The purpose of our work is to control the interfacial bonds between PVC and NBR using the ammonium salts of triazine thiols and dithiodimorpholine (DTDM) and thereby reveal the relation between the interfacial bonds and the final mechanical properties of products. In the experimental work a two-stage process was used. At first, an NBR/PVC blend was mixed with a mono-tetra-n-butylammonium salt of triazine trithiol at a temperature of 100°C on a two-roll mill to give the branching structure of triazine thiols into PVC. In the second stage branched NBR/PVC reacted with DTDM to afford the branched PVC containing trithiomorphonyl groups. In the presence of ZnO at 160°C trithiomorphonyl groups react with NBR to form a crosslinking structure between NBR and PVC. The mechanical properties of cured NBR/PVC blends were markedly improved by the treatment process and after addition of tetramethylthiuram monosulphide also. The mechanical properties were not improved by increasing the concentration of TT-TBA (tetrabutylammonium salt of 1,3,5-triazine-2,4,6-trithiol) over 4.2 phr.  相似文献

A fail-safe logic circuit must switch the output signal to the logical value “0” when an operation circuit fails. A transformer has such favorable characteristics for fail-safe logic circuits as only the magnetic flux change is transmitted and a superposition of magnetic flux is realized. Thus those characteristics arc applied to a failsafe logic operator. A new fail-safe logic operator using an insulated planar transformer was developed for a fail-safe majority operation and a fail-safe interlocking. In this paper, the principle, structure, design and fundamental characteristics of the new fail-safe logic operator are described.  相似文献

Summary Plasma-polymerized membranes were prepared from fluoroalkyl acrylates and methacrylates by two different directions of monomer injection and the permeation rates of O2 and n2 through the membranes were investigated. The chemical structure and composition of the plasmapolymerized membranes varied significantly by the direction of monomer injection. The optimum plasma conditions to yield maximum gas separation characteristics was obtained by the remote plasma excitation at the W/FM value of 20 J/mg, where W is the discharge power, F is the monomer flow rate and M is the molecular weight of the monomer.  相似文献

The telomerase enzyme is capable of replacing telomeric DNA sequences that are lost at each cell division. It has been suggested that the function of this enzyme is necessary for cells to become immortal, and in concordance with this hypothesis, telomerase activity has been detected in malignant tumor cells, whereas the enzyme is inactive in normal somatic cells. The measurement of this activity in human tissue samples may have diagnostic value, and in this study, we examined whether such a measurement may be useful for the detection of malignant cells within the thyroid. Telomerase activity was assayed using the telomeric repeat amplification protocol and related to the histological diagnosis of thyroid biopsy tissue samples and of cells obtained from the thyroid by fine-needle aspiration (FNA). Extracts from 9 of 11 (82%) carcinoma biopsy tissue samples contained telomerase activity, whereas enzyme activity was detected in only 2 of 14 (14%) benign tissue sample extracts. These two positive cases were subsequently diagnosed as Graves' disease with severe lymphocytic infiltration. Five of six (83.3%) histologically confirmed carcinoma FNA samples were identified by using the telomeric repeat amplification protocol assay, and two samples considered to be suspicious by FNA cytology were also positive. Conversely, only 4 of 48 (8.3%) benign FNA samples had telomerase. These promising data indicate that this sensitive assay could become a useful adjunct to microscopic cytopathology in the detection of cancer cells in small tissue biopsies and in fine-needle aspirates of the thyroid.  相似文献

The reactive wetting behavior of SiO2 substrates by molten Al was investigated at temperatures between 800 °C to 1250 °C in a purified Ar-3 pct H2 atmosphere of about 0.11 MPa using an improved sessile drop method. The time dependence of the changes in contact angle and droplet geometry was monitored and the wetting kinetics was identified. The initial equilibrium or quasi-equilibrium contact angles are generally larger than 90 deg and do not significantly vary with temperature. The subsequent remarkable decrease in the contact angle mainly results from the progressive decrease in the droplet volume rather than the advance of the solid-liquid interfacial front. The significant effect of temperature on the wetting kinetics is essentially related to its effect on the reaction and molten Al penetration progress. For systems with a considerable decrease in the droplet volume during reactive wetting, a criterion for evaluation of the true wetting improvement was proposed.  相似文献

Narrow and low-loss YBa2Cu3O7-δ (YBCO) coplanar lines, which can be used in multichip module technology for future high-density and high-speed digital circuits, have been developed. Etch-back planarization and a patterning process combining Ar-ion milling and wet-etching enabled us to form an 18-cm-long 5-μm-wide YBCO coplanar line without electrical shorts, even for the narrow spacing of 2.5 μm. The surface resistance of this line was kept at a level comparable to that of 10- or 25-μm-wide YBCO coplanar lines and also comparable to that of unpatterned films. This indicates successful fabrication of the 5-μm-wide YBCO coplanar line without notable loss increase resulting from process damage. The 5-μm-wide line showed a low-transmission loss of 0.49 dB at 10 GHz and 55 K. This level of loss is similar to that in Cu coaxial cables. No significant increase in transmission loss was observed up to an input power level of 16 mW at 10 GHz and 55 K. This input power is comparable to the power-handling capability required for transmitting high-speed digital signals through the lines with characteristic impedance of 50 Ω. For the development of immunotherapy using MAGE peptides, the identification of additional tumor antigens is required. Because HLA-A24 is the most common allele in Japanese and is also frequently present in Caucasians, MAGE-3-encoded synthetic peptides with binding affinity for HLA-A24 were thus tested for the induction of specific CTLs from the peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) of HLA-A24 healthy donors using a simplified method. By using a peptide with a sequence of IMPKAGLLI (amino acid position in MAGE-3 195-203), the CTL responses could thus be induced from unseparated PBMCs by stimulation with freshly isolated, peptide-pulsed PBMCs as antigen-presenting cells (APCs) and by also using interleukin 7 and keyhole limpet hemocyanin for a primary culture. The induced CTLs could lyse HLA-A24 carcinoma cells expressing MAGE-3, as well as the peptide-pulsed target cells, in an HLA class-I restricted manner. The identification of the MAGE-3/HLA-A24 peptide, IMPKAGLLI, may thus potentially offer the opportunities to design peptide-based immunotherapeutic approaches that might prove to be effective in treating patients with MAGE-3-positive malignant tumors.  相似文献
