon, followed by in vitro synthesis in the presence of an mRNA that contains the corresponding 4-base codon. Detailed studies on the time courses of the synthesis revealed two major factors that suppress the yield of nonnatural mutants compared with the wild-type protein. First, a cyclic tRNA that exists as a by-product of the chemical aminoacylation inhibits the protein synthesis. Second, the very short lifetime of a tRNA aminoacylated with a nonnatural amino acid limits the protein yield. As a simple and practical way of surmounting these factors, aminoacyl tRNA was added into the in vitro system at 5 min after the start of the synthesis. The addition increased the protein yield up to the level of conventional proteins in the in vitro system.  相似文献

For the control of a human-cooperative robot (HCR) using a soft material, we aim to verify, in this study, the usefulness of force estimation via physical properties of an air cushion. First, the physical model of the air cushion was represented by an air cylinder with a piston, which is subject to constraint by nonlinear elasticity. Second, the elastic properties of the air cushion were examined under the assumption that it can be formulated by a function of pneumatic pressure. The force applied to the air cushion was next estimated on the basis of the physical model, and the HCR was successfully controlled according to the estimated force.  相似文献

In industry, temperature control and heat flow control are now applied in many thermal devices, including Peltier devices, which facilitates heat transfer by the Peltier effect. Generally, temperature control compensates for heat flowing from the external environment, while heat actively flows into the system during heat flow control. Thus, temperature control and heat flow control differ from each other. However, there have been no detailed discussions of a thermal control process in which the thermal conductance control ranges between 0 and . This paper focuses on thermal conductance control and the construction of a thermal conductance control system for a Peltier device using a heat disturbance observer. When using the thermal conductance controller, the thermal conductance control is altered and the system becomes thermally compliant with the external environment. Abstract

A novel adsorbent Zr(IV)-immobilized resin was prepared to remove fluoride ions from tap water and industrial wastewater. In order to enhance both the kinetics and efficiency, large pathways were formed in the resin for fluoride ion adsorption and the Zr(IV)-phosphate complexes were immobilized on the polymer surface by surface-template polymerization. The Zr(IV)-immobilized resin had a fluoride adsorption capacity of 0.30 mmol/g. The morphology of the Zr(IV)-immobilized resin was evaluated by measuring the specific surface area, pore volume, and pore size distribution. The resin possessed large amounts of large macropores with diameters around 300 nm. The molecular structure at the fluoride adsorption sites was investigated by measuring the amounts of phosphorus, zirconium, and fluoride ion in the resin, and developing a model complex using computational chemistry. On the polymer surface, a fluoride ion/Zr(IV)/dioleyl phosphoric acid complex with an ideal F:Zr:P mole ratio of 3:1:3 could be formed.  相似文献
